If you put that dome on it, it nullifies the nice fall off completely, it's the dome that creates the light signature in that case. The V1's nice light fall off only shows if you use it without any modifier, just bare flash straight at a person standing against a wall. Every other situation will be identical to any other flash. Bouncing, shooting someone with no wall behind them etc.. For that reason, a V860III is a much more logical option - it also has a far more broader zoom range.
