Almost every final fantasy game has their own unique race in them, and it's what makes them special just being within the setting of their one game, like the cetra, ronso, qu, red xiii's race, espers, Tarutaru. They stand out being within their games setting.
If you equip enough status guard stones this guy is a real pushover. I had clear headed and antibody on all characters and loudmouth for Quina ' Garner and Ieko. Zidane did not need bright eyes cause I had thievery at max so I didn't attack physicly.. With auto haste and auto regan on my party healed faster then this guy could ever damage me. It's his status effects that can make this battle hard but if you can counter those annoyances he is easy.
The Qu is one of the franchise's most interesting races. Wish we got to see them more than just this game.

When I think a lot of aobut it, Quina will be refered at "they/them" in the modern remake =-]
