I absolutely adore the Channel Islands, I grew up seeing them frequently as a Cali girl and even visited one of them as a school field trip in 5th grade. I share the sentiment of the man who said in this vid how he’s reluctant shedding light on them because the tourism they have now is more than enough. “If you love the Channel Islands, stay away.” Hear, hear. Beautiful. I miss home.

Coming to you from Canada, but I was born in Oxnard, CA which has its own distinct view of the Channel Islands, and I am so, so grateful, especially now being so far removed from this beautiful place, to be able to say I am one who has stepped foot upon those shores. I even remember writing a short story based on my experience there for one of my college literature courses. In any event, it was such a delight to have this to watch, thank you!
