Download BIAS FX for FREE here: positivegrid.page.link/nGAK In this video, Steve Stine demonstrates the tone and features of Bias FX Universal for iPhone by Positive Grid. This app allows you to create incredibly realistic guitar tones from classic, boutique and must-have guitar amps along with incredible analog sounding pedals and rack effects, all from your phone, and Steve does a walkthrough of the app so you can see how everything works. This app serves many useful purposes for any guitar player, from having a backup rig at your disposal to the freedom to practice, write, or record anywhere at any time, without having to have your amp and pedalboard with you. The user interace is simple to use, and if you use Bias Amp on your phone, Bias FX Universal integrates directly into that as well, so you can pull up a boutique amp in Bias FX, send it to Bias Amp to change the tubes, transistors, etc, and then send it right back into BIas FX for the ultimate flexibility in sound. You can also run dual amps to customize the tone just how you want it.
I picked up at Ik multimedia IRig 2 for my audio interface . Hope it works well. If not I’m definitely going to try the shure 👍. Can’t wait to tinker around with this . Sounds great !
Hello Steve! How do you get that sound? It’s awesome. I have Positive Grid Bias 2 mobile running through an Apogee Duet for iPad and Yamaha HS5 monitors but it doesn’t even come close. Any advice? Thanks and great video!
Hi Steve. I bought bias fx mobile, elite or ultimate version. Don’t know exactly how it’s called, anyway it’s a full paid version. I also have bias fox Le edition on my Mac. On the pc using the shure mvi audio interface, the sound is muffled and with low volume. I got a scarlet focusrite scarlet from a friend. Although the sound improved in volume and gain, it still didn’t sound that good as on the bias mobile app. I’m waiting for my Steinberg ur22 interface to arrive. Now back to the phone app. No matter what I do, I don’t seem to get a really good tone from it. I have the same equipment as you do except for the guitar. I have an Ibanez premium (HSH configuration) with Dimarzio pickups that were from an Ibanez JEM Steve Vai signature mode. I got your tone from tonecloud but I notice that there is a slight difference in sound. It sounds a bit muffled, not like on the pc. I’m trying to find a good sound for metal to record in Cubase but struggle to find a decent sounding one. I have other guitars, the one that managed to provide the best overall tone is my Gibson flying v
Hey Marco, you'd have to run a bluetooth pedalboard. Positive Grid used to sell a 4 channel bluetooth board, so you could set it up for either preset changes, or parameter changes. I contacted them and they don't sell them anymore on the storefront due to lack of interest, but they do have some available evidently. I hope this new release will have people changing their minds.
Hi Steve. Great demo. I have a question. What interface did you use to connect the guitar to your iPhone and also get the sound out of it, since there is no headphone jack anymore? Thanks
Dont even get an interface unless you need phantom power to power a mic 🎤. , get a beringer if anything, they will cost you $20 bucks and to be honest phuck Apple and tim c00k who makes ipad customers buy phucken adapters made in china for 450% profit, does not include a pencil ✏️ which only works with apple 🍏 and uses slaves to make apple products abroad!
Really enjoying this but I can’t figure out if it’s possible to lower the volume of other apps. I’ll open RUclips and it’ll blast it out at full volume. Is there anyway in the app to lower this? I’m using IRig hd2 is this the problem?
Hi seems interesting but only thought I'd can you Bluetooth iPad with bias on to an audio interface or as I fear there would be delay or could you can use boss wireless system but then would guitar need to be cabled to ipad. Trying to find way of wireless iPad to interface but also guitar wireless too iPad but not sure it's possible. A cable would be needed somewhere? That's why I stick with my boss katana air and just output to a couple of high end powercabs to gig. If you can do bias fx mobile all wireless would interest me I would build my own wireless amp around it
I tried using the inter app audio with Bias Amp 2 and it says unavailable. I can open the amp in Bias Amp 2 like u demonstrated but not access anything from BA2. Is it a future feature? Thanks
I was just typing you this long text, but I figured it out. 1. First of all, make sure you have the updated versions of both on your phone. 2. Next, go to the shopping cart, and go to upgrades. INSIDE there is a thing called "essential license" or "ultimate license" and THAT's what gives you the ability to integrate them together. Either one of them will give you the BA integration I bought the essential license, and bought a bunch of the add-ons for the video, and didn't even see that "ultimate license" in the upgrades! I could have gotten all of it at once. Oh well.
hello! your videos are amazing! please, i need your help. how i can combine BIAS Fx and Bias AMPS 2 mobile on mi iphone? and maybe you can do a video for AMPS 2 mobile? please 👏👏👏
Hi Steve, I have a question. If I purchase Bias fx for Pc, do I get all the stuff for my phone for free then because I have the pc version or do I have to purchase both because they are two complete seperate things?
Hi Micah. Not at the moment, unfortunately, as I know there are many Android users out there, but let's hope someday they can make it work. ANYONE out there know of some awesome apps like this for Android?

Can’t freakin wait to try this!!!! Thanks so much for the tutorial...otherwise the versatility turns into sensory overload....excellent video!!!!
Awesome to hear, Jack!
FYI, iOS has a “Do Not Disturb” setting which is perfect for apps like this. Great review!
I forgot to mention that, thanks for sharing!
Excellent demo. Really appreciate this.
Hey Steve, can you tell what app for iPhone allows you to record directly from BIAS? Awesome video. Cheers
Steve awesome thing u did ,,,by making this video on BiasFX
Thank you!

How would you change effects in a live situation?

IRig blueboard is another option
But how do you delete pedals off the chain completely instead of just turning them off? Doesnt seem to be away
Sir How to connect Guitar to BIAS FX to Song Box
Hi Steve what I need to connect the Bias fx app to the guitar? Thanks.... if u can explain to me 😀😀😀
Paolo Caridi I was wondering the same thing.
You can use almost any "ios audio interface", from a simple iRig to what I use, a Shure MVI. There are many out there.
@@stinemusiclessons thanks so much to reply....I just ask bcos I dont have all the equipment u guys have...unfortunally...😀😀😀

You know what I like to use, TH2 Producer from Overloud. That's for pc but its my favorite to use.
I like that one too!
Great sound! how's the latency with the iOS interface? :)
I don't notice latency at all, to be honest. Let me know if you notice anything?
Hi. Can I use "audio in the background" function in the ipad version of bias fx universal? (I'm going to buy ipad.) Thanks.
Yes, that's how I jam.
It will run in the background, also works in Garage Band. If you’re going to use it with a Bluetooth switch, bias app has to be on the screen.
@@leederoflemmings6634 how do you get it to run in the background
Anyone know how to set up with Yamaha thr ii?

So, this app appears to be better than Amplitube. Correct?

You have to purchase them separately :-)

how to record bias amp 2 on ios.
Download GarageBand (free), then use the ‘inner app audio’ feature on garage band and then select bias amp 2 from there, then you are free to record
Is this free?
Anything for Android?

Hey I'm getting a lot of feedback even with headphones (WTF?)
Does anyone know why this is? (Running an Ipad 6 and iRig 2)
Maybe the IPad mic is staying on.
