- The Dominator 3 intercepts over a dozen tornadoes with two direct #tornado intercepts during a historic tornado outbreak across Nebraska and Iowa. Incredibly, there has been no loss of life reported despite numerous long-track, powerful tornadoes. This footage shows rare views inside the core flow of a tornado during peak tornado intercept mode. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by these storms. Another tornado outbreak is in store for parts of Oklahoma and Kansas today!

@@MoparMan-ff8fb He wasn’t inside the condensation funnel but he was well within the debris field and experienced RFD and what looked like the rear inflow jet which is included in a tornadoes damage path because *IT IS* part of the tornado.

My hobby love of meteorological research and extreme weather always gets me so excited during these chases and I run around with my iPad showing my kids and husband. It’s so incredibly powerful and exciting to experience this even on a secondhand level. And then to analyze and interpret the data they gain afterwards has to be just as exciting. It’s really rewarding for someone like me (whose career is nothing close to science or weather!) to be able to be a part of this for a short time, so thank you for bringing us along!

My grandfather always regretted not becoming a meteorologist, that hobby was passed to my mother and now to me. Mom and I remember seeing Reed's first tornado clips eons ago...good to know I'm not the only one running around their house showing the stream or sharing on Facebook! 😆 My grandfather has already passed, but he would have LOVED being able to see footage and then breakdowns of each afterwards. What a dream it would be to chase with Reed one day!

Imagine telling Reed Timmer, one of the MOST experienced and successful storm chasers out there, what to do. The man knows more than most what is and isn't safe. I would trust Reed more than anyone with my life in a situation like this. He's been in MUCH crazier scenarios than that.

I want to pause to acknowledge the large group of fellers all crammed into a vehicle, probably a bit tired, uncomfortable, all recording chaos simultaneously with cameras between each other's heads, hanging out of the windows, to make sure to bring this kind of quality footage to the world. There was a moment 10 seconds in, where I was compelled to paint a group portrait, and I might just do it. lol I was a middle school kid in the 90's when my dad managed to get me chaser compilation video on VHS, and I was hooked! :D Seeing this stuff in hi-def now, must be mind blowing for young kids! I pray you guys stay safe, and thank you for the gritty, hard work! When you love what you do, you do not work a day in your life!

Reed "scream the extreme" Timmer. Honestly this video reminded me of some satire comedy sketch, what with the over the top excitement, powerflashes, unexpected vegetation to the face, a twig breaking (tree down right infront of us!), and then powersliding into the outer circulation just in time to avoid hitting a tree across the road(tree down right infront of us?). FYI: Dr. Reed Timmer has been chasing tornadoes for over 2 decades & is one of the first to do storm chasing - before it became popular (especially how popular it is nowadays!!), & he actually has a doctorate in weather w/ his focus being on tornadoes, & he is in a vehicle made/built specifically for going _safely_ into tornadoes (hard to believe, but, true!!) & it is equipped with special tools that collect specific scientific data which is then used as a means to help better understand tornadoes & their behavior - he’s actually doing research!!!…. He’s truly the absolute best at what he does with his amount of experience _and_ level of expertise!!!! He’s not just another crazy storm chaser who does it bc they’re addicted to the adrenaline rush/are thrill seekers (which maaany storm chasers indeed do it for that reason & w/o the proper knowledge needed to help keep themselves safe)!! - But, for Reed, storm chasing is literally his career (not just a hobby as it is for most who do it) & it’s his true passion in life!!!!
I’ve been watching Reed since I was 11… I’m 27 now and still dream of chasing tornados one day in the dominator. Reed’s energy has not changed a bit! Incredible video!!!!
