I spent the first year of my Salvation learning to study the Word with Dr. Walter Martin via radio and books, giving me a rock solid foundation that has not failed me for 40+ years. With the Holy Spirit's leading, and Dr. Martin's teaching, I became so versed in the Real Thing that I could spot a counterfeit immediately.....a phrase and concept Dr. Martin was quite fond of. How grateful I am for his ministry. A better education than some seminaries give! Looking forward to thanking him personally....
I am 63 years old and I became a Christian at the age of 53. My wife was a roman catholic because she grew up in the philippines. i am a brit and live in London and live next to a very large Roman Catholic monastary. I came to Christ in a pentacostal church and am still a member there however I have been conflicted about where i should worship and have never felt settled anywhere. I only came accross Dr Martin yesterday and I have learned more in 24 hours than I have in the last many years. He is without doubt my favorite bible teacher and I told my wife today that I will never become a roman Catholic and will die a protestant. This video on salvation is an incredibly important one and should be taught from every pulpit in the world.

I strayed , not once ...but...Twice ! and came back to my Savior !...and yes, the road was very hard on those forays into sin, and complete with great affliction ! We most definitely are paid for with a great price !...and thank the Lord, He does whatever is necessary to bring back his lost sheep ! Amen !

I agree with you and warn many ppl who listen to him. Hank mixes truth with lies. Hank is a deceiver. Great teaching! So many people twist this passage, but this is exactly how I perceive this word! I remember when I was a little girl, my daddy listened to Dr. Walter Martin's every broadcast.
I couldn't tell how much Dr. Martin has help me in my faith. I discovered him on the radio program THE BIBLE ANSWER MAN coming from San Juan Capistrano in the 80s. Far from trusting in my works, I trust in the works of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I love Dr. Walter Martin.
One cannot lose their salvation because the Holy Spirit indwells the believer and we are sealed to Him. The Holy Spirit does not jump out of us every time we sin and then back in when we repent.
God is wonderful!! I was just at a funeral today and a neighbor of mine and I got into the discussion about "once saved, always saved" and I tried to show her that this was truth! I went over several different parts of scripture, and we agreed to get together soon for a Bible study. -- I have never heard of Dr. Walter Martin, and just accidentally (though I do not believe it was an accident at all, but the Lord directing me...), ran across this video tonight and sent it to her! These are the points that I had not got around to sharing with her, and so it completes the full circle! -- What a great minister of God this man is!
Thank you for this. You helped me to finally know for sure we have eternal security. I was raised on the right Gospel, right Jesus Christ but not this doctrine. Took me a while but He never fails. I love the way He uses man but so many think God needs THEM. "It's better to put your trust in the Lord than your confidence in man." Psalm 118:8 and is the very center verse of the Bible. I'm so upset! Hank Hanigraff who took over for Dr Walter Martin, recently got baptized into the Greek Orthodox Catholic Church! I wrote saying to stop sending me emails and my reasons why and that Martin preached against it! It's completely not teaching the pure gospel of Jesus Christ -PURELY! They have so much added teachings. They wrote me back saying he's still a Christian. I wrote back that Martin would never have agreed with this!!

I have had a lot of trouble with this scripture! I was raised in and out of church during my childhood, as I got older I found myself doing the same thing in and out of church at times falling into deep gross sin adultery amongst other gross sins. I'm now 38 years old and want to serve God. My question is have I ever been saved, do I need to be saved, or have I lost my chance because of things I've done?
I am upset with Hank Hanograff too. He holds to the damnable heresy of replacement theology and is an enemy of Israel. In Jeremiah 31 and 32 God's says that as the fixed laws of the universe do not change so He is faithful to His chosen people the Jews.
