Kristof Doms does it still run? I've heard the 1.4 has many engine problems. I also want to buy one but if its true that the engine is bad, ill take the more expensive 2.0
@@selfishear3618 Yeah mate still got the car, it’s good to be fair! only issues i’ve had with it in this 5 months is the idle control valve packed up so started misfiring when stationery but easy fix, car still runs nice and the powers there mines 102k on clock glad i got DSG tho,
i have a vw scirocco 1.4 tsi 160 hp i like how i drives it is very fast very good handling only problem with it is the comsuption can do better than 600km on one fuel tank around 55litres maybe it is the quality of the fuel...
Petar Slahov try a LPG conversion ...it saved me. i dont have a Rocco but a 2.4 rav4 petrol and that thing drinks fuel like water. 50lt €92 i got around 420km now with 50lt lpg i get 390 but only spend 48€ to fill up. hope i helped :) BTW im ditching the rav and getting a 1.4 rocco next winter cant wait
As far i'm informed the reasons why VW never released the Scirocco in the US was that they where afraid it would hurt the sales on the VW Golf mainly the GTI if you ask me that was the dumbest thing they did i am sure the Scirocco would have sold great in the US
Castortroy69 Peach I have my 1.4 (122hp) for four years, running it daily and absolutely no issue whatsoever so far. Really love it after all this time.
It's not an issue if you do the chain and tensioner at 60k miles when it's supposed to be changed or ideally a bit earlier. It's an issue if it goes, can take the engine with i but u might hear warning rattle first. Or engine light. Do not drive on either. Get it lifted and work done.

Turbo engine tend to get pretty bad fuel economy in real life. During testing they drive it without hitting boost.
I'm getting one in 2 Years🏁🔥
What did you get in the end ??
Just past my test and really want to buy one but the insurance will be sooo expensive :(

Benzin always better then Diesel
Does anyone know how to connect the bluetooth on a 1.4l .2009 I cant play music from my phone
I know this is an extremely late reply but your car probably doesn't have a modern bluetooth unit. Stuff like CarPlay won't work in older Sciroccos
Great car!!
Why the hell is this car not in North America?
cuz you only drive v8 petrols weighing 2.5 tonns
Not Mexico and there is a veo history about it

Get the 2.0 gt petrol is best the diesel is gutless and will leave u bored
avoid the 1.4. so many issues. chain and tensioner being the main one.

@@flooriiin mainly the 160hp has issues. 122hp is perfect
sers Contor can confirm: at 122,000 km had zero issues and runs so smooth. Still makes me smile after owning it for 6years.
The problems just begin after many and many kilometers or it doesnt begin at all.
