It’s always fun to see what other folks do. I’ve had a super light and simple setup for 1- evernew pot, alcohol or fire maple stove, S2S XL cup, titanium spoon. Now I’m working on some fancier meals for 2 so adding a skillet, utensils and 2nd burner. Honestly the hassle factor of dealing with coffee grounds in the backcountry has me sticking with instant- Black Rifle currently but I still like good old Bustelo too. One thing I would counsel is to never hold your meal pouch and pour boiling water into it as it shows in your video. That’s really dangerous! It’s great to see you getting your kids out there. Nice video.

great video mate, nicely put together. Always good to hear how other people tackle this sort of stuff. I have never worried too much about weight, but the more I hike, the more I am checking out my options, so glad I stumbled on your video. Good luck with your channel, I know how much work you have to put in to get these upload, subscribed 🇺🇸🇦🇺✌🏻

Start out with a half full fuel canister? Ounce counting is outta control. I carry an MSR Windburner, compact and never fails, will boil wawa in a heartbeat.

MSR makes incredible stuff!!! I love my MSR filter. Yeah, I carry two canisters but have friends that weigh their canisters.

New subscriber.. Nice video.. I went on a week-long hunting trip and just used a Toaks pot and mountain house meals. It worked but I will be taking some luxury items this year and the pot you showed looks like it will make it. Being we are not back packing but using E-Bikes and a trailer each I may take a cast iron dutch oven and have biscuits. lol

Thank you for the add! Really appreciate it!
I totally agree! I’m a luxury guy as well. I rarely leave without my pan and pot these days. Also two thumbs up for biscuits and gravy.

I make little "tea bags" out of coffee filters, I deposit the grounds into my morning cat hole and pack out the filter. I just couldn't stand the wet nasty gsi filter thing.

@@daddoesadventure it works pretty well if I am in the mood to mess around with it. For the more camp oriented trips.

I’m glad you were able to pry that muskrat off your face 😂
Instead of focusing strictly on the weight of the Toaks mug, StS skillet and collapsible pot, how about telling us: model name/number, volume, diameter, and depth PLEASE
Yes, I can Google that info but, if you’re going to take the time to discuss the item…
