    So glad we found this video with a month to go and no experience whatsoever. We are both super awkward when it comes to dancing. The tips videos are very useful as well. Would it be ok to do the first cut (fade out) for the duet version with Beyoncé?

    • @jcdanceco
      @jcdanceco  2 года назад

      For sure! The duet version with Beyonce is also 4 min 20 sec, so you definitely want to shorten it. Doing the fade out is the easiest no-nonsense way to go! :)

      # 1 :) I feel like the dip fits the musicality really well on ”tonight”.

      Hi Britany, thanks for reaching out. Our philosophy for helping beginner dancers is to teach them skills on how to dance together confidently, without having to memorize routines. Keep in mind that only a handful of figures are needed to dance a full song, in and easy yet interesting way for both you and your wedding guests.
      Here's a video link to why we don't suggest learning routines: ruclips.net/video/7Wc_pynfsmY/видео.html
      Here's a video link to an example of a full song, danced with just a handful of dance steps: ruclips.net/video/at3cHPfqr8U/видео.html

    • @jcdanceco
      @jcdanceco  3 года назад

      Great song! Love Meghan Trainer. ❤️ Our approach is not to teach choreography, but rather to teach dance skills that can be used to virtually any song. Just take out a verse or chorus (or fade) to get the song down to 2.5-3 minutes max. If you want a step-by-step program that teaches you dance skills that you can use for your wedding and beyond, check out our FREE MASTERCLASS (in the description).

    I see a lot of tutorials on this song! It’s a great one!
    Just wondering how you would approach “Kiss me” by Ed sheeran? My fiancé and I are trying to do a no choreography approach so it looks natural but we have no idea how to dance to that in a way that looks natural/ effortless

    • @jcdanceco
      @jcdanceco  Год назад

      Our approach to "Kiss Me" would essentially be the same. Pick a really simple HomeBase pattern and then do a few spins and twirls as the music picks up. Remember to cut the song, as it's over 4 minutes, which is way too long!
      If you need more help, we do offer an online course that goes step-by-step through all the essential dance skills you need to move naturally and effortlessly together. ❤️

      The different versions of this song are very similar, because the structure of the songs are almost identical. Listen for the major changes within this song and learn how to recognize them in your song (and any song for that matter). Be patient with yourself and you'll get it! If you'd like personalized coaching, check out how to connect directly with us in the description of the video. Thanks!

      @jcdanceco  3 года назад

      Wow! What a lovely song. Love the lyrics! ❤️
      On this channel, our approach is CONNECTION over CHOREOGRAPHY. In other words, we teach dance skills, rather than complex choreography that is memorized and ends up looking unnatural. Once you know how to connect with each other and dance a handful of figures, you can have a lot of fun putting them together in different ways, and can in fact dance to ANY song, not only your wedding song. Try this video that introduces one of our most ESSENTIAL dance skills, and see how it goes! bit.ly/3iP1LhM
