Great job, Elin. Sounds solid and smooth and shifts nicely.
For the sake of the synchro rings it's really not a good idea to keep your hand on the shift knob.

Very interesting. It is tough to see how much the revs drop when in 4th with the OD. Generally in top gear British tachs and speedo are parallel. I can’t see their relative position in this video. Great job.

Elin, congratulations on another job well done!
What's your thought on resting your hand on the shifter in regard to possible excessive wear on the shifter parts? MANY years ago, when I replaced my '67 GT6 4 speed with a used overdrive transmission, the 'new' transmission did not come with the shift stick that had the overdrive switch in the knob. Being too cheap to buy a column mounted switch, I just bought a standard floor mounted 'high beam' switch to activate the overdrive unit. I just did not have any light indicator showing when it was engaged....

Did he get rid of the radio tower? I imagine the dash shakes quite a lot, that part is an important structural component.

Curious why you would use a non EP oil when EP 90 is factory spec and OD is fine with the EP oil, will that not affect the life of the gear box ??

There was an article by John Esposito (Quantum Mechanics LTD.) about the overdrive oil. He recommends the nondetergent and he was going on and on in that article explaining why. Unfortunately I can't find the article anymore and I am not really familiar with what the difference is. I just trust John, as his reputation is great. Also the recommended oil (not just the overdrive) by the factory is based on the oils made in the 60es. There are many things in the manuals from that time that don't make sense anymore based on the newer technology we have today.
