I just got back from Beirut (stayed in Gemmayze next to Mar Mikhael). I've experienced nightlife all over the world and what I saw in Beirut was some of the best anywhere. I can only imagine the old days. The restaurants, cocktail culture, DJs, and overall vibe is awesome, and there are many Lebanese touches like shisha and free snacks while you drink. Everything from intimate lounges and dive bars to banging clubs. The atmosphere and staff are friendly and easy-going, people are not snobby or cold even at the nicest places. Expect to be bought drinks and offered smokes by locals. It was a refreshing scene compared to other famous cities where people have an attitude problem. The thing is Lebanon have the best night life amoung all Arab countries and amoung all the middle east: Reason? The high porcentage of christians(Lebanon was90% christians when he was made) &bcz of this drinks are allowed alcohol and so on and because Lebanese people love life ....
