If you only want to watch gameplay, you can skip straight to 2:50. Let me know if you are interested to see more videos about different ways to use gyro. My videos will always feature a hand cam so you can see exactly what I'm doing. I will also work on better presentation in the future videos. Stay tuned!
I’m not sure how many there are, but I play with gyro on all the time. Helps with close range hip aiming and combat. I think learning to keep steady hands is a skill gyro and dual sense can help us develop. I probably got a severe crash course in the skill by playing Forbidden West.
When I try to get it to work in either ds4w or steam it still recognised the controller buttons on top of the keyboard and mouse ones I've setup. It basically makes me look down at the floor constantly. I play bfv with gyro no problem. Any ideas?
Steam is probably the easiest. The biggest obstacle you will face is the conflict between mouse and Xinput. There are a few ways to get around if. I just don’t use Xinput. My controller is essentially a mouse (the gyro) with a pile of keyboard (not controller) buttons.
So I was able to launch fortnite through steam and have gyro aim through Steam and not the game. (I think) I have the origin version of 2024 I have not been able to find a way to have it launch through steam to enable it. What are my options here?
Very cool and exciting gameplay! And a lot of thick headshots too! Looking forward to see some videos with gyro :) Also, I noticed that you are using gyro in regular "mouse" mode How does it feel with "Mouse Joystick" mode? Do you get too much camera acceleration in this mode?
Thanks for your comment! At first I started using Mouse Joystick and it felt quite good and I was happy with it. But after some patch or fix (there are a lot of them now) it suddenly became very janky and unprecise and I couldn't find a way to make it good again. So I started using Gyro Mouse and mapped the right stick to mouse input to avoid that weird Battlefield bug when camera goes all over the place when you use normal right stick input with gyro mouse. After that it's been working great, and double input hasn't caused any issues so far.
@@gamingaccessgranted oh, Dice screwed everything again) this explains a lot) Yep, I'm familiar with this double input bug - it is present in every BF game since BF 3)) I am waiting and hoping for Dice LA (Ripple Effect) to fix this BF and fill it with great content and maps/modes. As for now, I think I'll buy the game later)
@@gamingaccessgranted hello sir) So BF2042 is temporarily free on Steam, I went to check it out. OMG the gamepad input feels horrible, and if I use gyro aiming in mouse joystick mode, the camera movement acceleration ruins everything for me (even though I set it to "0" in game settings) Hence, could you please provide in-game mouse sensitivity value that you are using and Gyro sensitivity (in mouse mode) in DS4Windows? Also, does mouse sensitivity in "Other" tab of DS4W affect anything?
@@NuriMustafa-yq5bu Hi again! :) I'm not using DS4W for this game, I'm using the regular Steam Input. Have you tried it? If not, you can try it too for both Mouse Joystick and Mouse modes to see if it's any different from DS4W for you. For me personally it works great for BF2042 with gyro and right stick in Mouse mode. To use Steam Input, open the game through Steam Big Picture, and you will be able to do any mappings for gyro and joysticks in-game by pressing PS button to open Steam overlay and choosing Controller Configuration. My in-game mouse sensitivity is 20 for the main value and 140 for aiming down sights. I think for this video it was these values, but sometimes I may tweak it. The Steam Input sensitivity settings for gyro and right stick as mouse are all default.
@@gamingaccessgranted thanks) I've got used to ds4w, but yeah - I should also try steam for that matter (at least in order to check out the difference in how both programs work) Yep, I also found out that 20 for mouse sensitivity seems ok) if only the game could be better overall)))
Unfortunately BF2042 does not support gyro on PS5. Best we can do is to reach out to DICE on official EA forums and ask for this feature to be implemented. The more people ask, the more likely they'd listen and add it.

Hi, this was captured on PC. Unfortunately, Battlefield doesn't have gyro support on PlayStation.
