I used to type '60's style vintage dress' into ebay and scroll for ages but once I discovered terms like psychedelic, mod, and scooter dress I was able to find exactly the kind of style I liked. With the last psychedelic print dress I bought on ebay, I messaged the seller to say thank you and tell her how much I loved the dress, she sent a lovely reply saying she had difficulty parting with it and was so glad it had went to someone who would appreciate it 🥰🥰🥰
I'm going through a psychedelia phase right now lol. I love that you connected Art Nouveau with Psychedelia because Art Nouveau has been what I've been obsessed with lately as well.
My bandmates and I went from Surf sound to Garage and then to Psychedelic sound. We combined elements of the aforementioned musical forms. Things started to change musically for me in 1965 with Dylan and The Byrds. "Revolution" by The Beatles in 1966 was a watershed LP. George Harrison's sitar-laced "Tomorrow Never Knows" was my first love affair with Psychedelia. I didn't ingest psychotropic drugs. I only smoked grass only once (in 1966). I didn't need drugs to get my head "right." The Psychedelic music and art was the flight reaction for me. Peter Max created some great artwork, as well. Peter got his inspiration for his use of colour from Chinese folk art. Victor Moroso's use of blue and orange in his artwork did the thing for me. Artists such as Stanley Mouse and Rick Griffin created some very iconic album cover art. Emma Rosa Katharina, you did a great job on this video. "Dance The Night Away" (Cream) is my Psychedelic tune of choice. Peace, love, joy, and hope be your journey.
"Remember what the dormouse said, feed your head" 🐇⏰🎩☕️ I love, love, LOVE these context-related videos! Grab pen and paper, dolls! It’s time for Ms. Emma’s class! ✍️🤓
Oh thank you so much Karen! I graduated with history, A-levels so it means a lot that I can share my passion with others and make it interesting for you 💌
My favorite episode ever!!!! I love this kind of fashion and music too, it's my style..... You rock it Emma!!! Thank you so much for information about this trend of the 60s... ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ I can't wait for the next episode of the series.... A lot of love Emma ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I have learned so much from you over these last few years! I cant imagine how much time you spent researching but I know I appreciate it very much Emma!
Psychedelic music and fashion just make love the 60's more Honestly the Peacock revolution style is a great sub culture of Psych and this style reminds me very much of mid sixties Brian Jones 🦚
Full out hippie is the best! I am so inlove with that style and I am slowly making my closet and style into it. Currently wearing olf clothes till they are unwearable anymore.
My RUclips screen name, and associated blog pages on social media, are a play on the name of the shop “Granny takes a trip”, so I was happy to see that shop featured in this video. My name is Journey and I’m a New Age Traveller from Britain. I live in a self-converted house-truck and dress in psychedelic late 60’s and 70’s inspired outfits, so the “takes a trip” part of my name is doubly meaningful in terms of my life on the road, and the LSD inspired clothing I wear and interior design style of my living spaces.
Wonderwall ❤ all time favourites: Dragonfly - Celestial Empire (Dutch) Band mit grandiosem Video auf RUclips Wimple Winch - save my soul Aphrodites Child - Magic Mirror Chris Farlowe - Moanin' The Dragons - Hearttransplantation (German Psych aus dem Sauerland😉)
Thank you , your knowledge is very good , however may I suggest the movie 1969 staring a young Kiefer Sutherland & Winona Ryder . This movie tells of the darker side , albeit , in a softer way . "With death so close , all one can do is laugh" . , take care , Dreamer
You‘re so beautiful Emma🥰 If your first language isn‘t English, is it German? You pronounce German pretty accurate, that‘s why I‘m asking😂🥰 btw I love your videos, its great to know that I‘m not alone being a crazy 60s enthusiast😂😂
Hello sweetie. I am 73. Grew up in the 60's, graduated high school in 1969. You might want to talk to some of us who actually lived this. I never wore anything except bell-bottoms and t-shirts, yes, maybe some paisley in there. Took more than my share of LSD....Ozzlie Orange Sunshine, Purple Haze. Was lucky enough to see most of the music legends, live. May $5 a ticket, Jimi, Janis, Doors, Moody Blues, Who, Cream, Airplane, Zeppelin, Stones, etc. etc. etc. Plenty of protests and lots of free love. However, I never did stick any glittery stuff on my face or even wear make-up.
