There is a house in a nearby town that the homeowner had a concrete culvert put in that goes out from the basement under the lawn and sidewalk to the street and they used it as a gun range. The house is for sale, too. If I remember right it is 4 lots on the block, 2 lots in front and 2 lots behind, with the house on the 2 front lots with garage and lawn area in the 2 back lots.
It is quite a place. But the owners are definitely empty nesters and looking at retirement so they are downsizing.

Top part of the bedrock was weathered and could be removed with good trackhoe. A bit deeper and bedrock needed some persuasion with pneumatic breaker. There is a point where it's more cost effective to blast. It would have loosened material for faster removal. Not every area has blasting contractors available.
Every overgrown 'kid' wants his own underground bat cave. It is truly the safest place to be in any disaster including earthquakes. Bunker is tornado proof, hurricane proof, and even flood proof is built correctly. Don't forget emergency power system and pumps to keep everything dry.

Makes me happy to see everyone working for you is "American". Especially being based out of Texas.
Here in Florida they'd all be speaking Spanish.

Great video . Tell the guys in the hole to get out when rigging in parts . If something breaks it could crush them.
