To be honest, while I wholeheartedly respect and support sex workers, Twitch really isn't the place for that kind of content. The platform is so inconsistent when it comes to enforcing their ToS that it has become the personification of a child deciding if they wants pancakes or chicken nuggets for breakfast. A woman getting plowed on stream and only getting banned for a week is proof of that (completely forgot that happened). Another thing that I've noticed through this past little while (if I'm wrong, I'm wrong) is that Twitch seems to be so caught up in catering to almost everyone. But you know the old saying: when you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one. I'm sure they're doing their best, but they need to do (and be) better.

The people creating this content do not deserve to be constantly harassed and demonized, but there also needs to be a way to meaningfully separate adult content from regular stuff or create a different platform for it entirely. Twitch itself is certainly the main problem here, especially since the corporation is handling the situation terribly while also allowing this type of content to be easily shown to underage users or people who are made uncomfortable by it.
Hey just a correction on one of the facts of the vid: tumblr does not allow fully adult content. They have a similar "artistic nudity" policy, where illustrated nudity and pictures of nude sculptures are allowed, but photos of nudity are not. Tumblr enforces this policy a lot better though. You can still find adult content if you look hard enough, especially with people *promoting* adult content that they do on other sites, but Tumblr's "blocked tags" system allows those who don't wish to see that content to block any post that might contain it (that's what I do). They also automatically block any post flagged as explicit for any user that reports their age as less than 18. (Honestly I think twitch should do something similar to this.)
Honestly, this is why I just watch my favorite streamers’ VODs. I don’t wanna get flashed with a pair of barely covered chesticles while trying to watch a funny streamer go crazy over UNO or something.
Twitch has got to just gloss the mature stuff so it doesn't flash you on the reccomended page, be more consistent, and just permaban the OF girls. They have a point, but gaming the system makes everyone take the fallout. Also, they should just straight up tell people what they were banned for so there's no struggling to figure it out and so they can avoid the same action. It would be nice if they just created an entire category on the feed for this(like, "adults only" or whatever, one that would be invisible for ussers that have the birth date lower than 18 years ago, like, just to make sure no minor sees it) on it's own, but with the same restrictions as now(if not more), and below all the normal content the usser sees, and banned the ussers for more thab 3 days if they went too far instead of leaving them be with a pat on the back. Another option. Goddamn tags. Create a decent tagging system and allow viewers to blacklist tags. You don't want to see a particular type of content? Blacklist the Tag, assuming everyone is behaving responsibly (Heck Twitch can probably come up with rules forcing people with possibly inappropriate content to tag appropriately, to ensure it is followed in the most pressing cases), those who don't want to see it can easily remove it from their experience, and those who want to create and engage can still do so unimpeded. (Twitch can also probably auto-blacklist certain tags for Minor Accounts)

Hi Taledo, I stumbled across this video on my front page and I just wanted to say this was really well done, short and sweet and concise. I tried VTubing for a bit on Twitch a couple of years ago and just couldn't get into it. I didn't like the overall format and I never really use Twitch to begin with; I watch VODs on YT. And I didn't like the inconsistency with Twitch's s3xual content policies, especially as someone that is more modest and with a completely covered model. I'm not opposed to dirty jokes, but I felt more like I HAD to have that kind of appeal. Being a VTuber that livestreams on Twitch is just kind of the "done" thing unless you're part of Hololive or Nijisanji, so I followed along even though that didn't work well for my life, either. After this whole scandal broke out and continues to grow on Twitch, I did decide to transition to uploading pre-recorded let's plays on RUclips. I like my job, so no need to worry about reaching as many people as possible so I can be a full-time content creator. I just want to be able to have SOME interaction with people as I play games, even if that comes in the form of comments for an already recorded video. I kind of felt like I was the crazy one for disliking Twitch a couple years ago, so I feel a lot more confident and comfortable in utilizing RUclips instead now. Not that YT is the best website ever or anything, but I do feel it has less issues than Twitch overall (again, not a high bar to set, but it's there).

Technically even a short ban can have wide consequences. I'm pretty sure that when you are banned even if temporarily, your Twitch Subs with automatically renewing subscriptions won't have their subscriptions renew, which can lead to some issues. A 3 day ban means approximately 10% of your subs (with auto renew) will be lost, and a 10 day ban wll lead to 33% sub loss, and so on. So it's not just a break, depending on how long a temp ban you have a large chunk of your subs may be lost.
Tbh on twitch it’s like every creator has different rules they have to follow on twitch so that’s how some get favoritism and others don’t but this is just what I’m thinking

I'm about 5:40 into the video but mah boy here forgot the first occurrence of the titty streamers which that train wrecks clip comes from. A porn star called kaceytron was the top of the line of titty streamers during that wave and nobody and I mean NOBODY liked the titty streamers because the site litteraly turned into chatterbate.
But now we have chatterbate 3.0 with ammourant and morgs at the charge have absolutely nothing done to them
