the cube for all of you wondering is known as a texture cube its used by developers to place a certain texture across a area of the game so the engine knows what texture to reference for the large surface area thus why its a dirt coloured texture similar to the floor of mount chiliad, its just the basic texture map that's been placed their by developers for the game engine, that's why you can only get to it by glitching it as your not really suppose to see or know about them only the game engine, so not really an easter egg just a developer leaving something for the game engine to find. the more you know lol
it could well be the higgs boson of gta creating all Easter eggs and mystery's for us all to solve or ponder over.
But why is it on next gen only?

People should realize that those eastter eggs are just eastter eggs. On San Andreas the fans made a lot of myths and now on GTA V Rockstar brought those myths to life: Bigfoot, The Serial Killer (Leather Face), The Ghost of a murdered woman (ghost of CJ mom), UFOs, Aliens. There's nothing more to it, it's just a huge joke.

I don't think the 'Happy Birthday Roman' update confirms the revenge ending as canon. It could just as well be Niko honoring Roman on his birthday. Furthermore Mallorie, little Jacob and some other people liked the update, wouldn't it make more sense if Roman liked the update? it's also kind of over the top that a happy birthday update generates that amount of likes, unless it is considered an honor to a deceased family member. Nevertheless, Rockstar has already stated that the ending of GTA IV is completely up to the player.

Pope Fiction again, it could be to honor his memory (wether Niko added Roman on lifeinvader and later kept him as a friend after Roman's death or simply just set him as family member on his profile after the events of gta iv) but it's unclear, since we don't know when lifeinvader was founded, and it didn't appear in gta iv

I really wish those UFOs weren't just there for show. I really hope Rockstar makes some kind of DLC with a really good main questline just like they did for RDR (Undead Nightmare), and they did a really good job that time so i'd be happy to pay for a good quality DLC, at this point i trust Rockstar. I'd love a Zombies or Aliens DLC for GTAV (as long as it is for all platforms)!
I would hate Aliens, aliens would make it turn out like Saints Row which is shit. Zombies would work well as it's a modern setting and there's already the Hollywood Zombie standing around.
RoyalGaming I agree with the Saints Row thing, although i was mostly thinking about all the San Andreas Aliens theories, i'd like a DLC that would be kind of a callback to all those theories/mods and makes them come true or something like that.
Well there's a Alien HUD in the game files. and there bits and pieces of jetpack code. And the mural match's up to the glyph locations on chiliad. Theirs something coming.

The beam me up ufo is extremely significant because it is the only one that actually opens up and by watching where every1 places the mural ( Altruist Camp having the jetpack etc. ) I think it's highly possible that it is involved with the mr chiliad mystery . Another fact I would like to point out is that the observatory matches up with the mural aswell

It's really simple. Back in the old gta games era there were lots of theories and creepypasta bullshit stories how there are ghosts, aliens, bigfoots and other monsters in the games at certain locations at a random time etc while there in fact weren't. So rockstar decided to just gather all that internet fantasies and slap it into the last gta which happens to be gta5. Now will that be material for a dlc that I don't know but I wouldn't be surprised if it happens. They have the money and other resources to do it so it's 90% possible that we will see these in extra missions.
DjGodaryD86 aliens weren't a myth from San Andreas, UFO's were because of the floating lights. Bigfoot was a myth because people said there were pictures in CJ's house of it, in reality someone made a mod showing what supposedly was "bigfoot" it became a big thing and they -put it in Red Dead as a reference. GTA V is not the last GTA so i don't even know why you said that.
RoyalGaming As a "last" I meant as a current/recent GTA which is GTAV. I wrote fast so made some typos and sentence structure makes things a bit confusing I admit but you got the point out of it in the end. :) In SA there were photos of ufos and similar things in random offices but there are no physical appearances of such things in the game not even in the desert military base. First time I played it I thought there will be some hidden ufo or similar thing but it contained no such things just the jetpack. The rest is all fake as you mentioned it people made mods and tried to convince it's actually from the base game, but it isn't.

Interesting face: the zancudo ufo cockpit is also on the hydra battleship for the humane labs heist setup where you get the emp from the stolen hydra. When you are at the door to go on the landing zone you will see it on the floor.

***** An Easter Egg is either an inside joke or a physical reference inside of a game. It's not joking at references to it. The fact they reference it in any way shows they at least plan to have it in the game or already do and no one has found it.

Now as for that second one, I know what you're gonna say, "That sounds retarded", or "Try Saints Row 4, oh yeah and that sounds retarded", hear me out first. It could be like a search for more clues. Michael, Franklin and Trevor having some sort of premonition and having to run around Los Santos and Blaine County trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Aka, more of a suspenseful, story-driven DLC rather than a guns-blazing Saints Row clusterfuck, am I making any sense here?
The problem that I personally have with this is that they are *criminals*. It would, in my eyes at least, give a random sense of 'lol we're adventure-esque guys and we're going to go investigate shit instead of doing crime.' It would be like having a game where you investigate paranormal cases of, well, paranormal creatures but you're a mass-murderer. How would that fit? Where would the mass-murderer find time to investigate paranormal cases at all? If they made it work via some kind of heist mission where they get mixed up and they don't go looking for some random alien conspiracy. (although the thought of the easter eggs being real and having dialogue / cutscenes for them is some I like to fantasize about a lot in games with interesting easter eggs)
UndeadCookieMonster Well it's kind of the same thing as Michael's "murder mystery" in next gen. That doesn't need to be there if we're going by that logic, I just see it as a video game, I mean I don't care if it seems out of character for them to do something crazy in non-canon DLC

It can be logical maybe like they are working with the FIB for a last job which would undertake them to some weird heist to steal an secret document of UFO and Alien from Fort Zancudo and from that point is where they keep on searching for the real answer and help the FIB because that's how the FIB will want to clear their name from government criminal list so they can be a free man forever.And this Project heist is they key to their freedom of living,they can take it or not.As if they don't,a hunt will begin for them

You know, these cubes are oftenly used as some sort of container for a texture which is going to be used somewhere else.
Remember Packy from GTA IV? He had a small cube with a gray brain texture inside his head. It was the texture used on his balaclava if I'm not mistaken.

The cube is inside building, it's not meant to be seen, it's a random entity that is probably what cause the building to render
that cube at the beginning of the video is a texture sample

The jetpack is either something to do with the cube in a future update or the beam in Fort Zancudo is just like a Cod Zombies beam that directs you to the box, it straight up directs you to the elevator room..
Love Me A Bucket Of KFC Modders have proven that on 360 and PS3 at least, that no Jetpack exists, though there were a couple of strings or something related to jetpacks in an update. 1.13 or something I think was the update. Nothing since then.
If you match the map seen on top of Mount Chili with the actual map of the game, you'll see, that the boxes on the drawing match actual locations of the UFOs above the map. On the left side, a little down is a road which ends next to the train line, if you go there, there's a little tunnel, where you can look into, but not walk to.
If you glitch into the map, then the tunnel is non-solid, but there are drawings on either ends of the walls in the floating texture. One being the cracked egg shape and then other the jetpack shape.

RoyalGaming Obviously you haven't seen posts from multiple modders on multiple forums who have confirmed there is NO jetpack in the game as of yet. There are a couple strings related to them added in an update on the last gen consoles (1.13 i believe was the update), but those got taken out a couple updates later. You'd need to search on Se7ensins and GTAForums for the posts as this was months ago, but they are there.
