The party talks about the cave being evil but Atton and Hanharr are like. 'Oh no cave stinky :('
Perhaps because Atton and Hanharr are the two that have regularly used that evil presence for camouflage in the past?
@@tripleoo0 Hold on now, Atton didn't use the dark side for camouflage. He used his mind.
By spamming mind pazaak, no less.
@@PapitoQinn Well Atton for the longest time was embeded in the darkside by saturation of will and intent so the dark side energy in the cave might not feel so foreign to him
Stinky is an evil of its own 😆
Easily one of my favorite parts of KOTOR2
Loved Korriban so much, but my favorite part on the planet is when you enter into Ludo Kressh's tomb and you're confronted by Malak and the choice to join the Mandalorian Wars. Chills, man.
That'll be the next video. But with all the dialogue options shown.
Staaaaaatemeeeeeent: Aaaaaaapathy is deeeeeeeeeath.
@@PapitoQinn
Very excited for that 🔥👍
Yeah that was a truly beautiful and haunting scene. I loved the whole tomb and retracing the choices of the past
"Yes a great powerful stench." - Atton Rand
I like how the dark side is so strong in the cave that even Mandalore can feel it and recognize it.
I wish someone made an Episode V reference:
Exile: _"What's in there?"_
Kreia: _"Only what you take with you"_
If only.
Canderous notes the feeling of the darkside... interesting....
Considering all of the things he experienced in kotor 1 its not unsurprising even a non force sensitive can start to understand and be able to recognize the force and the dark side of it
He also felt the same way back on Korriban circa 3956 BBY. You know things are all too wrong when the second best Mandalorian just doesn't like a dark place.
That moment your enjoying playing as a grey jedi until you realize you can't enter the tomb of luddo Kresh because your not dark or light enough. 🤦♂️
I really hated how much kotor forced you down one line or the other. In kotor 1 you couldn't get revans or star forge robes without being max light/dark side :c
It kills any rp aspect too because you're forced into either being super good or running around being a force choking murder hobo. So you can't project what you want for your character to be without being screwed by the mechanics
@@Jwine95
In kotOR 1 it isn't much of a problem - some items being alignment restricted (which in-universe are only be made at that point based off your character's alignment) makes sense. Everywhere else, your alignment means beat-all; only your decisions change how things progress and whether or not you can do "x" or "y" thing.
KotOR 2 was a bit different, because actual paths became blocked based off choices that had unrealistic limitations (namely dealing with Kavar), or due to raw alignment (the Korriban Tomb being the only example off the top of my head). Considering it is quite an important plot point, it would make more sense for it to be based off character level or max force points, rather than alignment.
@@DBArtsCreators I wouldn't say the Kavar situation is unrealistic. It isn't about the Exile, it's about Kavar and his character dictates that he would stick by the Queen no matter what. As for the tomb, it's completely skippable.
@@PapitoQinn
* (Kavar): I wouldn't say his character is accurate; were he the type to always stick by the Queen, rather than his principles, he wouldn't have let himself be separated from her (nor would he have been sticking to one area rather than trying to get back to her if/once separated). Why I call it unrealistic, however, is because you have no way to talk down Kavar (nor any way to keep the Queen alive while deposing her), even though he shows that he puts his principles over what he personally thinks is right (shown during the Exile's trial, and again at the Enclave).
* (Tomb): It's "skippable" only in a technical sense (you can complete the game without going there). However, the game's narrative is incomplete if you don't go there, as that is where two major background events for the Exile can be dealt with (how she first got involved in the war, and a summary of the trauma & decisions she had to make during said war). As such, I'd call it disingenuous to call it skippable.
1 of the defining moments of the game & my personal favourite. Confronting one's past & coming to terms with your actions really opened my eyes not just in-game but outside of it too.
Thanks for this one. Not gonna lie, Atton's snark just about kills me every time.
Man, thanks for making these different vids with party reactions. Lets us know about different dialogue options that we may have not heard before
It’s interesting that you can’t enter the tomb if you aren’t strongly dark or lightside considering Kreia only talks about strength for entering the tomb. Also your saves are lowered on Korriban as a light sider while they are unaffected if you are neutral, so you’d think a neutral force user would have an easier time entering the tomb
Interesting.
I remember going through the cave as a light side consular and my force points wouldnt regenerate, could never tell if it was a bug or a game mechanic
@@mthaygood3334 It’s definitely a game mechanic. All of your saves also drop by like 50. They wanted to make Korriban much more difficult for light side Jedi
@@tristanbrowning4042 That's really neat, thanks, and it definitely worked lol. I remember struggling to fight through that tomb while rationing my force usage. Really appreciate the attention to detail in this game
@@PapitoQinn To be specific, it varies - in the cave, anyone with alignment above 60 suffers a -25 penalty to saves, and alignment under 40 gains a 25 bonus to saves. Within the tomb itself, however, the effects are way more extreme. Light side characters suffer -100 to all saves and do not regenerate Force points, and all powers (regardless of alignment) cost 5 Force points more to cast. Dark side characters (including the visions!) gain +60 to all saves, regenerate Force points at *double* the normal rate, and all powers cost 5 Force points fewer to cast
Don't know if going that specific into the mechanics of the cave/tomb is that interesting, but it's a really good way of Obsidian showing the corrupting influence of the dark side and how difficult it is to remain on the light when the dark side is *so* easy in comparison
“Ugh, what’s that stench?” Lulllz!!
I love Kreia!
Thank you for continuing to make content
Thank you for continuing to watch it.
Love this edit thank you sir!
You're welcome, Vincent. Thank you for watching!
As a full Jedi, I felt only darkness within the caves of Korriban. Inside one I discovered something... something that haunts me to this day. On that day I felt the Dark Side seep deeper into my soul than my entire family of Sith and Gray Jedi. I have never spoken to any of what I felt inside...and I never will. - Unknown Jedi Knight
Best way to level up 🤣
"I fight for the Sith Empire, Naga Sadow... *you* fight for yourself!"
Still remember those words from the half-Sith hybrid who caused the near destruction of Naga Sadow's Sith forces... pity "RAMMING SPEED" was a thing in Star Wars.
Thanks for the kotor videos! It's really brought back a big spark of interest and I've really been wanting to replay it. If you ever want to play apex legends with a top ranked player hit me up :) [I've seen you post a cod video so I know you play some first person shooters] 😉
You're welcome. Thanks for watching. I love video games, first person shooters included. I don't play Apex though.
Quick correction. You misspelled the title. It's "Ludo" not "Luddo."
Yeah I did. Thanks for catching that. I fixed it now.
@@PapitoQinn No problem my dude.
Off-topic, but I always associate the name with people with surnames like Avarius and Bagman.
This game was such a half baked masterpiece
It's pretty complete now thankfully. With the Aspyr patch and Restored content mod.
Is there a way to side with the “dark side” faction on planets but still spare the Jedi masters?
You can with all except for Onderon. I made a video showing how to do it on Dantooine.
@@PapitoQinn that’s annoying lol. Thanks
Mical i never wanted you to go to korriban...i love you and would have done it myself to protect my husband and child...she was jealous of us it had to be done...papatia quinn/wanda
That’s not Ludo Kresh’s tomb.
What do you mean?
@@PapitoQinn Didn’t the test in the Sith Academy imply he was not buried on Korriban?
@@ilovemuslimfood666 Spoilers, but the test question in the Sith Academy was referring to Freedon Nadd, who’s tomb you enter when you return to Dxun and end the Civil War on Onderon.
I just finished Korriban on a new light side play through today
And how did the tomb effect your force powers? Did you walk out more on he dark side?
@@PapitoQinn No, I depends on what dial choices you pick during the visions. One thing that is different is that your fp doesn’t regenerate as normal; only after each vision.
Female exile is cringe Papito, CRINGE!
