Tested out the Ganzo Survival Knife/Review, and it turned out to be a pretty good knife. Ganzo G801 Survival Knife is currently unavailable! Thanks for watching SUBSCRIBE!
I liked the test of throwing the knife, Im homeless and lost so much crap by stuff falling out of my back pack or having to repack everything, and move on, I personally wouldn't trust this knife but It is okay to get your self out of a survival situation that last a could of days, I never seen or held this knife, could be the best built knife in the world, but I doubt it.
come on you guys! give him a break. he's trying to show you you don't need an expensive knife to work with. I just watched a video of a guy pre ordering 600 $ knives ! for that price I'd be buying this k,ow and pay off my car
I'm so jealous of you living in a country where boys can be boys have knives and guns and not have to be worried of a member of public calling the police like in the nanny state UK.
That's punk wood Punk wood is wood that has been decayed for a long time that it no longer has the strength of wood AKA you can break it with own hands.
exactly..it was eaten by Borers a long time ago. Just fell apart under pressure. Poor wood test be it fresh green or dead wood minus the rot and Borers. .
Hey my friend, subscribing but just wanted to say I'd like to see you script what you are going to say for a more educated review. Great quality vids, good sound quality!
I'm surprised that it is still pretty decently sharp after you stick it in the sand. Usually knives just won't cut paper anymore after that happened. Very nice knife.
Ganzo? Even your link to Amazon says its a StatGear. Is that a sub-brand of Ganzo? It looks very much like the pictures I have seen of the Ganzo 801. I want to get one, but I am looking for one that is branded Ganzo just because I am a bit of a Ganzo collector.
Yeah for some reason that was the link it showed weird. I have one more of the same knife brand new, that I will be giving away with some other survival items...
Well it's a good thing I bought 2. I'm keeping the one I used for this video and going to be giving away the other one with some other stuff once I hit 1,000 subs!
The link you provided ends at a :StatGear 99416 Surviv-All Outdoor Knife with Firestarter, Sharpener & Cord Cutter nothing about Ganzo on that amazon page.
Yeah for some reason it showed that knife weird. Thank you for that, I took it down because that Ganzo knife is not available. I do have one brand new still in the box and will be giving that one away including some more survival items.
+samuel chauvette Neither this nor ANYTHING labelled Gerber or Bear Grylls. Becker Bk7 or Bk9.. Ontario Rat series. Even Gerbers latest offering in the same category sports inferior steel i.e 420. Save up a bit more since we are basing our category as SURVIVAL knife...i.e..something which WILL NOT FAIL YOU. or if budget is of major concern any of the proven Schrade 1095 steel series. Can't think of many other options on a budget. Best to spend a bit more...Ganzo make great copies and use 440c which is decent (20 years ago) but everything has gone so far beyond that in terms of knives we are now spoiled for choice. My personal choice for MINIMUM steel and heat treatment for a survival knife over the last 7 years of testing would be Becker Kabar 1095 and 5160, Esee ANYTHING it is always 1095 but done to perfection and on a budget Schrades offerings in 1075 (large choppers) or 1095 due to popular demand. We can get onto Bark River, Busse etc but then $$$. Schrade would win for me after being proven a lot in testing over Ganzo new attempt (untested in the field unless proof). or Gerber (constantly debunked in the field due to shit steel and/or heat treat and catering to the masses). Even the new Gerber LMF replacement is way behind with their shitty steel choice (420hc). I don't care what the 'Gaunlet' says they have their own vested interests and they get stuff for review ALL the time. The Chinese manufactuters are desperate for positive reviews...happens all the time.
I've been using this knife for several months. I think it is good for the price. Check out my first look and field use testing videos if you get a chance. Thanks for sharing.
mahatma gumbi they took it down so I couldn't share it... but you can search for it on Amazon. Sorry! If I ever find it again I will add it to the description.
Thanks for the review, but throwing down a dirt road is NOT the same as dropping it off a cliff. Practice before you film your video, they will improve. Watch out for the scorpions!
so u never purchase S&W , Cold Steel m-tech products etc. ,as you know lots of Usa's company goods produced in that red flag country. lol no need being racist buddy.Turks always fought China in history(last battle in 1950-53 Korea war/we push back them over 38. parallel)but We are still on the trade.
loved the test for if you fell off a cliff lmaooo okay ... i know what ya ment sorry had to give ya a little ribbing over that lol , seriously thinking of buying that knife thank you for review
I'd definitely buy that over the BG. Thank you for the video. I'm a new subscriber. I also do videos you may have time to check out. Just humble stuff - working on my delivery. Thanks, my friend, and greetings from Pittsburgh. Laura
Just a warning if you you order from Gearbest. After ordering they sent me a request for very sensitive documents (pictures of my credit card, my ID carde etc.) claiming it was for my "customer security" (wtf! right?). When I refused they cancelled my order (promising a refund in several weeks, early days so I dont know if I will get it). Then they asked my to place the order again. I have reported this to my bank and contacted authorities. Needless to say I will not shop there again.
whatbuttondoipush I'm a bit worried. I made 5 orders from geatbest last week, 4 orders they claim to have shipped. But the last one was "frozen" after they recieved payment. Thats when they sent the request for pictures of my credit card, ID and utility bills. I refused of course and they promised a refund. However just a few hours ago they changed the status of the order to "processing" again. Possibly they are trying to worm thier way out of the refund. This is the first time I shop from them and I havent recieved anything yet. If you do decide to shop there, make sure that you use paypal as an insurance for yourself. I made the misstake and I'm possibly down $40 or $250 depending on if they deliver my other items. I figured if I told enough people about this then gearbest would at least lose more money than me from bad publicity.
The channel I was referring to is dutch bushcraft knives. They had a link that i guess they got free stuff if people clicked on and purchased through that website. If I were you, I would report what is going on to your bank immediately!
whatbuttondoipush I already did. Strangely, they refunded the money and most of my other orders have arrived. However, this is after I threatened them.
The same cheep producer in China for Gerber and Ganzo. And testing a knife on rotten wood, really? Try a TRC knive, maybe K1 oder Apocalypse with Elmax or M390 steel. Or Lionsteel, Pohl Force and so on.
Man sorry worst review seen. No size, no weight, no blade grind, you throw it in to the dirt road to see if it breaks, no handle material info, no country of origin, keep trying,& good luck
Tell me you're not serious with this. You're not very familiar with good survival knives right? What was your purpose with this review because I did'nt get much from it. Think the knife is total crap and will let everyone know not to buy these pieces of crap. Please rethink your review subjects for the future.
Great review. I just purchased one a couple weeks ago. The Ganzo knives all appear to be well made for the price. Thanks for the review!
I liked the test of throwing the knife, Im homeless and lost so much crap by stuff falling out of my back pack or having to repack everything, and move on, I personally wouldn't trust this knife but It is okay to get your self out of a survival situation that last a could of days, I never seen or held this knife, could be the best built knife in the world, but I doubt it.

kinda looks like the first version of the Bear Grylls knife? (upside down fire starter, (bad idea), stone on back to keep the edge...?)
The blade steel is ok but that pommel is only attached with a spot weld. It broke on mine. Thanks for the review though!
great knife hollowpoint thanks for the video
Thank you!
Dude great video, but I didn't want to scare you, there's a scorpion on the back of your hat:)
Thanks for the review!
Sold out at at Amazon. A lot of other vendors use Amazon check out. Not paying an eBay premium, so no go.
Well it's a good thing I bought 2. I'm keeping the one I used for this video and going to be giving away the other one with some other stuff once I hit 1,000 subs!
Great give away. Always enjoy your videos.
+Paul Macaluso thanks I appreciate all of you guys!!!
I've never heard of this one, but seems like a decent knife, especially for the price.
Let me get this right .its supposed to get dull from dropping ?
The online store that has Ganzo is Gearbest. They also have Cima at a real good price.
I really think you should show the sharpness test first and test it ALOT more. A couple strikes on some dead wood doesn't show anything.
the but of the knife unscrews so you can take the knife apart for cleaning or making a custom handle
The link you provided ends at a :StatGear 99416 Surviv-All Outdoor Knife with Firestarter, Sharpener & Cord Cutter
nothing about Ganzo on that amazon page.

+HollowpointHP OK, thanks, I accept the giveaway. ;)
nice reveiw. looking for a new knife I'll keep an eye on your videos for reference
Ganzo make great EDC beater knives, but for a "bet your life" survival knife, I wouldn't use either this nor Edward Grylls knife.
Can I ask what would you use ?

What's your ring made of?
Wow great multi purpose knife
Yup and for the price you can beat that...
What is the steel ? I see 440 stainless, but is it 440A, 440B, or 440C ?
generally Ganzo used 440 stainless steel blades .this one 440c pocket knive www.gearbest.com/survival-emergency-gear/pp_185411.html

2:22 It is not full tang, it's a rat tail.
ogarzabello rat tail is a type of full tang, all full tang means is the metal goes all the way
cool
