I already keep track of my stash with detailed excel spreadsheets so I'll keep doing that. I would probably lose a journal. I like this video series because it gives me ideas to help set limits but still have fun, and makes me want to work through my stash instead of always buying more kits. I love to participate in events but this year I'm only going to participate if I already have a kit that meets the requirements. I'm not buying a new kit just for an event. Looking forward to stash count Sundays! 😊
Excellent Lisette love how you created your journal very inspiring . See what i can create Your hand writing is beautiful so neat 😍 thank you for the encouragement . 🥰
This series is amazing! Thank you so much for taking the time to create these and take us step by step through your process. It has given me a lot to think about and I will be adopting a lot of your tips and tricks - especially creating a budget, shopping my stash and setting boundaries for myself.
Awesome video, Lisette, and awesome series! For me, the best part was the last one with the trackers, plus the budget tracker is a close second for me. I'm looking forward to following along with you on your road map!
This was a great video series and I loved all your suggestions. After I complete my stash detox i will be following this plan "Road Map" to the T. Love this!❤
I enjoyed the whole series. I really like the month calendar to plan out what paintings to work on. And deciding how many you will realistically complete each month.
Thank you so much Lisette the budget was the best one for me. Thanks to you I can enjoy DPing on a budget. Your great looking forward to your future video's.
Great series! I feel like we think similarly and I have been tracking a lot of the same things. I personally liked your year long planning. I don't need it for myself and I will likely do only one event at most which I have plenty of kits that fit already but you brought up lots of things I would not have considered. It is definitely a balance of completing, buying, and having fun. I try to be careful with goals because I have a lot of negative associations with them but you inspire me to consider them as guidelines and to not worry so much if it doesn't go quite as planned. See you tomorrow!
I am limited by funds and time, so my addiction doesn't need any further limits. I am very impressed with your ability to break down and explain your complex organizing ideas.
You said you wanted to know what caught my attention the most-so here goes. My goals are few. One year of diamond painting isn't much to go on, especially since it took me at least 6 months to figure out what I wanted from the diamond painting projects themselves. I'm simply going to try out the goals I made as I led into Black Friday sales and see how those work out. But you came up with the idea of planning your time. I'm sure you do better with that sort of thing than I. I do very well when it isn't discretionary, but very poorly when it comes to discretionary time management. I'm recently retired, and digital art and beta testing are still my main "hobbies." But without deadlines, I go down rabbit holes while working on those projects. I want to do more listening to books and podcasts, which means diamond painting to keep me focused, so I'm going to try to figure out a way that works with my rabbit hole hyperfocusing brain. So far, what I've come up with is making every break period about diamond painting, and no more internet surfing because I want a break, but have no plan for how to fill it. We'll see how that works. Don't say set alarms or writing in planners. Duh! That doesn't work with me, even if I still do those things. 😆 Wish me luck!
Ah thanks so much for letting me know. I totally get the 'going down rabbit holes'... That's one of the reasons I do this (planning - not only diamond painting, but other personal stuff/hobbies as well) - I hope to be able to stay focused that way.
Happy New Year to you and yours Lisette. Just caught up on all the videos, thank you for spending so much time and all your effort putting together such a detailed plan for 2025.
I absolutely love this series it was a real eye opener. Definitely going to keep track of my spending this year and I agree the more space and storage you have the more wips you have and when you're not keen on one of the wips they get forgotten on the side burner and remains unfinished for alot longer than you realise. I'm not keen on the evnets because I don't think I have kits that meet the requirements and my stash is big enough that I want to work through it and not get anything new anytime soon.
Thanks for sharing, I always like seeing how folks track things. I do mostly of my tracking in google sheets. But I did appreciate the idea of setting monthly limits (a goal, something more something, and a hard max), with some understood flexibility. I'm going to try that out for my puzzling hobby. For diamond paintings, I'm getting much better at putting things on my wishlist each week instead of immediately buying (which helps me determine what I really want in the long run), but it's still hard to let go of the FOMO and the moments of weakness add up!
Hoi Lisette. Groetjes!!!
Lisette, such an amazing walk through! I will definitely be working along with you! I need partners in this accountability as I will be setting a budget of enough to buy 1 or 2 paintings only as an emergency must have painting. Then working down my stash of 66 kits. I immediately took your event advice and have my first 2 months planned out, this is going to keep me focused. I will now set up my journal and have it on hand while I follow along. Thank you for sharing ❤ I am thankful that I watched all your detox videos and followed along with you on the last part of that amazing accomplishment. This let me know how easy it was in my first year to fall down the rabbit hole into the buy buy all the pretty paintings! Now that I have climbed my way out of dream land and see the reality of my stash 😂 and like you said everyone has personal ideas on this. I know I want to change and get down like you have and goals are the way to achieve this for me.
Hi Lisette after holiday I finally had time to catch up with all the videos. I enjoyed this series and seeing how you go about keeping your stash and spending under control. For myself one of the things I will try to implement is a routine for my hobbies. I have two big hobbies - DP and puzzeling and sometimes I am kind of overwhelmed because I want to do everything at once.... so maybe setting a routine (1 week puzzeling, 1 week DP - or 1 finished DP then 1 full puzzle) might be the way to go. Besides that the 'word' of the year for me will be 'mental strength'. Last year May my stash was going overboard and I wanted to make a full stop and go into detox... well - only worked half.... I did not manage to NOT buy anything but at least the stash did also not grow anymore. For the beginning of the year I reset my journal to a fresh starting point and this time I will try to go down the whole rabbit hole and do a real detox... such as you inspired me to do already with you detox series. I won't do any events as I want to do DP's one by one without timelines. Plus I did not start my year with a 'WOW DP' because to many WIPS make me nervous and I have already 3 going on.... the one to really work on, one large to work on once in a while and a third one which I rescued from a friend... she realized she does not like squares and gave it to me... but well... going with a positive mind and hopefully mental strength into 2025... and checking in with you as my inspiration and accountability mentor once a month on the stash count sundays video. Wish me luck and thanks for your videos.
Hi Claudia - I think that going forward you've definitely got some good plans in place already. Alternating between hobbies sounds like a great idea. Also, no timelines of events really helps taking away pressure I think. You got this and I'll cheer you on along the way.
I enjoyed this series, thank you! Still thinking how I will set mine up but I did inventory my stash for the end of the year, including all the smaller projects.
I did enjoy how you broke it down. I was unsure at first. By the second tutorial I was hooked and I learned a lot about my hobby addiction I mean 😂 passion for collecting special drills ❤✨✨✨! I encourage everyone to watch the whole series and at least think about each step and ball park the past, then write down your 2025 goals 😊I most appreciated your time, work and generosity to be completely honest. Thank you. Congratulations as I see you are about to achieve 6,000 subscribers
You inspired me to take an inventory of my stash. My goal for this year is to work on and enjoy what I have. I don't need a budget because I won't be buying anything other than putty.🙂
Ton organisation me plaît beaucoup.
I’m not organized enough to do the full roadmap, plus I really haven’t found my “style” to plan events yet. That said, I’m definitely onboard for the budget, finishes and stash parts. My stash goal at this time is 6-8 (small amount of storage space) unfortunately I currently have 17. Loved the series!
Yes, that's the whole idea about this series. You don't need to follow it to a T, but just pick some things that suit you. Thanks for sharing your take on it.
Thanks for the different trackers. I want to write down all the expenses on my hobby for this year even if I'm afraid that it is going to be more than I expect.
I really liked the planning of my kits because I have found that I have enough kits for the year and maybe just save for Black Friday. Plus that gives me wiggle room if I finish kits early and I want to buy a new one I can
I like this idea and have enjoyed this series Lisette ❤ As an accountant, these all really make sense to me and seem like a fun (and necessary) way to track expenses, stash count, finishes, etc. I got into diamond painting a few years back, but I really found the community, quality companies, learned about licensing, etc. this year. So, the journey really took off in 2024. My passion for art has grown, but so has my spending and my stash. So, I am going to set up a plan and follow along with you ❤ I definitely need accountability! The biggest issue I have is that I get so excited and ambitious about new ideas, projects, and artists... and that makes me want to jump right in and buy, buy, buy. I tend to buy art that speaks to me or is meaningful in some way, so there's an emotional connection also. Thank you for sharing your roadmap!!
My favorite tip was planning out the year in my bullet journal. I have already made the decision to not purchase any more this year. I planned events out based with what I have and have already ordered. I just don’t really know what to do with older kits. Maybe explore destash?
I am not sure the right word is 'enjoy.' :), maybe a necessary thing, but I am doing the stash count at 20 paintings. I am at 19 right now. And cutting my spending amount in half or less from last year. Also wanted it detailed by pictures, accessories, postage. I have all my stuff on Excel, so just going to do a more detailed one for the budget part. I was going to de-stash a few, but just can't let go of any that I have right now.
Oh I'm so sorry to disappoint, but I don't hang my diamond paintings in my home. I just store them back in the boxes and in some folders. At the moment I'm actually getting rid of some, but I must be honest - I have trouble letting go of them even though I don't do anything with them. I'm running out of storage room though...so now they feel like clutter.
I already keep track of my stash with detailed excel spreadsheets so I'll keep doing that. I would probably lose a journal. Looking forward to stash count Sundays! 😊
Thanks so much for letting me know and yes, if you have a system that works - definitely keep doing that.
I loved and enjoyed the series! Great word of the year!🥰🤗❤️
Thank you
Loved this series! The tip that had the most impact on me was the monthly planning of kits and events.
Thanks so much for letting me know. I really appreciate that.
Excellent Lisette love how you created your journal very inspiring . See what i can create
Your hand writing is beautiful so neat 😍 thank you for the encouragement .

Thanks so much - that's so sweet of you. I've never considered that my hand writing is neat. I do now though
This series is amazing! Thank you so much for taking the time to create these and take us step by step through your process. It has given me a lot to think about and I will be adopting a lot of your tips and tricks - especially creating a budget, shopping my stash and setting boundaries for myself.

The video series have been very helpful. Not only for DP but for some of my other projects.😊
Thanks so much
This has been a fantastic and practical series - thank you!
Thanks so much. I really appreciate that.
A fantastic idea , this road map 🤩
Thanks dear Sonja

Hi Desi - oh leuk.
I am not sure the right word is 'enjoy.' :), maybe a necessary thing, but I am doing the stash count at 20 paintings. I am at 19 right now. Ha Ha - you're right 'enjoy' isn't the right word.
How do you store the ones you finish?
Oh I'm so sorry to disappoint, but I don't hang my diamond paintings in my home. I just store them back in the boxes and in some folders. At the moment I'm actually getting rid of some, but I must be honest - I have trouble letting go of them even though I don't do anything with them. I'm running out of storage room though...so now they feel like clutter.
