Hi Page! Here is my tip: Grab yourself some super stretch needles instead of ball point/jersey needles for jerseys/knits. The same thing use to happen to me when I was using the ball point ones, now I mostly use super stretch needles for knits and the skipping doesn’t ever occur. I rarely use the jersey needles, only for knits with VERY minimal stretch (think a knit wool coating). There’s times when I may only have a jersey needle, so I give them an extra chance to prove themselves right, but honestly every single time there’s a point where stitches are being skipped. Hope these also solve your skipped stitches, I’ve been there and thus I know how frustrating it makes sewing with knits. Keep making things & greetings to you!

@@paigejoannaa I’m so glad, crossing fingers it works the same for you and your machine! Btw, I have experience using the organ needles (super stretch), but I’ve seen Schmetz has them too by the same name. Best of luck, and if it works you’ll never look back on the ball point for jerseys, you’ll see 😊

I bought a walking foot. Really worth the investment. No issues on stretch fabric.

Gorgeous. It really suits you! Have you tried using a different brand of needles to overcome the skipping issue? Maybe Schmetz? Your machine might prefer them. x

@@paigejoannaa I have that machine and I use Schmetz or Janome needles and stretch or super stretch and I have no problems at all xx
Increase your pressure foot tension. My machine advised number 3. Worth a try.
Have you tried the stretch needles. I use them and they work like a charm.
Definitely going to use them next time :)
Mine only stops skipping on Terry, or any stretch jersey, when I put a walking foot on, needles don’t seem to change anything.

I’m such a Tilly fangirl billie is on my list as I’m a sweatshirt fan if we can get my studio finished I’m setting the sewing machine up! (It’s not mine *cough*)
To avoid skipping stitches on jersey get a walking foot.
also try a bigger needle or higher quality thread
Only saw half the pockets
I showed most of the pocket the only bit I moved from was attaching the other pocket together, apologies for that my camera battery went at this point and felt like it still made sense when watching. Sorry if you didn’t think so but will note for next time.
