My First Attempt to Cut Rhinestone Flock on a Silhouette Cameo 4

Since starting to cut rhinestone templates some time ago, I have only used a Cricut to do so. Mainly my Cricut Maker, but I have also used my Cricut Joy for a few small templates. I recently got a Silhouette Cameo 4 and wanted to try it out on Rhinestone Flock. So, I made a video of my first attempt. I will be trying it out on a Siser Romeo cutting machine soon as well.

I learned that same thing. My blade cut all the way through the new flock and paper.

I have not. I have never been successful at cutting with the backing on using my Cricut. I was able to cut it if I took the backing off, but it is so sticky that I had to use a cutting mat that had pretty much no stick left on it. But, it did work:)

I tried it using a Silhouette Cameo 4, first time cut straight through backing so I dialed back to 5, then it came out on flock only 99% holes cut out!!! Also I used that HTVRONT orange flock, first time using it! Yayyyy!!!🙌🏽

It didnt work when I tried to cut the whole Template it's thinner than the regular flock. It tore into the design so I had to trash it. I will try with the old flock. I still have some left.🥰@@MakingwithMarilyn

I use the mat and also the backing on my cameo pro 4.. I used the settings suggested by Matt at the The rhinestone Warehouse. He has a video on setting up custom profiles.

Love my cameo 4 plus I cut with mat 6 one pass force 33 speed 30 and it cuts great but think off a roll not good so I cut a 3 foot piece and use a weeding box

I was trying to cut out my template design and the circles kept cutting out as ovals, so the rhinestones wouldn’t fit in the holes. Have you experienced anything like this? I was looking online and it’s saying that my cameo might need to be recalibrated.

My Silhouette Cameo cuts them as ovals too. It is very frustrating. I have another cutting machine so I use it when doing flock, but I have had multiple people say their Cameo cut circles as ovals as well.

@@jiggywithj it might help, but I'm really not sure. I was able to cut just a few templates with my Silhouette before it began cutting ovals. After that, I switched to a different cutting machine. If you find success with calibrating, I would love to know it. I've heard multiple people say they have this same issue.
