Nice set other than the pouch it will eventually get messed up taking putting them back in. A company like PB Swiss should have known better. Thanks Doc
I have a set with double ended blades like that from Teng Tools. It's nifty, but if you need to work with more than one size of screw, e.g. T6 and T8 on pocket knives, that involves a lot of tedious swapping the blades back and forth.
Hello again, Doc Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I usually don’t have much of a need for precision screwdrivers. Although, I would like to give PB Swiss screwdrivers a try. My needs are Phillips #'s 1, mostly #2, and rarely #3. Again thank you 👌
I have the same set part of a larger interchangeable blades set. The bits are extraordinary. The plastic handle is disappointing. Bits can be used with Klein 32327 / Klein 32328 3.5mm bit holder if you don't mind the slight wobble. I think the best replacement option for the handle is a large pin vise. Something like the starrett 162D .115-.187" (2.9-4.8mm)
I have a similar kit in the PB Swiss PB 8515 Allrounder which has 8 shafts and is nested into the larger screwdriver kit. I swapped the Swiss grip handle on the larger set for the celuose acetate one as I prefer it and it allows it to close easier. Then I bought the gold plated 145th anniversary set. They are both nice, but they are collector ones I don’t use them. 😂
I have these as part of larger set with large handle and bits scredriver. Not my favorite Precision Screwdriver, the fact that it pushes down bothers me ( I think they should have made some indentations to lock it in several positions), I prefer much more my Wera electrostatic Precision Screwdriver Set with interchangeable bits.
I had the exact issue when I first bought it. The bits slide in once you apply a bit of force. But over time the locking mechanism became more stiff and no longer slipping. Probably due to some debris stuck inside the handle 😂
Onyx makes a tool using the same type of bit blades that retains the blades on the tool itself for storage. I find it handy. They call it the 12 in 1 air/surface hex wrench kit. Update, the Onyx tools blades are a little shorter and slightly bigger in diameter.
Doc maybe what would work great with your idea is a micro wrench. So you'd have a set of such slim long handle-less "bits", and a micro wrench for their size just for breaking. Without any fancy features like knurling, ratcheting, or anything like that it should be a fairly cheap thing to manufacture. As long as you can find a supplier of 4mm wrenches.
They may not do many tiny precision sizes, but otherwise Chapman figured out exactly what you're talking about back in 1936. Their bits with the built in finger turn are the greatest thing since sliced bread.
eh... got my Wiha 4mm Bit Kit and that was a bit $$ those spinners are hit & miss on Whia as well don't know if I should get the 711L 4mm Ratchet 711L are really good
ESD safe screwdrivers are only truly needed in very rare cases and in highly specialized fields. There have been some great experiments done on youtube of people trying on purpose to damage electronics with huge amounts of static electricity. It just does nothing....
They have the same kit with an ESD holder (yellow instead of red). However you don't need az ESD screwdriver for everything. The Wera drivers are also not ESD, those are yellow.

Thanks Doc, great review. I'll stick with my 711L Lollipop. The spin top is perfection.
Love my 711L
The employee lifestyle make the selling price rocketing 😂😂
I use this bad boys for about 15 years, PB swiss, they are always with me in my bag….recommend

The Wiha Drive Loc system IV and System VI is an outstanding product.

Nice set have you tried the Wiha System 4 Drive Loc set, an outstanding screwdriver system.

oh guess what you have a video about a 4mm wrench, and now that I think about it i have a few old two-size similar to the ones you have
A great comparison of precision drivers is a video from Bzeug "Teardown of Precision Drivers" he compares like 12 high quality precision drivers
Does it bug you too that snap on's lil bit drivers dont go down to T6 in their little pouch sets?

711L are really good
does that handle smell like vanilla as well like the others the same color?
Have you tried out the PB 225 ?
Precision screwdriver without an esd safe handle is like ordering a burrito without a tortilla
not every little screw is used for electronic stuff. ESD for where it's needed, non-ESD for everything else. 😉👆
Naked burritos are a thing. Fewer carbs.

That case bothers me
handle looks cheap for that price. hard pass
Nah, the Vanilla?
Looks? So you’re saying you really have no objective data how sturdy the handle actually is. What brand of impact microscrewdrivers do you own?
Looks cheap but probably feels good
$70? Pass. My Klein is just fine.
