Favorite iPhone was iPhone 8 Plus. But I wanted better battery life so upgrade to 11 pro max and it killed it in battery department. I miss Touch ID on my 8 plus especially with these times of Covid 19 (masks aren’t going anywhere soon). If they could do a in display Touch ID with the iPhone 11 Pro Max battery life or better, it be the perfect phone for me

5g still not relevent until next 2 years. Their infra not many yet. Also 5G real speed is 1gb/s. Even my 4G speed is 200mb/s since Im telecommunication engineer, my speed not been cap. You guys all as users been cap the speed by telco, to ensure no congested occur, less need of them to upgrade capacity in sites, and less money out top. Therefore, unless you 1gb/s, you are not in real 5G speed. It only show 5G to win your heart like you have fast internet..... but in reality... you will forever in 4G speed (user capped 100mb/s).
Your recommendation videos are always spot on, if you have the 11 Pro there’s no real reason to upgrade unless you want to. If you are upgrading the extra $100 is absolutely worth it for the 12 Pro. Since my phones live in Otterbox Symmetry cases they all look and feel basically the same.
Will be upgrading to ip12pro (from 11p) mainly because of the ability to shoot hdr dolby vision for video. Wait till every videocentric app catches on hdr technology. Hdr is usually reserved for expensive monitors and tvs but since apple is pushing for this tech to the mass, the market will follow and pricing will leverage.
I might get the 12 promax or 12 pro because I have an iPhone 8 and it’s starting to lag but thank you for saying it’s such a great phone because maybe I’ll get the iPhone 11 pro

From a iPhone X, I upgraded to a iPhone 11 pro. I'm pleased. Very pleased. And the cameras on this thing is absolutely Immaculate. And I love my midnite green.
I tested an iPhone 12 mini (qualcomm) and an iPhone se2020 (intel) both on 4g ATT prepaid in my area, and the qualcomm was about 10-15% better on 4g. Both seemed to have similar range as I would get dead spots in about the same areas. I don't think the intels in the 11/se2020 are as bad as people make them out to be.
Recently I have been in situation when my old iphone 8 died. It came to the moment where I had to decide between 12 and 11 Pro as both are in same price now. I decided for 12. Iphone came to me on the next day. My first feeling was a wow effect, how the phone looks (black option) but when I turned it on and took it to my hand, I realized that after 8, this mobile is not lying in the hand well, it is too big, and does not have this "premium" feeling holding it in the hand (mainly because of weight and aluminum body). It was not possible to operate it by one hand..I decided to return it to the shop and change it to Iphone 11 Pro, that was week ago and I strongly recommend this phone over ordinary 12. Size is just perfect, camera does not showing any bigger difference than the one in 12, phone looks amazing (space grey option) with mat back finish - no fingerprints at all!, 3rd camera is only bonus in that case for better portrait shoots. For me main benefit is how the mobile lies in the hand..just perfectly!. 12 is in theory slimmer but in reality it is looking much fatter. As an outcome from someone who tested both phones I recommend 11 Pro over 12 for people who appreciate more compact size and "premium" feeling !
12 pro. Bigger screen makes it worth it. You’ll get tired of the small form factor if you like the bigger phone format. I upgraded from a xr to an 11 pro and didn’t like how small it was. Traded it in and paid that little extra for the 12 pro and so much happier with it. Plus it’s faster better cameras longer support etc, but theyre not particularly worth the extra money. It’s the design and size. Now if you got an 11 pro MAX, that might be a good buy...

ive upgraded from 6s to iphone 11 pro. the battery life is really really good, im so impressed with it. and there is no much difference from iphone 12 pro in terms of speed and camera though. even the battery is better
Even if there's no 5G in your area yet, the LTE speeds on the 12 Pro is fast compared to the LTE on my XS Max which is one reason I don't regret upgrading.

One huge reason to get the 12 pro. The extra ram. It makes a huge difference to user experience. I got fed up of my 11 pro max reloading apps. The 12 pro keeps the apps open in the memory so much better.

You didn’t make a bad decision. I upgraded from an 11 Pro Max to a 12 Pro Max. One thing that I do love is the ram is definitely improved! I can have several apps open and they don’t reload when I go back. I’m fortunate enough to be able to upgrade yearly so I can’t wait until next year when they finally have 120HZ refresh. Holding on to the 11 Pro Max was probably smart and you will have some great features to upgrade to next year.
I went from 11 Pro to 12. I hadn’t found the 11’s telephoto camera useful and was attracted by the lighter weight and flat sides of the 12. I also got a great trade in price for the 11 Pro. Loving the 12, no regrets.
Pretty good, apple can do battery performance with update dont worry :) but if somebody tell u that 11pro is better, he have probably made contract with provider for 2-3 years and cannot get a new phone. Simple as that!
Just ordered the 11 pro midnight green 512gb coming from an 8 plus 64gb. I think it’ll be a good investment. I plan on keeping it till the 13 or 14 comes out.

The video of walking through the forest was very interesting it made it look like the 12 Pro had a massive advantage in color depth but im not sure if that was just me.
I bought a launch day 12 Pro, but returned it as it had a nasty yellow cast/tint on the display. Went to 2 different Apple Stores and all display units were the same or worse, therefore it did not make sense to even try an exchange. The yellow tint was also impacting the contrast, making it noticeably worse than prior year OLED iPhones. I ended up buying a mint condition 256GB 11 Pro for $670 that has a perfect crispy white screen. Zero regrets and I don't miss absolutely anything from the 12 Pro.
I thought I'd read that the iPhone 11 had improved battery life over it's predecessor. I like everything about my 11 Pro but the battery life is no better, perhaps even worse, than the XR that I had previously. Maybe my battery is old? (I bought a refurbished 11 pro). Any comments from other11 Pro users?
Thank you for great content and information! I purchased the iPhone 8 Plus in December 2019, as my introduction into the Apple environment and had no plans to upgrade. However, upon the advice my “techie” wife, I upgraded to the 12 Pro over the 11 Pro. I wanted the smaller 11 Pro, but as you and my wife both referenced, the 12 has more ram, is ready for the expansion of technology, and will be supported longer. To date, I am happy with the advice, as well as my purchase! Thank you Aaron!
My 11 Pro was at 96% battery health (using it since 1 year), everything was good and honestly there wasn’t much reason for me to upgrade to the 12 pro. But boy am I happy that i did! Everything seems a bit snappier and importantly, apps don’t keep refreshing! The 11 Pro is an excellent phone still , but in case you do plan to upgrade to the 12 pro you won’t be disappointed...
It's still a great phone and there's no reason to "upgrade" this year. Prefer slightly smaller display and battery life, won't replace until display is 120hz and/or notch is removed. 5G not a factor at the moment for me.
I have 12 Pro and love it. I’ve had it with 4G for a long time, and when 5G came out and I had that, wow my batterytime was so quicker used with 5G.. I noticed a big change in how long my phone would last.. So I stopped using 5G

I had the 6s and opted for the 11 pro in gold just last month. But the night mode on the 12 pro is an amazing feature and although the midnight green color is beautiful, u can always put a mightnight green case on ur phone. The night mode is better in my opinion so I would suggest the 12 pro. Kinda wish I did my research properly before choosing but The 11 pro is beyond beautiful look-wise in my opinion

Need an advice, if you can. I have the habit of never buying the latest iPhone. I tend to buy a few versions behind. If I can find them new, good. Otherwise I get them certified refurbished by Amazon, Giffgaff (UK company), or some other big name. I am currently trying to choose between an 11 Pro 256GB and 12 Pro 128 GB. Very similar prices (12 pro is around 70 bucks dearer). I don't care about 5G (even now that is 2023). What I like from the 12 pro is the camera more night ready, the ceramic-shield screen, and the overall design of the phone. The 11 pro however comes really close overall in terms of specs and capabilities, but has double the storage, which these days with all these hi-res videos you take of your kids, does come in handy. I also prefer the slightly smaller size of the 11 over the 12, but I am bugged by the fact that the 12 pro is going to have, by definition, a longer life (in terms of running future iOS versions nicely), because of the updated specs. Thoughts?
I felt intimidated by the 12 pro this year 😂 but after seeing this review I’ll stick to my 11 pro for now and wait to see what apple offers for 13 pro next year.

Hello, Aaron! My iPhone 11 pro’s screen has low brightness sometimes when I am unlocking and will only fix if I lock it and unlock it again. Turning off truetone seems to fix it as well. This happened when I updated to iOS14.2. Would there be a fix for this? Thanks so much!
2 years later and still relevant, well done. Upgrading from XS to 11Pro hopefully and will give back my 13pro which I haven't even used as I don't like the look and feel.

I originally wanted the 11 pro but I got a great deal on the 12 pro and decided to go for it - kind of regretting it as I don’t think i’ll use any of the new features and had my heart set on the 11 pro but only time will tell when the new phone arrives today!
iphone 12 Pro is the best phone to buy considering the design and options. There was a gap between the SE and 12 Pro. Adding the beautiful design of the SE to the tech of the 12 Pro was wise and smart. It IS worth upgrading. The 12 Pro is the way to go, and there will be no need to upgrade unless Apple changes the design completely like replacing the cameras with 1 BIG camera at the back and/or keeping the front screen full. Best colour is the graphite: Class! Will look elegant with any colour case!

I currently have a XS, 256 gb. Running just great. But I don’t have an ultra wide camera with this phone, and It seems to me Iphone 11 pro it has better skin color on the pictures, plus, ultra wide cam and the phones size is bit more compact than the 12 pro. Not saying the 11 pro 256 gb is about 400 dollars cheaper now when refurbished. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work. Ill be getting the 11 pro 256 gb on space gray. Thank you for the informative review. Seeing you asked: Yesterday I picked up a 12 Pro Max in Graphite. Along with the phone I bought the new USB C 20W charger, the wireless charging gizmo and a black silicone case. All this cost $2,113 Australian (yeah we pay more than you in the US and suffer Apple supply delays too). This is my first phone purchase since October 2013-it replaces my trusty iPhone 5S! Interestingly, even though we pay a small fortune for these devices, the Apple shop DOUBLE-CHARGED me.... they picked this up several hours later and called me. I’m just about to check and see if the money has been refunded.
I’m still using iPhone 7 rn and planning buying new one this year. The only thing that bother me on iPhone 12 is the battery, I mean we iPhone user always have that battery life problem right? That extra 1h, is it worth to sacrifice?
Just upgraded from an 8 Plus to the 11 Pro - size difference is interesting but the screen and cameras are great and worth it. Might consider upgrading to the 12 Pro or 13 Pro next Autumn (2022) but for now i'm more than happy with the 11 Pro.

I just upgraded from my iPhone X to an iPhone 12 Pro as my battery was pretty much shot. I complete regret not getting the iPhone 11 Pro before it was discontinued. When you put the two phones next to each other the iPhone 12 Pro looks old, big and clunky when the iphone 10,11 look much more modern and much skinnier. I’m not sure why nobody making these videos points out the obvious Difference between these phones. the iphone 10,11 is so much skinner. I’m now looking to trade down but the iphone 11 pros are hard to find

The most notable difference in the cameras was the impressive night photo on the 12 pro. Otherwise, very similar on most things as the 11Pro.

Even if there's no 5G in your area yet, the LTE speeds on the 12 Pro is fast compared to the LTE on my XS Max which is one reason I don't regret upgrading.

5g still not relevent until next 2-3years. Their infra not worth by a lot telcos for now. Also 5G real speed is 1gb/s, therefore dont be so proud whem you get near 100mb/s in 5G lol. Even my 4G speed is 200mb/s since Im telecommunication engineer, my speed not been cap by company. Every place will have different speed, based on capacity, layers and bandwidth installed in that particular area. Every place planned by telco are different. You guys all as users been cap the speed by telco, to ensure no congested occur, less need of them to upgrade capacity in sites, and less money out top. Therefore, unless you 1gb/s, you are not in real 5G speed. It only show 5G to win your heart like you have fast internet..... but in reality... you will forever in 4G speed (user capped 100mb/s).

One huge reason to get the 12 pro. The extra ram. It makes a huge difference to user experience. I got fed up of my 11 pro max reloading apps. The 12 pro keeps the apps open in the memory so much better.

You didn’t make a bad decision. I upgraded from an 11 Pro Max to a 12 Pro Max. One thing that I do love is the ram is definitely improved! I can have several apps open and they don’t reload when I go back. I’m fortunate enough to be able to upgrade yearly so I can’t wait until next year when they finally have 120HZ refresh. Holding on to the 11 Pro Max was probably smart and you will have some great features to upgrade to next year.

I went from 11 Pro to 12. I hadn’t found the 11’s telephoto camera useful and was attracted by the lighter weight and flat sides of the 12. I also got a great trade in price for the 11 Pro. Loving the 12, no regrets.

Pretty good, apple can do battery performance with update dont worry :) but if somebody tell u that 11pro is better, he have probably made contract with provider for 2-3 years and cannot get a new phone. Simple as that!

Just ordered the 11 pro midnight green 512gb coming from an 8 plus 64gb. I think it’ll be a good investment. I plan on keeping it till the 13 or 14 comes out.

The video of walking through the forest was very interesting it made it look like the 12 Pro had a massive advantage in color depth but im not sure if that was just me.
i got the 12 pro but idk if it’s worth downgrading for the 11 pro, the 11 pro looks comfortable on the hand with its small screen & height.
I bought a launch day 12 Pro, but returned it as it had a nasty yellow cast/tint on the display. Went to 2 different Apple Stores and all display units were the same or worse, therefore it did not make sense to even try an exchange. The yellow tint was also impacting the contrast, making it noticeably worse than prior year OLED iPhones.
I ended up buying a mint condition 256GB 11 Pro for $670 that has a perfect crispy white screen. Zero regrets and I don't miss absolutely anything from the 12 Pro.
I thought I'd read that the iPhone 11 had improved battery life over it's predecessor. I like everything about my 11 Pro but the battery life is no better, perhaps even worse, than the XR that I had previously. Maybe my battery is old? (I bought a refurbished 11 pro). Any comments from other11 Pro users?

Thank you for great content and information! I purchased the iPhone 8 Plus in December 2019, as my introduction into the Apple environment and had no plans to upgrade. However, upon the advice my “techie” wife, I upgraded to the 12 Pro over the 11 Pro. I wanted the smaller 11 Pro, but as you and my wife both referenced, the 12 has more ram, is ready for the expansion of technology, and will be supported longer. To date, I am happy with the advice, as well as my purchase! Thank you Aaron!
My 11 Pro was at 96% battery health (using it since 1 year), everything was good and honestly there wasn’t much reason for me to upgrade to the 12 pro. But boy am I happy that i did! Everything seems a bit snappier and importantly, apps don’t keep refreshing! The 11 Pro is an excellent phone still , but in case you do plan to upgrade to the 12 pro you won’t be disappointed...

It's still a great phone and there's no reason to "upgrade" this year. Prefer slightly smaller display and battery life, won't replace until display is 120hz and/or notch is removed. 5G not a factor at the moment for me.

I have 12 Pro and love it. I’ve had it with 4G for a long time, and when 5G came out and I had that, wow my batterytime was so quicker used with 5G.. I noticed a big change in how long my phone would last.. So I stopped using 5G

I had the 6s and opted for the 11 pro in gold just last month. But the night mode on the 12 pro is an amazing feature and although the midnight green color is beautiful, u can always put a mightnight green case on ur phone. The night mode is better in my opinion so I would suggest the 12 pro. Kinda wish I did my research properly before choosing but The 11 pro is beyond beautiful look-wise in my opinion

I think you did well by choosing 11. There’s almost no difference between 11 and 12.
The night mode is better but 11 pro beats all 12 series when it comes to battery /price and as I said before there’s not much difference in the camera.

Need an advice, if you can.
I have the habit of never buying the latest iPhone. I tend to buy a few versions behind. If I can find them new, good. Otherwise I get them certified refurbished by Amazon, Giffgaff (UK company), or some other big name.
I am currently trying to choose between an 11 Pro 256GB and 12 Pro 128 GB. Very similar prices (12 pro is around 70 bucks dearer).
I don't care about 5G (even now that is 2023).
What I like from the 12 pro is the camera more night ready, the ceramic-shield screen, and the overall design of the phone.
The 11 pro however comes really close overall in terms of specs and capabilities, but has double the storage, which these days with all these hi-res videos you take of your kids, does come in handy.
I also prefer the slightly smaller size of the 11 over the 12, but I am bugged by the fact that the 12 pro is going to have, by definition, a longer life (in terms of running future iOS versions nicely), because of the updated specs.

Hello, Aaron! My iPhone 11 pro’s screen has low brightness sometimes when I am unlocking and will only fix if I lock it and unlock it again. Turning off truetone seems to fix it as well. This happened when I updated to iOS14.2. Would there be a fix for this? Thanks so much!

i picked up a used iphone 11 pro 256gb with 91% battery health for $650 a few days ago to replace my iphone x.
I originally wanted the 11 pro but I got a great deal on the 12 pro and decided to go for it - kind of regretting it as I don’t think i’ll use any of the new features and had my heart set on the 11 pro but only time will tell when the new phone arrives today!

iphone 12 Pro is the best phone to buy considering the design and options. There was a gap between the SE and 12 Pro. Adding the beautiful design of the SE to the tech of the 12 Pro was wise and smart. It IS worth upgrading. The 12 Pro is the way to go, and there will be no need to upgrade unless Apple changes the design completely like replacing the cameras with 1 BIG camera at the back and/or keeping the front screen full. Best colour is the graphite: Class! Will look elegant with any colour case!

I currently have a XS, 256 gb. Running just great. But I don’t have an ultra wide camera with this phone, and It seems to me Iphone 11 pro it has better skin color on the pictures, plus, ultra wide cam and the phones size is bit more compact than the 12 pro. Not saying the 11 pro 256 gb is about 400 dollars cheaper now when refurbished. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work. Ill be getting the 11 pro 256 gb on space gray. And Speck presidio pro in black and Speck presidio stay clear. Best and good looking case covers!
Thank you for the informative review. Seeing you asked: Yesterday I picked up a 12 Pro Max in Graphite. Along with the phone I bought the new USB C 20W charger, the wireless charging gizmo and a black silicone case. All this cost $2,113 Australian (yeah we pay more than you in the US and suffer Apple supply delays too). This is my first phone purchase since October 2013-it replaces my trusty iPhone 5S! Interestingly, even though we pay a small fortune for these devices, the Apple shop DOUBLE-CHARGED me.... they picked this up several hours later and called me. I’m just about to check and see if the money has been refunded.

Just upgraded from an 8 Plus to the 11 Pro - size difference is interesting but the screen and cameras are great and worth it. Might consider upgrading to the 12 Pro or 13 Pro next Autumn (2022) but for now i'm more than happy with the 11 Pro.

I just upgraded from my iPhone X to an iPhone 12 Pro as my battery was pretty much shot. I complete regret not getting the iPhone 11 Pro before it was discontinued. When you put the two phones next to each other the iPhone 12 Pro looks old, big and clunky when the iphone 10,11 look much more modern and much skinnier. I’m not sure why nobody making these videos points out the obvious Difference between these phones. the iphone 10,11 is so much skinner. I’m now looking to trade down but the iphone 11 pros are hard to find
The 12 is actually thinner than the 11. The 12 is 7.4 mm while the 11 is 8.1 mm thick.
