You are going to enjoy it! I'm getting ready to run it soon. Watch a bunch of videos or read the manual. This bike has gyro stabilization and modes so turning it on and off has a different procedure from regular Rc ground vehicles without gyros.

LOL It's actually impressive to me that they could develop this and have a working RC dirt bike that works that well and is that durable for that price. I have a bunch of 2s lipo ranging from 5000mah 2s 50c to 6500mah 2s 100c. All my lipos are from amazon and I do plan to make another video and I will try and include links and what I think about the batteries so far.
That was a sweet run. when did you get yours? I have been waiting over a month for mine and no ETA. Losi left us in the dark. I ordered mine on June 24th and got nothing yet.
They definitely dropped the ball on this release. I ordered on the 22nd of june and 24th for another one. I'm also still waiting on an update for both. I got tired and just called all the hobby shops around me and lucked out. They had some blue and green ones. Definitely puts a sour taste in your mouth seeing others order later and get their's or just walking into a LHS and scoring one. Preorders are your loyal customers and should have been prioritized. What's the point of putting in a preorder when someone just walks in a shop and walks out with one while your left waiting. Hopefully yours shows up soon! Seems like people are posting more "Its finally here" photos.
It’s interesting because pg 11 of the manual states run time on nine is between 9-12 minutes and the Losi rep who sent by way of email replies said I should let the bike cool down 5-10 minutes between run to let electronics cool yet everyone I have spoken too has said over & over they don’t have any overheating issues not major
mine got hot after 3 packs back to back. It never thermal shut down but the flywheel area was hot when I was carrying the bike. according to the spektrum dashboard app the esc temp was 147 degrees which is still pretty safe imo(but not sure how accurate that temp reading is). Thats probably not the flywheel esc temp. I'm also running it here at 96 degrees ambient temp. Run 2 packs today at 108 degrees outside. I had to go inside and cool myself off. Then a hour later went out for the second pack. Seems to be fine but noticed yesterday on third pack the steering servo started going back and forth on its own slightly like a shakey servo.
Can you elaborate more on the spectrum dash board app is it an app u download on your phone & do you have to use spektrum lipo batteries to get it to work?
Just search the app store in your phone for the app called spektrum dashboard. You will need to buy the module and install it in your dx3 at the top where the fake antenna is you can remove that and see the place to install the Bluetooth module. I'm happy with the performance on 2s actually. It's awesome the way it is. I don't really chase speed with my RCs just driveability and fun factor. Most my RCs are in the 35mph to 75mph range so nothing too rowdy.
@@johnlujan8706 the red and blue one doesn't come with a battery or charger and its about give or take a couple dollars $600 with tax. And then green one comes with one battery and a really slow charger thats around $650 out the door.
I have this and 2 kyosho HOR. The kyosho is definatly more realistic in driving due to lack of gyro. This is a nice rc but definatly not what it was hyped up to be. 100% NOT worth $600. $400....yes.
Nice! I have 1 kyosho and 2 of these. I liked them both because I can't jump the kyosho. Do you know where to purchase parts for the kyosho? I been needing a new gearbox.
@RunThatRC GPMParts sells alot of stuff for them. Mostly aluminum upgrades which is awsome. I am running a spektrum 6000kv 2 in 1 brushless system in mine so I had to buy a metal gearbox and gears to support it. I got my gearbox from ebay tho. It was relatively cheap to buy and is worth every cent. I'll try and do a quick overview of my build on my channel, soon. Right now I just have a "first run" video of it.
@RunThatRC no problem, post a video of it. There aren't many on here and that bike definitely deserves more attention. I just bought my 2nd one like 4 days ago. I'm waiting on some parts to come in for it. I'm leaving it brushed but with a nice sturdy drivetrain.

You need the Bluetooth module for the dx3 and the dashboard app on your phone. You don't need the spektrum battery just a ordinary 2s lipo pack.
