      As a Chevy service advisor, I’ve yet to have a 2.7 in for mechanical repair. The 8 speed suffers from torque shutter on the earlier models. A fluid exchange helps 90% of the time. I’m not sure if Chevy has done something different with the new 8 speeds.

    I left out this video as my last resort coffee time watch thinking it's gonna be boring because I had no idea you did some slight offroad here and well, I'm glad I came back to it a week later, I enjoyed every second of it.
    I genuinely think I might be transforming into a truckfuck, I love those things. This one is above average looking on the outside and on the inside? Absolute beauty, I love the colours picked in this config. Steering wheel looks extra comfy, just a little too short on buttons but glad majority is still here. Really nice side mirrors shape. The only thing that doesn't excite me is the engine, might appear more exciting if I actually owned it and another V8/V6 truck though.
    Really cool shoot location, I love spring because of all the green and lime colours everywhere and that's a place that just pops with vibrant green shades.
    Please, if you do some more offroad in trucks, show us the aftermath. I love seeing vehicles made for car shows shiny and ones made for dirty job being dirty, there's just something very pleasuring about seeing all the dirt on a car after driving it on a muddy road, watching the wet dirt being picked up and building up a nasty coat on the boot and rear window when driving on wet roads and a snow or dust cloud raising behind you as you plow through snow/gravel, whether it's straight forward or sideways. :)

    Got a 22 sierra with the 2.7T H/O and it does definitely do the job. I also own a 23 with the tried and true 5.3 and now having driven both. The power is there in both it just feels like the turbo tries harder and the v8 is holding back until you need it.

      Midsize trucks these days have the same cabin a 4 door half ton had in the 2000s. You’re missing a little shoulder room, some leg room in the back seat and console/storage space.
      I own a large solar company and could buy whatever vehicle I want as a daily
      I am 100% buying one of these or the new ranger, unless somehow toyota managed to fix the seating position in the tacoma and really wows with the interior and powertrain, which I doubt.
      Midsize trucks are far easier to fit on tight streets, park, more nimble, less drag and now obviously just as well appointed as their big bros.
      I have a fleet of current gen rangers, some frontiers and some tacomas. Both have been bulletproof but the ranger is better in every measurable way. It also feels the most truck like.

    • @AdventureswithaaronB
      @AdventureswithaaronB Год назад

      @@mattbrew11 thank you for the response, coming from a scion XP and looking at this, I’m saying like this is plenty of truck for me. I work hard, so I really don’t mind spending the money for the extra comfort trim. I really would want to go with the Tacoma but the interior is so outdated it’s a joke, test drove one the other day, I would’ve thought it was a 2015. I’m not a fan of the dial on the Ranger to put it into drive or park, What do you think about the price of this, everyone is always talking about how expensive it is but I just don’t understand the point of complaining, like you’re getting a fully maxed out comfortable truck so for all the people saying that an F150 cost this much but that’s like an XL

    • @mattbrew11
      @mattbrew11 Год назад +1

      @@AdventureswithaaronB so on the brand new ranger they changed to a shifter very much like the one in this gmc but they kept a keyed ignition except for the Lariat and Raptor Trims.
      As far as the cost, I along with everyone else would prefer it be less, especially when it ordering fleet volume but thats just not the world we live in. Me personally, I think AT4 trim delivers the most value for my dollar. Im not big on chrome so id either do that or jump up all the way to the AT4X. At that trim though, the raptor undercuts it in price and has way more power and the raptor lineage.
      So for me, id be weighing the Rangor Lariat with the 2.7L engine vs this trim or whatever you like as thats the most apples to apples.
      Best of luck!

      @@largol33t1 lol The haven't been compact trucks for a while, and they just got even a biggger. The ol S10 looks like a Miata next to one of these new "midsize " trucks.

      @@artagain8977whelp that’s markets for you. A new Sierra Denali would be $80k+. My new 2022 civic was $29k. Car prices are up and it’s just the new normal.
