Well! your videos sounds quite informative. Currently I am awaiting for my admission conformations from Finish Universities. Hope my dreams to study in Finland gets come true.
Terve, I will be coming alone for this autumn intake. I would like to know more details on how to travel from HEL airport to my apartment and from where can I buu furniture etc. Thank you
Hi, as for the practical details (furniture, accommodation etc.) we'd recommend you ask about these with your new Finnish home university, they usually can advise you best on the "local" matters! And the journey to your apartment - it depends of course *where* you'll be studying in Finland :) To start with, you can easily get to Helsinki centre (main railway station) by local train, they leave regularly from the HEL airport - from there onwards, it depends. Again you could ask your Finnish university :)
Hi. Thanks a lot for posting videos like this. Small concern. I'm planning to come to Hameenlinna (HAMK University). How about student apartments and part time jobs in that area? Thanks
Hi there, as these things are best known "locally" we'd advise you to contact the HAMK Admissions Services www.hamk.fi/admission-services/?lang=en - we're sure they can inform you of the locla student accommodation options and also they can tell you about how the UAS can assist in career/employment matters during and after your studies.
Thanks Dasha for your kind informations. I have been accepted in the University of Vassa for MBA for this upcoming autum intake .If you could provide me some links for finding jobs and rooms in Vassa city .plz
Hi there, this kind of "local" information you'd probably best get from the University of Vaasa (they can advise you on the local student accommodation and perhaps also on how & where to find info on loval work opportunities). They have also a lot of useful info on their website www.uwasa.fi/en/education/studying-and-living-finland
Hi, sorry we do not have a ready-made listing of the universities' GPA requirements - we'd suggest you check with those particular universities you'd be *interested* in studying at! Start by reading our "Five steps" at www.studyinfinland.fi/admissions - that will guide you forward! But as said the entry requirements you need to check with the uni offering the Master's you wish to apply to.
I am interested to study in Finland, please share with me how can I get credit transfer from another university to Finland university for bachelor program,
Hi Nitan, to find out if this kind of "transfer" option is possible, and what the conditions are - you'd need to contact the Admissions Services of the university of your choice in Finland; so you could start by finding a suitable degree programme. Check out the national database at www.studyinfo.fi
Hi there! Dentistry might be one of those subjects that would be only available in Finnish or Swedish, especially on undergraduate level.... but you can of course check at www.studyinfo.fi - you'll find the national database of all English-taught degree options there! Also see our general starter's advice at www.studyinfinland.fi
The fine arts universities that offer PhDs -like for example the University of the Arts Helsinki - might have such videos available, or at least you could check the PhD options on their website: www.uniarts.fi/en/doctoral-education/ :)
Hey, It's quite helpfull video. I'm Nayan Patel and I have been selected for Master in Global Business Manageement through separate application. I just want to get know which diffrent benifits I would get in finland in separate application program. Thanks in Advance
Hi there, and congrats for admission! Apart from the possible scholarship from the university (maybe you already applied for one), the benefits available for international students usually include those mentioned in the video - discounts available via your Finnish student card (discounts in student restaurants, public traffic, etc.) You'll also be able to use the student health services www.yths.fi/en/ Also ask about student housing options & other student services with your new Finnish home university.
Hi, some educaiton-related degree options may be available in English (you can search for them at the national database at www.studyinfo.fi) - however, it could be that early childhood education options would only be available in the local languages. But do check at Studyinfo.fi - also closer to the next main application periods, in case there are new options added later on this autumn.
Hi, many bachelor's have their application period annually in January, but there may be some exceptions; so it is a good idea to check the application details with the Admissions Services of the university you're interested in. See the starter's advice here: www.studyinfinland.fi/admissions/bachelors-and-masters-admissions
Hi, you can only start your student residence permit (="study visa") process after you have been officially admitted to university studies in Finland. And as for admissions, we strongly recommend you check for any possible agency options directly with the Admissions Services of the Finnish university you are interested in applying to (some unis may have official recruitment cooperation with agencies, but you need to check the validity of these with the university!) The universities' Admissions Services are your most reliable source for detailed admissions advice. So do start by carefully reading our advice at www.studyinfinland.fi/admissions/bachelors-and-masters-admissions
Hi, "Study in Finland" does not endorse the use of any third-party consultancies - each university in Finland has its own Admissions Services that can assist in detailed questions relating to applying. See list at www.studyinfinland.fi > Universities (the links there will take you to each university's Admissions Info pages where you'll also find the Admissions Services' contact details). First however please get familiar with the basics at www.studyinfinland.fi/admissions
Hi Rizwan, Finland is indeed quite different climate-wise from India! But with warm clothing, you should be all right. You might wish to have a look at this blog of the University of Turku (another HEI in that area), about the Finnish winter: blogit.utu.fi/studentlife/international-students-guide-surviving-winter-finland/
