Great work and tips, suggestions, and more Tom. HOWEVER, your buckets are round inside ... a circle ! Circles don't have corners ... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 maybe edges might be better.
Tom, great video! MOST contractors will not give up their trade secrets for fear of losing bids. Your company outperforms others in that market and that's what makes it ! Just askin tho ,....are the negatives made from spray foam insulation? Not that I'm making those molds, I'm too old to pour and finish concrete, but just wanna learn. AND definitely interested in the resolve of the small engine delema! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Happy New Year, may It bring prosperity,... Health and Happiness to yinz all.
Good video 😊 Nice mixture of projects 👍 I hope that table gets stained instead of painted personal preference. Thank you for sharing some of your knowledge. I'm looking forward to seeing the new projects that are coming in 2025.
check the valve clearance and the seats I think the intake valve is leaking causing back pressure from the compression stroke to push back into the carb
Blown head gasket will pressurize the the sump. See it more often on overhead valve Briggs and Scrap-em. Also your fuel filter is on backwards. If you want to see the debris in the filter, turn it around. The way you have it, the debris is inside the pleats.
Good morning Tom, check compression between this float and one of your other ones. My first thought is head gasket on this float. Second thought is checking OHV valves. Is one sticking or slightly damaged.
it might be a stretch, but try unscrewing the gas cap all the way loose but leave it on so if or when the motor starts gas doesn't splash out from the tank. The fuel tank has to be able to breathe or vent. Sometimes that is done with a vented gas cap. you have probably seen a plastic gas can that is left out in the sun that expands and builds up pressure within the tank. The pressure can push past the needle and seat flooding the carb and exiting from the breather. It can also go thru the oil breather tube into the crankcase and get gas mixed with the oil, which will ruin the motor. Pull out the dipstick and smell the oil. If it has a gas smell you need to flush out the crankcase and re fill with fresh oil. once you have the problem corrected, run it for a short time and then drain the oil and refill with fresh oil. I hope this helps. Like I said: might be a stretch, but easy to check.
I always set up feather boards both holding board down to bed and 1 holding against the fence. Personally I would try never to cut deeper than a 1/16" per pass. Sawblades are not designed to do this, but done slowly and lightly it works. I've made a number of cove moldings using this method. Just make sure you keep control of the board and be extremely careful. If you run a drill in reverse to countersink you have much more control. A drill run normally will grab and jump into your wood plus it will leave torn fibers on top. Just my opinion.
Tom I had the same problem on a newer machine. It was something to do with the governor, turned out to be internal and was easier to replace motor even though it was only a year old
@ I have the perfect solution for all your fixes. Go south and spend your days golfing and fishing in the winter and leave the fixes to the boys. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done, plus my kids want to see me more than ever.
Hi Mr Tom Great shop video! I won’t be giving you any suggestions on the trowel machine engine, would definitely hate it if you tried my suggestion and then really messed it up. I have no doubt that door is going to look amazing. Thank you Sir for all the creative content, enjoy watching it. I’m hoping nothing but great health, prosperity and close relationships in 2025 for you and your family, and team. From the Robles family.
Tom, if you’re going to use that trick on the table saw again, please at least use feather boards. A cabinet maker I know tried to show me that trick. Let’s just say It end up in an ambulance ride, 4 missing teeth, a broken jaw, a broken nose, a broken cheek bone, a broken eye socket and about 7 weeks on a liquid diet. There are router bits that do the same thing.
You'll stop dropping stuff the day it becomes too painful to bend over. And the next thing you'll learn is to see if there is anything else you can do while you're down there picking up what you dropped.
Remember kids. Three legs never wobble. Beautiful work.

I love the concrete videos but I also love shop season.
How do you make the inverse mold would like to make this just a little confused about how to get the mold?
GOOOOOD MORNING & HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!….

Hey Tom I’ve found it easier when using a drill bit to counter bore you have more depth control if you counter bore before drilling the hole
That is a good tip. I'm going to try that.
You sure do got a lot of buckets in your shop Tom.
👍 TOTEM POLE !!!!! There, I said it 😉

Tom, when setting up the fence to make cove cuts, you should have the fence on the back side of your cuts, to minimize kickbacks.

When do you anticipate being back out pouring concrete?
You have the fuel filter on backwords. Do not use the filter now. Change it and pit the tapered end toward the tank the you have the correct flow.

This time I got lucky it was such an easy fix

Thank you very much. I really appreciate that.
Nice table bottom and wood working skills you kinda remind me of Norm from the yankee work shop.
I appreciate the comparison!
Morning like watching your content because you have different things. But did you make the mold or buy it for the borders?
I made them using the same method
Two manny snow flakes in the 🌎today Tom if you no what I mean old school 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍
I’m a retired plaster have used a lot of smooth on products we get ours from Perma flex mold company in Columbus, Ohio
When you screw it in at an angle like that it's called a pocket screw.
Nice
My thought was to do a compression check.
Happy New year Tom. Get video on the edge liners. What product did you use to make your master? I made mine with concrete and they are super heavy.
I wounder if the intake valve is sticking open a bit. ????
What's in all the buckets?
Great video, how do you make the forms?
Do you make those molds from existing step liners?
Tom,where’s all the help from others already know the answer to many cooks in the kitchen will spoil the dish 👍😮😊❤

Exactly that was dangerous or he could have just ran it through straight and just moved the fence over little by little.
Oh boy, sorry to hear that
Tom you need to have good tidy up in workshops.
Once I get some of the maintenance, then I will
Vent hole in the gas cap maybe .
Very close I don’t wanna ruin it for you. Next video. Will bring it home.
Chickanic videos for small engine work.
She's pretty darn good 😅😅
