I freaking love those boots and I ration my current pair like it was the last can of peaches after the Apocalypse!
One thing I know about Ariat boots is they run large. In tennis shoes I wear a 10 1/2 every pair since high school has been that size. Ariat boots however I wear a 9 1/2. I bought a pair of 10s because I wear boots tighter then I do my shoes. I ended up taking them back and swapping for a 9 1/2 and have been happy with my boots. Black Ariat Herdsmans. I love the detailing on the sides. When the sun hits the gold thread they really pop. Only $150 as well so if you want a really good looking boot and don’t want to spend an arm and a leg. Ask for the Ariat Sport Herdsman.
If you wear nike tennis shoes that may be your problem. I only wore nikes growing up and thought of myself as a size 13. When I started wearing other brands I realized that I'm actually a 12. My Ariats are 12s and they fit perfectly
In my case I found that they run small. I wear a 9.5, but had to get a 10 to fit correctly

@@martincurtis2257 China or not, what really matters is the question Is the company cheaping out on materials? Rest doesn't matter, chinese quality is pretty amazing tbh. If you order something directly from a factory (to sell in a store) they give you like 5 options on materials for the same product, ranging from cheap to expensive and it really makes a difference. "Made in China" isn't synonymous with cheap and poorly made anymore, it varies a lot, just like with other countries.

heel slip should not exceed 1/8th of an inch? thats the first time ive heard that. I thought around an inch or slip is okay?
An inch is a lot. I have multiple pairs of hand-me-downs that have about an inch and don't fit right. Makes working in/wearing them hell.
I mean an inch of heel slip with a new, non worn pair. i have a pair of elephant tony lamas the had 3/4-7/8 of heel slip when new, wore them maybe 20 days and the heel slip is basically gone, just a little slip. just depends on the boot i guess
+UncommonKIBBLES I usually wear a size or two bigger than my regular shoe fit because I use boot liners. In shoes I wear a 9.5 so I get a 10.5 boot and with the liner they feel great.
I prefer no liner. If I want dry feet or insulation I have other boots for that lol Good idea though! Every one has something different in mind

Not to sound stupid, as how this is my first time trying to find "cowboy boots," but are the boots supposed to fit tighter on your calf and leg or does it not matter? I have smaller calves and legs so they fit quiet loosely but snug on my foot. I noticed the guy in the video seemed to have the same thing going on and was curious.
scoobydoo2991 Boots are not supposed to fit tight on your leg or calf. Your foot should fit the boot snug yet comfortable.
I bought a pair of Ariat Ramblers, had to buy a size smaller than my sneaker to get the right fit.
I'm a European size 42 but the only sizes I see are a 41.5 or a 42.5. Would it be best if I size down as I heard these boots run bigger? Or should I go up in size! Someone help!!

I'm totally frustrated with Ariat.. For some reason they don't feel the need to make wide boots in size 11.5, MY SIZE! Every other damned size they offer wides, just not in 11.5 Makes ZERO SENSE! UGGG.
