A big reason for these "insane" prices in the first place is Riot's generosity-- the vast majority of skins you can get for free just by playing the game. For whales to want something, some degree of exclusivity is required. It's expensive and limited edition, so whales will absolutely buy it. And the majority of the player base doesn't buy shit, so it doesn't matter.
Unfortunately you strongly underrestimate the "power" of whales. Stuff like this sucks, but is very worth it for a company. Just look at gacha games or korean mmos (like lost ark) that are exclusively carried by whales

This is such a giant middle finger to the community. The hall of legends is supposed to be to honor player , this feels like another cashgrab to massively please their investors. It is an insane skin. A tier above the likes of elementalist lux for example. But then price it as such. Those skins are 3250. Make this skin like 5000 because it has finishes, special va's etc.

Everyone knows Faker doesn't even use skins. Most people know by now that buying skins puts you in losers queue.
This is one of the most blatant examples of modern Riot’s greed that I think we’ve ever seen.
Four or five years ago, this would have been a one off legendary skin that at MOST would cost ~500 RP more than a regular one. Now, they’re using a ‘tribute’ to a famous pro player as an excuse to charge hundreds of dollars for slight variations of the same skin.
It’s blatantly despicable greed, and a disgrace to the player that it’s supposed to tribute.
I genuinely hope that a lot of people don’t buy it. If a large population does, Riot would think that the skin is still profitable and will continue to either maintain the hall of fame skin prices or boost the price of regular skins alongside the hall of fame skins. I can def see a top tier skin worth $1k within the next five years

Cuz all 3 of her forms are pretty decent, they have different splash art, model, vfx, sfx and animations in each form. The only let down that she can not transform in-game but that's pretty it.

In the past, Riot would gladly give the base version his wings, but since they had to justify the $200 price, they stripped the base version of some cool animations. The basic Ahri bundle shouldn't be over 4000 RP... thats just a half assed watered down Ahri skin, its kind of shitty to sell for 4k rp such a watered down skin (its not terrible though, I see people paying around 1820 rp for it since it barely has legendary quality)
The 30k bundle for the "ultimate" skin is just way too expensive. The "ultimate skin" is actually really good, sadly its as much as an ultimate as Samira's (or older legendary skins like WB Diana, BQ Kat or Empyrean pyke).... I would see people buying the bundle realistically for around 7500-8k RP (you get the battle pass with LB for 2000, the ahri basic skin for 2000 and the upgraded one for 3500-4000, which seems somewhat fair but expensive)
As for the signature bundle.... Its kind of dumb to sell a pass you have to complete that is already completed, it totally defeats the purpose of in game battle pass... "selling" progress in pass bundles is a scumbag move across all video game platforms
For the title, a couple of pretty faker signatures here and there, four chromas and the "faker shhh alt f5 emote" paying around 2000-2500 rp would be a somewhat fair price for something commemorative (here's an idea, also offer a future chroma for the upcoming oriana 2023 esports faker champion skin as soon as it releases, this way the bundle for 2500 wouldn't be insane)

1) 1950 Rp for the basic pass + LB & 125 Mythic Essence = 100% a fair price (around 15-20$)
2) 6k RP for the watered down Ahri skin is expensive and 4000 would be a fair price on top of the bundle above (around 35$)
3) 30k RP for an "ultimate" skin is straight up insane, which means 7500-8000 RP would be a fair price on top of the bundles above (around 70$, its still very expensive for cosmetics in a f2p game)
4) The extra commemorative bundle for 30k RP above the already insane 30k price bunde is straight up stupid. The "fair price" I calculated would be around 2000-2500 more RP, which leads the final "fair price" at around 9500-10,500 RP (or meet in the middle for 10k).... Which is around 100$, an expensive price to pay that I assume many fans of faker would be willing to pay to both support the player and own content that the player's most loyal fans would appreciate
Hit me up Riot and fire your incompetent marketing/sales team, they should have been laid off with the massive firings earlier this year... I'm 100% certain that if the model I proposed is applied the sales will be exponentionally bigger (on an unlimited digital product) than the few whales that will buy them because of the outrageous prices

1) 1950 rp for bundle 1 = fair pricing, bravo (300 rp above the normal pass, but has a bit of more value)
2) 6k rp for bungle 2 = 2k rp apart from a fair price for watered down content (15-20$ overcharge)
3) 30k for bundle 3 = 22,500 ish rp apart from a fair price (200$ ish overcharge)
4) 60k for bundle 4 = 50k ish apart from a fair price (250$ish overcharge)
So yeah... would you rather overcharge your clients, making them feel bad with their purchases (for those who will buy them, most of these people aren't necessarily rich but most of the times they are financially irresponsible people) or would you rather actually have good sales numbers (and satisfied clients)?
Overall they'd probably make more money with your idea cuz barely anyone will spend over 200 dollars for one skin...
