Wow, the bad ending for Majora's mask is positively terrifying even as an adult so many years later.
Let's be honest, Majora's Mask bad ending is the definition of bad ending (to the point that it's truly inevitable).
That's why it's one of my favorites.
Majora's Mask is the best game ever created and a masterpiece!

Some of these are more "non-standard game over" than necessarily "bad ending", but honestly those are just as interesting. After all, everyone knows how to get a regular game over. Depending on the game you either just let your HP/Team's HP hit 0, or you run out of lives. And then you continue from your last save. But a non-standard one... you either die in a special place or way. Or choose the wrong dialogue option.
For those curious, I feel that non-standard game overs and bad ends are slightly different in that a bad end will be when you reach the ending of a game but haven't reached the right criteria for a good/true ending. For example, inthe first Pikmin, you get the bad ending if you run out of days and haven't collected enough of the lost ship parts. Sometimes this could also be losing to the final boss, tho. I feel that is harder to categorize as either, especially since a non-standard game over could be seen as a bad end. Banzo-Kazooie is another example hard to categorize, since you get the game over screen from just quitting the game.

Some of these aren't even actual bad endings, they just feel like easter eggs of sorts, and there is a ton of important ones missing such as the kirby dreamland 2 and 3 bad endings.
Kirby's bad endings and game overs are more positive like, "Let's try again!" It really gives you the chance to do the game again. 😊
Kirby 64's bad ending (which is any non 100% ending) would creep me out so bad as a kid. I kept wondering why they'd make such an awful cliffhanger, then I learnt just last year randomly that you had to 100% the game to defeat the actual final boss and get the true ending. Edit: But goddamn, I was surprised now that they put a bleeding eye thing in the game.
Those 2 bad endings in _SSBU WoL_ can mean:
*Galeem:* Rules the world and controls everyone with it's light beams, everyone is doomed to eternal brightness
*Dharkon:* Rules the world and EVERYONE IS DEAD againe, everyone is doomed to eternal darkness

To be honest if I had that Lazer the game would be twice as easy
You forgot about the bad ending from the original Golden Sun (2001). Yes, there was one where if Isaac declines his destiny at the beginning of the game, you'd get a text prompt saying, "And so the world began drifting towards its fated destruction...", unlike Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, it doesn't punish the player for the decision directly, but it is one to take note.

I didn’t even think it was possible to get 4th place in super mario kart. I remember seriously trying to as a kid and all it did was bump me to 3rd. I knew it was possible in mk64 which is the whole reason I tried to in smk.
