Every few months I go through your videos and watch anything I haven't seen yet. I always feel like I level up in a meaningful way afterwards. Thanks for everything!
This was a very informative video for me. I was aware of the existence of all of these plugins but didn’t really know what they do (other than the basics of the filters). I did not realize that Kick 3 and Visco were such deep, resynthesis rabbit holes, especially with the key tracking setting for Kick 3. Of course the holiday sales on those two are over now 😢. I think the spectral oscillator in Halion can be used in some ways as the basis form starting something like these, but not with the immediacy of the envelope modeling and all the parameters chosen and optimized for percussion. Fabfilter Volcano 3 would be another modulation and routing monster that can be used as a drum (or melodic) synth.
Old is gold. In the same boat as you. (But i use the 3 first too 🦹🏻♂️) Drumcomputer is nice for glitchy feel and complexifier thing….Midi out….and nice drum Maps. Ho…and i love XO too much as well.
OP… remember FXpansion’s Guru?? I never did get to try out the 64 bit 2nd iteration, but the first one was my goto drum rompler for years and years. Never heard of Tremor from them though.
32 bit Guru in XP SP2 in Cubase SE 1.07 runs like a dream. Sorry to hear the 64 bit version is janky. To ^ - Microtonic from Sonic Charge is an OG Don.
Hey man can you maybe make an udu ibo percussion physical modelling tutorial i guess you would nail it and it would be a nice instrument to have full control over
I tend to prefer the "drum machine" workflow so my favorites are Batallion, Visco, and the the D16 emulations. I'm just quicker with them and they tend to do everything I want. Whats your thoughts on Audija Kickdrum? I hear its really good for genres that seek precise kicks.
In regards to Chop Suey. I use DC Snares and to a larger degree WA Triaz & Kick 3 for the same thing, I suppose- How does Chop Suey it differ from your point of view?
These are all quite vastly different, neither does a very nice time offset layering as opposed to just layering. But like I said the features in chop suey aren’t that unique (perhaps actually they are in this instance) but the workflow is insanely good
finally a video that doesnt just throw in a bunch of vsts everybody knows

Also, I went and purchased VISCO before I even finished this video. What an absolute gem of a plugin.
i love filterverse so much
For drum design from scratch I use Phase Plant + Khs snapins + external saturation/distortion plugins.
Excellent review, thanks a lot!
Loved the video bro, super amazing!!!
I see you everywhere, especially on polyverse and infected mushroom stuff 😂❤
@ashley_noveyplush yes I love it personally
I'd add Beatsurfing Random Metal to that very good list.
totally agree
Honestly my favorite drum synth right now.
Good lord I love Random Metal. So good for coming up with weird and interesting percussion sounds.
Thanks for the recommendation. I sort of ignored that one as well as its older sister, “Random.” I see that was a mistake
@@MathHammerhonestly think they did themselves a small disservice continuing with the name random since the original was so hit or miss with people.
Polyverse Supermodal sounds like messing with random kitchenware and construction parts and stuff to get sounds. A plugin is far more convenient. 😎

Microtonic, Addictive Drums, kick 2, not tried 3 yet, fxpansion Tremor (discontinued) , Waldorf attack are my faves, probably cause I'm getting old ^^

@@ghfjfghjasdfasdf 64 bit Guru is nice but crash's my DAW far too much to be relied open. on paper fantastic, reality worthless
❤ Microtonic

❤ This is so cool. Great job DAWsome helping others: 😊
Hi Dash, nice to see you doing drums. Love your videos ❤❤
Solid list 🤟

The first snare of kick 3 sounded more like someone gettin hit on the head with a glass bottle 😂

Audija is good but very similar to kick3 without some of the newer additions and the ui is a bit hard to use imho, very good though
❤
Any masterclass about how to create drums including processing? 🙂
You just watched it
@ missing further processing
@TildeSounds has one and I believe Alckemy does as well. Or maybe Al's is just a sound pack.
UVI Drum Replacer should be in there
Is there any way to hear a demo of your drum pack before purchase?

Batallion ended the search
forreal i feel like its so slept on still as a plugin, its crazy how much it can do
Yeah that's fantastic it takes drums to another level.
It’s a great tool, but it’s a little cpu heavy compared to other drum specific plugins.
5:35 ... that ... are minecraft soundeffects ...
please no, i just got to the point where i felt i only really need bitwig but some of these seem really cool. send help 😂
XO off cource
