@@ghostrider7688 that’s a very nice thing to say heartfelt .God Bless we just love Ireland 🇮🇪 and farmer Phil we don’t come from Ireland we just love your country and music people love everything about it .
Sheep have 3 main objectives in life, As father and uncle Phil said, the first one is to break out, the second one is to limp and the third one is to die. And when they aren't breaking out, limping and dying they are lying chewing their cud while thinking up new ways to break out ,limp and die.
Really love your round the table chats about the past and the farm, it's so interesting. Well done for throwing the spotlight on mental health and not been afraid to say you have also suffered. Your openness will encourage someone else to seek help. Farming can be a lonely and all consuming occupation. Best of luck to you all.
Those 2 lads are fair interesting Phil ,I like the bit about the cutthroat game contracting has become and they definitely didn't need a recycling bin, and fair play to you for been brave enough to say what you said near the end of video ,one of yer best so far
Brilliant insight to times gone by, that generation of storytelling is a dying art! Their recollection of the exact years of events is brilliant, can’t remember what I did last week😏
We love it when the when you have get together with your father and Uncle it’s what we need at the end of the day we love you all .Its good for our minds to talk about what’s going on good or bad we need to talk .Thank you farmer Phil keep safe and well .Peace to all .🐸🐸🐸🐸🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🦠🦠🦠🦠🦠🦠
Great video Phil always great to hear about the history of the farm. Great to here you talking about mental health. I’ve suffered myself also. The way I see it now everyone has mental health good or bad. We all have highs and lows. Talking about bad days really does help. Don’t keep things to yourself. I’m always there for anyone that wants to chat. Take it easy everyone
Was bro born in a field???? Didn't close d door after him!! My god u's had a big herd, over 100 was massive in d mid 80's. Them chats with d aul lads are brilliant and def nothing wrong with there memories 🤠🤠🤠
I really enjoyed that, thank you. Have heard some great stories myself about the old days of mixed farming in South Longford, It's great to see somebody bring them to RUclips. The Economic War was tough on a lot of farmers - would be interested to hear more about the history of the farm in that era.
Well done Phil That’s a amazing video, sorry to hear you had a bad patch in your life, But FairPlay to you for being open to all your viewers, Ive had my own experience thanks to special people in my life helped me through it,being open with them and speaking to the people that means the most to you ,as an individual.their is a lot to be achieved by talking to someone you can trust, a true friend is everything. Well done 👍🦒🦒🦙🦙😄
Great chat , the two lads Father and Uncle have great memories no doubt and plenty of aul experience of tough times , no doubt twil all be useful to ya Phil in the times we are in now and what’s coming 👍🏻
Great Video phil. And Great advice at the end. Its ok not to feel ok never bottle things up always speak out its not a sign of weakness its a sign of strength. Keep up the great work.
Nice vidoe Phil listen to them two men all day love to hear from the past and way thing done back then nice piece on mental health u dead right about it 🚜🐄👌👌👌🐄
I've said it on previous videos it's amazing the insight, knowledge and memory of years, locations and areas of things your father and uncle bought or what was happening at a certain time it great to hear they're stories true hard working Irish farmers keep up the good work men and I'd ask everyone to try there best to always buy Irish beef and support the hard working farmers of ireland
Vinny from north great videos had family members who suffered from depression I wouldn't have thought phil was sort of fellow who would be depressed no one is immune good luck
Great video phill. Your dad and uncle have great minds to remember every detail. I can hardly recall what I did last week . It's sad to see the demise of small farms and self sufficiency. My grandparents kept cows goats pigs and hens on small farms and reared large families. Impossible to do that now. Red tape has this country ruined. I'm in th process of buying a house on 3.5 acres at the moment so hopefully will be growing a few spuds and keeping a few hens 🤞
Liked your talk about the history of the farm espichley the bit about the sheep breakeing out .A frieand of mine says to get shee to stay in the fieald is to put them in the one beside it when the bracke their happy
A farmer near me was telling us a story of how two lams were getting out of a field and he didn’t know how as there was no holes in the fence and they couldn’t get back in and it turns out when the ewe was lieing down at the fence they would jump on her and jump the fence
you are dead right..everybody has bad days and its great to ring someone..even if you dont want to talk about your problems.just to have a chat to take your mind off what is bothering.everyone has bad days and no matter what the problem is it will be just a memory in no time at all.
Phil, if you remember the next time, can you ask if the family ever got tested for TB in the hospital after going down. I know farmers that have gone down a few times in a row, and I was just wondering if they were the carriers ? There has to be a bloody cure out there and the drug companies are just not letting on.
There is a vaccine for tb, but all the tests they will ever do to test for tb will always come back as positive after the vacations. But I think since the animals will be for human consumption they need a test that would come back as negative incase it ever becomes resistant to the vaccine
Just to tell you farmer Phil we didn't vote for the B word it's we don't want it we think it's all wrong for every one . There's a lot of like minded people like us who don't want it I've . It's causing so much up set with everything else . Keep safe we really love what you do love to your family and all your animals ❤️. Thank You peace to you all .🌎🌎🌎😷😷🙏🙏🙏🙏

Bertie is challenging Father Phil and your uncle for star of the show! Fair play Phil on being open about the depression, that can’t have been easy.
