Ive seen about six of these film studies now. The one thing in common with all of these players is intelligence. Talent isnt the only thing that you need to succeed at this level.
Definetly love seeing these vids of players interacting each other, especially since we like to pretend that these teams "hate" each other, but a lot of players hang out with other people from diffrent teams. Plus the mutual respect they have especially younger players who play against older ones that they looked up to
Mostly because nobody or majority of football players aren't trying to purposely injure somebody or take them out the game. So I'm guessing once Adams saw him on the ground for a short period of time he knew he had to check on him. Plus I think Adam said they're friends.
lil noda I don’t think it’s his skill people doubt, they shouldn’t at least, its more so his inability to perform under pressure. I.e. prime time games
He makes a lot of good throws but he's not very clutch and just doesn't win you a lot of games. Even he called himself a .500 QB cause he doesn't win enough.
lil noda Cousins has the arm and accuracy of top 5-10 QB. It’s just mentally like during primetime games or when you’re down in the 4th quarter where he can be very frustrating. He can also be very frustrating by how conservative he is, especially when he takes a 3 yard check down on 3&10 when he could’ve thrown it up to either Diggs or Thielen (which Keenum did too much of imo), who are great in contested catch situations.
Man seeing jamal adams and thielen at the end was so wholesome. Im happy that it isnt lost on players that this is a dangerous game and they recognize when they may have crossed a line even in the slightest, and seek out to say something afterwards.
Everyone talking about Kirk. I agree he's good. But catching balls from literally any starting QB in the NFL is borderline an honour. Without pressure they would throw you absolute dimes. Great qbs are separated by intelligence and efforts in practice, not how accurate they are. They're all accurate. Some are just better on one foot, or under pressure, etc.
@@roberth7701 Kirk was actually one of the best passers under pressure last season. He excels under pressure when he has a hot read. Kirk's struggles lie in the pocket. He has very poor pocket awareness, both deriving from not having a clock in his head and not reading edge rushers. Despite a poor offensive line, he's probably responsible for half the sacks and all the fumbles.
@@roberth7701 What a horrible take. I'm assuming you didn't see those first few throws where he hits Thielen perfectly while being hit by a DL in the pocket? Yeah, didn't think so.
Not a Vikings fan but I love Thielen. He is amazing and his back story is one of the best of all time. He came from nothing, wasn't drafted, went to a rookie tryout just because it was his dream to play in the NFL so he decided to try. Somehow (to him) made it to the practice squad, then special teams, then #1 receiver. Next to Philip Lindsay, Thielen has the best NFL story of anyone I've ever known
I absolutely enjoy watching these videos, keep them coming. It's nice to see players that are currently in the league breakdown plays but to see the actual player breaking down their own plays is something else.
High key, Ronald Darby has incredible coverage on that corner route... good defense, unbeatable offense. Kirk low key better than he’s getting credit for
R&B Music Kirk doesn’t get enough credit for his arm and accuracy. He just has to be a bit more aggressive at times and figure it out mentally during primetime games and crunch time.
I love these FilmSessions. They go against the narrative that football is just this brutal blood sport for dumb, strong, and fast athletes. Videos like this prove that there is a lot more of a cerebral factor and studying to the game than the typical "I'm just stronger/bigger and faster than you" rep that football gets.
Skol Production Unfortunately he doesn’t have it figured out mentally. He had so much potential. Really hope he figures it out this year, but looks like he’s getting beat out by Jordan Taylor and Beebe.
As a twelve year old receiver getting this type of advice from NFL and College coaches really puts me ahead of everyone else in fundementals and technique
Great video here. He definitely contradicts what he said earlier at 10:05. He said in the breakdown that he knew he was going to get killed by the safety but on the field he was saying he didn't know the safety was there.
That Diggs against CB isolation film special effect was great! That's the first time I saw something like that. Really better than the circle the player visual.
Thing about the toe-tap is if you keep your feet, you're not really toe-tapping. To make sure you get both feet down, you have to give up on staying upright. Lay out, extend your legs, and drag your toes.
