Actually a solid film. I'd describe it as a contemporary remake of the 1985 film Commando. Classic 'save the girl by murdering everyone throughout the entire movie' trope. Julia Butters even looks a lot like a young Alyssa Milano.
As someone who read the novel, I was very disappointed that the film didn't have in it the most American sentence ever written in 21st century fiction: "Inside was a Barrett M107, a fifty-caliber rifle that fired shells half the size of beer bottles and dispatched the heavy bullets with a muzzle velocity of nearly nine football fields a second."
LOL hahahahahahahahahahaha bitter? What a D! your the only one who complains yet everyone appreciate the film. who are you? Pelosi? hahhahahahahahaahahahahahahah F D!
Sisyphus is punished in the underworld by the god Zeus, who forces him to roll a boulder up a hill for eternity. Every time he nears the top of the hill, the boulder rolls back down. This is who six sees himself as. It's like poetry it u know
As a generic big-budget action movie, I guess it was okay. I'm assuming that those who liked it have never read any of the books, though. The writers clearly didn't. Aside from the title and a few character names, it had almost nothing in common with the books.
Not enough of the gray. Some great callbacks, but I missed the paranoid feel - Gentry sleeping in hotel closets instead of the bed was one, the rope tied to his foot on the train was good. And a feeling was missing on luring Gentry back to the villa. Maybe the long form of the book made it feel more impactful.
@@MultiEmmey You probably took the movie to seriously that's why. Fitz already said Lloyd was a child, Suzanne said he was unstable. Lloyd even said that's why he's private so he can do as he pleases. His words/dialogues shouldn't really matter. If words do, Scorcese is your guy. As for these 2, Adrenaline was the motto for this movie.
T.7 They've had that in a number of action adventure films throughout the last few years remember Wanted with James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie that was 14 years ago. And of course the Matrix films they didn't have a problem putting in those type of action films and they made a ton of money.
Prague Square segment is bunch of lies, they build just the fountain where is Ryan handcuffed. Square is there, same as two way tram track system... I live there so i should know
@@robgetsreel thats right, and now that you said that it was five and a half months wasnt it. Based on the movie interaction though Six didnt know who Lloyd was so I dont think their pathes crossed while they were both CIA. Honestly i really liked this movie and Im glad to be able to discuss with other people the nuances of it. I coudlve sworn i heard early reviews that it was a terrible movie and was happy to feel opposite.
The only thing I didn't like about the movie was changing the reason for him being in jail. Made no sense. Killing drug dealers is just as good a motive and keeping his dad as the one who taught him how to shoot at his tactical range would make more sense if they go down the backstory of him as a member of Golf Sierra. Loved the movie though. Can't wait for the next one.
Here's another movie where critics get wrong. This movie isn't suppose to be thoughtful. Shut your brain off and enjoy. It definitely delivered on fun action.
I don't know what this says other than a nitpick but I hate when he kills everybody in the house and you don't see the two main bad guys get it Future movie maybe
Enjoyed the movie, books where a little better for me, good video and all just really never watch more then half these days cause of the host. Don't know why, he just puts me off wanting to watch
I guess the PG rating means that there is ONLY violence against male characters. When the female characters get into fights they really only get pushed, not punched, kicked or stabbed.
This review is a lie. The movie is boring and it looks cheap. I think, actors got most of the money, as you can see hardly 75mln on the screen. There's not a single decent action scene, all of them are drunkenly edited as if it was Taken.
This movie sucked, very shallow and just an unoriginal mashup of everything you’ve seen before. Not even the great performances of the actor could save it…
What did you think of the casting of The Gray Man?
Cool cast and hope they get more big names int he sequel!
Ryan Gosling was the perfect choice.
Very spot on...
The India nailed it 🤯
A+++ !!!!! Outstanding show!
I'm so glad Ryan got the lead rather than Chris. If it was Chris it would've just been another captain America.
Lloyd emptying rocks from his boot in the maze could be a Princess Bride nod

The mustache made me think of commando as well!
I thought of Commando watching this too
Yeah except the stunts were not just guns. But acrobatic, realistic and amazing.
I thought Man On Fire but obviously a lot of Bourne and hadn’t thought of Comando but I enjoyed it, brilliant nonsensical fun.

I actually remember that sentence lol
If that omission/deviation disappointed you… definitely don’t watch the Witcher and the few upcoming Disney live movies 😭😅
“Fired shells”?
That host was so cringee
"Char-lize Ther-lon." What?
So....you basically read off all the trivia from IMDB.... Great job
Yeah. I'm not feeling I'm getting things "I missed" during the movie... This feels more like let me ear bash you with "side facts".
I’d love to learn the 25 things I missed but this guy is terrible. I stopped before the two minute mark.
Haven't seen a action movie this good in a very long time!
"Char-lies thur-lon" 😂😂😂 I've never heard her name butchered THAT bad before
Same with Alfre Woodard… wow
Red Notice was shit, The Gray man was actually fun

Perfect blend of Wick and Bond ❤
Why are you screaming? Bruh... Calm down... We can hear you.
What a badass movie. Very entertaining! 2 thumbs up lol
Eagerly waiting for the pitch meeting
As far as I know, Chris' characters weren't especially warmhearted and well-behaved in "Fierce People" and "The Iceman", too.
As a generic big-budget action movie, I guess it was okay. I'm assuming that those who liked it have never read any of the books, though. The writers clearly didn't. Aside from the title and a few character names, it had almost nothing in common with the books.
Chris mentioned Ryan as “sunshine “ refrence from movie remember the titans
The “Classic” No Time To Die? That movie is like 3 days old, that makes about as much sense as your ridiculously huge glasses!

I did not miss it at all seeing as I'm naturally paranoid already
I’ve never been a Ana, Chris, or Ryan fan but this movie made me a big fan. Fantastic work to the writers, special effects, stuntmen/women!
many thanks for not hating the movie. it was fun to watch. I liked it a lot ')
This is the kind of film everybody has already seen at least 5 times elsewhere
If you say so, but definitely not the acting. Definitely not.

Ryan Gosling ROCKS ❤❤❤❤
I think screen rant missed the part where Loyd wasn't a former colleague of 6....
5:23 proud me😎
What did I miss? A decent film, proper action sequences, everything they cut to get the certificate down from 18, a reason to ever watch it again...
Did you just pronounce Charlize Theron as "Char-lies they're on"
action was a little too physics defying and mind numbing the amount of things happening at once

Llyod wasnt a former associate, he was a independent agent
He was in the CIA for 5 months before being dismissed due to his crazy behaviour. After this he became a mercenery.

Yesss ! Pretty good movie 🍿 👍
Evans hamming it up here twirling mustache and all.....all that was missing was that he needed to tie the girl to the railway tracks....moo ha ha.
Lowering the playback speed makes the commentary somewhat bearable
I haven’t seen this movie yet. Is it good
25 things I compared to other movies.. Ok thx man
I suspect Chris decided to go evil because in the upcoming avengers multiverse wars he’s going to have to destroy another earth.
I think it’s a masterpiece
Me too
you know is a shitty movie when more than half of the things mentioned here are from other movies
1:56 the train set is one of those model sets
The chip will selfencrypt if we try to copy it. Just use your phone cam
Pretty sure Lloyd made a comment before the fight started about the sun coming up. It wasn't a mistake.
This movie was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wish it had a wider theatrical release. A lot of junk on screens currently.
Char-lies? 👀👀👀
Me fascina los actores que escogieron, son grandiosos y guapos además,so,que más se puede pedir, buena escogida!!!

Its Charlize Theron not Therlon. She is one of the best in the industry get the name right man.

not sure all those films are actually "classics" what is the criteria to become one these days?
"classic" ie, mentioned in the script of this video. Too bad the writing has been getting weaker on your channel. "Classic"
Sorry, some of these either seem like a reach or are just not that interesting.
Also, the over the top narration gets a bit annoying after a while.
I like how he keeps saying more on that later 😂
Because they did not write the trivia card for him yet
I think Ryan would make a perfect James Bond...
Sorry but he's not even British.
Robert Pattinson.
I think Chris Evans’ character had a Hamilton watch on?
Look. I love Ryan. I think he's a great actor. But if you think there is anyone who can replace Nicholas Cage as Ghost Rider, you're wrong.
"Char Lize Ther Lon"....?
Evans in this movie is the worst villian ever lol...but fits to this very poor movie.
What is this, 25 we missed or a bio on everything else and a couple things you may have missed.
Nice breakdown, but the word "classic" is thrown around very liberally in this video. Enjoyed the movie, looking forward to more.

Chris Evans gave a terrible, over the top performance, one deserving of a Razzie award.

The Russo Brothers rocks nice movie
First film I didn’t finish because it was so bad
