And this was discovered after the brief introduction of your video, to be so very true of the circumstances that cost us hundreds of dollars in towing bills and the replacement of a starter. After which the vehicle still did not start the very next morning. My friend had 2 type of keys to his van and had declared it would not make a difference. He pondered the events yesterday in which the mechanic started the van right up and it kept running for my friend through many errands yesterday only to not do so this morning. He realized that he had given the mechanic the other key. I told him to go out and use that key NOW, he did and lo and behold, the van started and remained running and off to his errands he is with a big smile and huge relief on his face! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you sir. You saved me a world of trouble trying to figure this out. Just bought a used 05 T&C and I’ve kept the spare key in my pocket while I clean it up and get it ready for the family. My wife has the “real” key in her purse. It makes all the difference which one you use.

@@swilson6206 my van down for 3 months dodge dealer could not fix it. only thing i needed clear the skim from the computer then unplug the skim module - started right up
this video helpped me out alot thanks, just tested if it was my key slowly breaking by removing the guts to see, did the exact symptom i was having everytime. so thanks for showing me. we'll see if it was actually the key in a couple days after ive used a new key for a bit.
Throw the old key away. Someone got a new key and didn't want to pay $200 to program the new fob so they put the guts from the old fob into the new one. That old key is junk now.
@@swilson6206 so how did you fix it did you get the key programmed in haveing the same deal but the thing is I have a extra key but it’s not cut or programmed for this car and the car won’t stay running

I have a key for my car. Not a key fob & it kills after a few minutes. I’m not sure why. It opens all the doors including the back. It opens the lock box under the seat but the car kills 5 seconds after starting. I’m not sure why.
It may be the same as in the video. If the key doesn't have the electronic mechanism inside, then the car computer doesn't recognize it and shuts the car off. If you have the electronic key, try that.
There is a computer chip that looks like a pill in car keys. See this guys extra key was empty, no computer chip. The reason this guys vans even starts is because the van is reading the other chip.

I had another key that was already programmed. I suggest you check a car parts store, or see this link - carkeysexpress.com/store

It means it's missing a battery...
Yes, it could be needing a battery. Our key was missing the electronic control board inside the key.
Chrysler cars over engined an just plain F..up.. all have a hidden puzzle just keep in running. Some keys work .. batterie installed under fenders
