Hi Lexi! I’m so happy you featured the Violette fr baumes. I had one in the old formula and found them too drying on my lips. I was hesitant to try them again until I saw they were reformulated and decided to get the amour feu shade and I have to say I was impressed and can see me wearing these daily when I want color on my lips but don’t want to have to think about it. Now I want to get that Sucrette shade which is right up my alley these days. Thank you for showing these and talking about them. I love all the products I purchased from her line and it is a wonderful brand.
Thanks Karen! I think the Sucette shade is beautiful! I'm glad you gave the new formula a try. I really like how responsive her line is to customer feedback. They changed the wands on the liquid lipsticks shortly after and really made those great too.

Hi Lexi! The Bobbi Brown palette has a lovely peachy tone, which is perfect on your complexion. I could almost see the highlighter used as a blush topper, but the bronzer wouldn’t be deep enough for my complexion. I’m not sure that the medium palette would be the right colors either, so I’ll have to look for swatches on it. I’m really happy to see that Violette has her own product line. I used to follow her when she was with Estée Lauder. In fact, I even purchased some of the makeup she developed while she was there. The matte lip baumes are definitely her aesthetic, as she liked to press lipstick on her lips with her finger so it looked more like a stain. That’s great that she’s with Guerlain now. What a neat lady!

Hi Lexi! Thank you for featuring the new Bobbi Brown palette and thoroughly swatching and comparing each shade. I like the concept of having 2 blushes and one highlighter - it’s a far better concept than a palette that includes cheek, eye and lip or even only cheek and eye. Thank you as well for featuring the Violette_Fr balms - the shade range is ideal (and the shade names are quite imaginative!) I am most tempted by Calisson (French pastry) and Bêtise (mistake) - and also Sucette (lollipop).

I just ordered the Violette Bisou Balm Amour Fou today!! I'm super excited since the color looks absolutely beautiful. Yes, I am a bit afraid to wear traditional red on my lips since I'm light-medium complextion with blonde hair and prefer a natural look....this seems like it will be just the fun, perfect choice I was looking for! 😊

The Violette_FR Bisou Balm - Amor Fou is absolutely gorgeous! This color is so beautiful. It's matte, however, is definitely still a Balm. It's long-lasting, sheer, buildable coverage. Soft, velvety finish without being sticky or tacky. This is really my dream balm!! ❤ Plus the vanilla scent is scrumptious! 😊

I have Sucette and Guinmauve. I wish she'd do a light/medium pink in this formula. It is much nicer than any matte formula I've found. I'll be getting Amour Fou Bisou Balm. Her Petal Bouche in Amor Fou is a strong sophisticated red that catches light in beautiful ways and is flattering as hell to your teeth. It's a wonderful statement red, but it lacks a comfortable slip once dry, which I'm hoping the Amour Fou Bisou Balm will add & a lighter pink Bisou Balm would make for an amazing ombre. I'll be getting more from her line, for sure.

Hi Lexi - blur effect is a nice concept and I'd like to try these at some point but I understand the shipping costs are expensive for this brand so that makes me a little hesitant. The one you had on and the raspberry shade (Sucette?) are very nice 😊

How exciting that you now have all 5 Bisou Balms, I'm only missing Amour Fou but I'm hoping I can get it soon because I really love the formula and the colors of these balms. Also so excited to get the new purple Yeux Paint they are releasing soon, I'm still not the biggest fan of the Yeux Paint formula because it's too intense for me but the color looks amazing ¿will you get it? Ive been intrigued by the Bisou Balms especially the new red color. I might try one. Does it have a scent?
There is a natural fragrance that smells like clean beauty makeup.
At first I was intrigued by the new BB palettes, but I don’t like that stiff formula for the blush, and bronzer. I do have one of the highlighters, and find them amazing. I’m skipping these palettes, I prefer the hourglass formula for powder blushes and bronzers, as my skin is on the dry side. Your review was very helpful.

Thank you! I know I've talked about it in previous videos but right now I am staying home with the kids. I was a biology teacher until a few years ago. I have to admit that all of this is very time consuming so if i'm not with the kids, I'm doing this. It's a lot more time than I originally thought or even than it was the first year or two but it offers me a sense of fulfillment that I miss from teaching which is not a current option for me.

I also started my channel as a way to escape just "being a mom" too..and I work as an Amazon warehouse manager so its the farthest from a luxury job. This gives me a tiny escape to just sit and play with makeup without worrying about being someones snack maker haha Your videos are so thought out, so detailed and I can tell you put a ton of work into all of your content-You will grow so fast and its well deserved!

Hi Lexi, how do the Bisou balms compare to the Kiss Kiss Bee Glows especially concerning moisture and comfort. I’m assuming the balms are matte and the glows have a touch of shine. Thanks!
Yes, you are correct but in terms of hydration and texture, the Kiss Kiss are waxier, slightly thicker/ more emollient, and more hydrating. The Violette_Fr are amazing for a matte balm but you can't beat the hydration of a glossier formula in general.

Very helpful video!! Can you tell me what the difference is between the Bisou balm and Chanel’s Rouge Coco Baume?
The Rouge coco baume texture is a bit oilier and feels more like a thinner version of the coco flash. The bisou balms feel drier and more like a thin layer of pigment. There isn’t as much slip. The bisou balms are more blurring and more matte.

Hi Lexi, how do these compare to Givenchy sheer mattes?
These are thinner and more of a balm texture. They are more similar to the Dior matte lip balms. The Givenchy is a bit more hydrating imo (mostly because there is more product on your lips) and they are more pigmented.

How disappointing! I thought they had a choice of cool and warm palettes. Missed opportunity IMO. There are so many bright blushes out now, a couple of softer blush colors would have been a standout. There's just nothing special here. Thanks for taking one for the team on this. 💚
