Fun Fact: Araki has stated that theoretically Kars could just make his own stand should he come across a stand user.
As much as I stress that whatever araki says is canon every now and then mainly in interviews and breif comments made by araki...he messes up. If kars could give himself a stand or had the potential for one he would have sensed a dorment hermit purple on joesph.
araki made a comment saying that if the crusaders were to go back in part 2 and look at joesph they would see a dormant hermit purple wrapped around him.
If kars could just give himself a stand he would have in part 2. He didn't because he lacked the potential and the only way to get the potential/awaken a stand is by coming in contact with the meteorite. The meteroite originated obivisouly from space outside of earths own ecosytem so kars couldnt replicate the virus inside that awakens stands.
If you argue that kars could just replicate it that just woulndt make sense as that would make kars capable replicating alien life that we don't know about. It makes ultimate kars way too op.
The whole reason of shooting him into space was because kars masterted the earth but space was outside of his control.

@@MagillanicaLouM That's not how it works. I am not gonna write about all the what if's of what kars stand would be should he get one. The whole reason why araki wrote the lore on the arrows and meteor is to explain why some people have stands and why some don't. As I said before Araki isn't perfect and sometimes he makes mistakes mainly in these interviews and brief comments he makes on the series. Just look at the stand stats for part 3...they make no sense. Araki included stand stats for part 3 long after he wrote it. The reason that some many of the stats are wrong is because he wrote part 3 so long ago he doesn't remember every little detail.
Biggest example of this is The World stand stats. In the beginning of the fight its made clear that the World is Stronger and faster than star platnium...at the very least on the same tier with him. Yet you go to his stats and he has alot of B's, but when you look at Star Platnium he has an A in almost everything. That obviously makes no sense.
What I am getting at is that Araki isn't perfect, mainly when he makes comments on work he did awhile ago. If Kars had acecess to a stand he would have given himself one he. His 400IQ probably also would have helped him realize he could awake a greater power within himself. He would have at the very least sensed joesphs dorment hermit purple. I shall also say again I am a believer that kars couldnt' give himself a stand despite arakis brief comment that he probably didn't put any thought into at the time espically if it was a quick question during an interview or a quick sentence in a enclopedia he wrote or something.
The only way to gain a stand is through the arrow or meteor or if someone in your bloodline had ecountered these things in the past. The meteor isn't a part of earths ecosystem the virus is an alien so kars can't replicate it. If he could that breaks the lore and essentialy makes kars way too OP.
If arakis comments didn't conflict with eachother maybe their can be argument that he could but since they do and create continiuty error in the series. You have to take comments like this from araki has mistakes and they should be disregarded. Araki is far more careful in his writing when he actually writes the manga as I'm sure he has a rule book next to him at all times to make sure whatever he puts on the page doesn't break the continutiy of the series as a whole. Which is why you won't find almost any mistakes in the manga itself.

First of all, while yes there was an interview a few years back where Araki said the crusaders would see a dormant hermit purple, it is likely that hamon is what would cause them to see something resembling hermit purple.
Take for example ball breaker. A stand that fully manifested when Gyro perfected his spin. Sure you could say that spin works differently than hamon, but I personally believe Araki intended spin to function fundamentally similar to hamon and how it relates to stands given how spin was slightly inspired by hamon.
Second, the reason Kars was flung into space was not because he mastered everything on Earth. It was because he would freeze and be permanently trapped in space with no way to come back to Earth.
Thirdly Kars couldn't have gave himself a stand in part 2 not because of his potential, but because of the fact that he did not know what a stand was. It would be *impossible* for him to awaken something he had no idea existed. It was also *never* stated that Kars couldn't replicate alien life. I get why you'd think Kars can't replicate the alien virus considering we've never seen him pull off a feat like that, but there's zero evidence that suggests he can't do it.

Speaking of Kars getting a stand and it being instantly turned into a requiem stand, while it's very likely not canon material, there's a light novel called Jorge Joestar that goes over him doing JUST THAT.
In the shortest, dumbest way I can describe it: Whenever Kars is introduced to a stand in this novel, he thinks "Well, that's inefficient. I could do that much better" and then just makes his own version of the stand.

Kars had to sleep for decades to centuries, so his knowledge was more vast then the majority of mankind, it was only new things that he didn't have knowledge of but he would have gotten the hang of it in the matter of minutes.

No matter how much JoJo I read and watch Kars is always in the back of my mind. I remember when I first saw him reach perfect form thinking "this is it, humanity is over." Stands work because from a writer pov, no matter how strong one is there can always be a counter.

I always think kars most underrated ability is his enhanced intelligence. like he has an impossibly high iq of 400, meaning he should in theory be able to out think any character, like even a faster stronger character could probably still loose to kars because of him being able to use his environment and tools in a far superior way. really only lost to joseph because of fate.

@@mrk5216 yeah thats why I think in a lot of matchups he should theoretically win, and probably oversight on araki, but how Kars lost shouldnt probably have happened, as their are species that can survive space and also be resistant to freezing cold temperatures like space. guess its possible even with his ability and intelligence he didnt know about them yet and he was new to his ultimate ability.

Now that you bring up what the pillar men are capable of and where their power comes from, there’s actually a handful of stands that come to mind that would hard counter them (though I can’t think of more than like 3-4 atm) and that’s personally super cool to think about. Awesome vid once again

But the ones that come to mind are stands which can completely negate and overpower the pillar men’s regen and body manipulation: Magicians Red can not only burn away the oxygen in an area but near instantly incinerate steel and other inorganic material, Yellow Temperance can straight up digest them, Purple Haze would work on base form pillar men(idk abt ultimate Kars tho), Ratt is in a similar gray area to PH along with White Album & Highway Star, Killer Queens primary bomb is capable of completely and instantly destroying someone, Notorious B.I.G. is another that I can’t see a pillar man beating, Green Day could at least negate their instant healing, they can’t approach Green Green Grass of Home, and Scary Monsters is a hard maybe. These are the ones I’ve been able to think of which I think have either a really good win rate or an arguable chance at beating the pillar men. Of course with a smart enough user I think most of these stands are easy wins against the pillar men

If you want Kars on crack he's on mars and his FIRST stand is Killer Queen. I know the George Joestar novel isn't canon but like Ssj4 it exists It's not a fun read but that's some peak JoJo scaling. I'd love to see how much damage a brontosaurs punch combined with the speed of shrimp mantis punch would do with an overdrive.
Kars isn't really ruthless to his enemies or anything (he even offered Lisa Lisa a painless poison to her for her death as his way of respecting Lisa Lisa), but he had a philosophy that is "if you don't evolve to adapt it, you better off dead" as he has slaughtered his own people for not accepting his idea of evolution with a drawback of hunger, which is why he punished human not because he care about a dog, but rather he doesn't believe that he is better than a dog (or any plant and animal) and would kill those who think they are (Ultimate Kars knocking on small Dio Brando house after he killed Danny), and he would adapt Joseph's fighting style of using tricks to his advantage after he saw Wammu, a perfect warrior, who would easily win against any low life creature, was defeated by one, on a one on one fight, and doing this Joseph would call him out for cheating because Joseph is a frickin hypocrite, but he wouldn't care as it is his way to victory, by tricking the N*Z* into firing their UV light when he don the aja mask
Kars is basically the most kind main "villain" there is, I always thought of him later as some spirit of Earth, he never really cared about hurting humans or whatever, unless they stepped into his way of obtaining the stone of Aja, he is also really underrated in terms of strenght, like he would smack all main villains until part 7-8.

Can you do Kars vs Tooru W.O.U? Do you think calamity's damage multiplier only goes so far to outright kill humans or was it stated it goes according to the target? Because if it doesn't scale, it means Kars is nigh unstoppable. I can imagine Kars tanking calamities 24/7 and not die because of durability and regeneration. If he manages to figure out that all he needs to do is stop pursuing Tooru and then calamity wouldn't activate. Maybe he could turn off his mind with a very specific creature and by pass that rule. Maybe create swarms of bees to encircle Tooru and transform them into heavier animals to crush him. There are only so many things on earth that can be a medium for calamity but Kars has seemingly infinite energy or at least, extremely high amounts. Hive mind or eusocial animals don't typically have individual minds so maybe they could bypass the act of pursuit as their Queen (Kars) would be the one to be targeted. Maybe he could also infinitely clone himself via Starfish abilities and then overwhelm Tooru in numbers, intelligence, and might.
That would be a very interesting duel. Personally, I think calamities scale and could kill Kars because "flow of calamity" was described as logic of the world. But then again, Kars's ability to adapt to pretty much anything makes him one of the hardest characters to kill so who knows.
Kars will probably adapt the term calamity and use it as a weapon for himself as i believe that he should have been waaaay more overpowered than what we have seen

In the Jorge Joestar light novel Kars gets a lot of stands and they're all broken, this is when he's actually strong compared to other verses, like ridiculously strong

Kars is the strongest quote on quote- cue statements by Wamuu that he would be in a more difficult situation with a trained Caesar in which Wamuu himself barely won and later Joseph stating Kars is not as strong as Wamuu.
When it comes to battle his intelligence though is a completely different story
I think it has to do with their abilities.
Wamuu ability is to control the wind while Kars can alter his body to use the light blade.
I would say Karss is physically stronger.
He wasn't ULF yet. Also, Whamu's honor code was his greatest weakness and Kars lacked that.

ULF Kars is very OP. I'd imagine him having an elemental stand, a stand that counters Joseph outright ( Meaning Plot Armor and the Next line gets countered?! ) or a perfect stand that in itself has A in all stats surpassing both TW and SP in strength and has a longer range than C-Moon or Hierophant green and it could replicate any stand abilities that are non-requiem or heaven based ( Basically Novel Kars but a little bit weaker ) with it's name possibly being Upgrade U. I imagine the only ones that could beat him are Killer Queen:BTD, Cream, MiH ( Theoretically by obliterating kars to the point not even his blood is left ), Tusk Act 4, D4C, Notorious B.I.G, Super Fly ( unless someone swaps place with him ), The Hand but unlikely due to Okuyasu, Normal GE alone could theoretically beat ULF Kars by filling him with so much life force he dies, Heaven's Door writes "Kars never reached perfection and died due to the sun.", and etc.
I believe he has 2 stands but the one he will become aware of is his hamon stand, the hermit purple.

I think it's rather fortunate that Kars is only capable of replicating the animal kingdom. Thinking about him achieving the abilities of bacteria, viruses, plants, and fungi legitimately scares me in a way I can't quite articulate.

He CAN replicate other domains of life. He transformed his hand into a flower and is even stated to have access to photosynthesis. On top of that he can replicate any form of life to its apex and maximum potential.

Nah, Kars WAS going all out because as he said he would not let Esidisi's will be in vein, as he suspected that Joseph killed Esidisi. Kars simply under estimated Joseph as Esidisi had. Also I found it interesting that while Joseph noted that he saw hate in Kars eyes because of Joseph killing Esidisi, we see that Kars couldn't help but be floored by the fight Joseph put up and did respect Joseph at this juncture. I just found the evolution of their sentiments very interesting, since he does come to truly despise Joseph in the final fight.

I never thought about it but Kars could pull a Zamasu from DBS and have a clone army of himself. Araki literally created a character so strong that he had to deus ex machina him out of the story.

I've found it's best to think of Kars as being Requiem level.
SBR Extra chapter 3 says the Stone Masks are a path to Stands just like Hamon (Hermit Purple) and the Spin (Ball Breaker). Stands derived from mastery of mystical techniques are everywhere, notably including Pearl Jam and Dragon's Dream. The skill the Stone Masks represent is acupuncture, and that's why Modes are basically Stands. And forcing the evolution of these Mode Stands basically required an influx of energy on par with uniting the Corpse Parts or using the Requiem Arrow.
And yeah, especially when you consider all the ways Kars has to clone himself, the Ultimate Lifeform is indeed capable of some truly Requiem tier stuff.
In fact, if not for the plane landing in lava and presumably destroying them, Kars' transforming feathers would have allowed Kars to retain a presence on Earth such that even getting thrown into space wouldn't have defeated him. But Fate wanted him defeated, so he wasn't that lucky.
Also, Kars demonstrated the ability to use Wammu's Wind Mode, which he used to try to propel himself back down from orbit. Meaning he could probably use Esidisi's Heat Mode too, and he also showed he still had Light Mode right after becoming the Ultimate Lifeform. And add in his Hamon. And presumably he could have recreated Wammu's Divine Sandstorm technique and its use of the power of the Spin. Meaning in addition to his Requiem level Ultimate Lifeform abilities he had potential access to a full FIVE other Stands once he fully cultivated the relevant skills. And keep in mind the physical stats listed are before factoring in the extreme enhancements provided by Hamon. He could probably put up a respectable showing in a fisticuffs fight with Star Platinum.

I believe Killer Queen could also kill Ultimate Kars since it completely designates people, as it did with Shigechi, also given its ability description to “Turn anything it touches into a bomb”, KQ just flat out has transmutation hax.
doesn't it only work on singular objects though? Kars could split a piece of himself off elsewhere and just regenerate from that if he gets blown up

Plot idea: Kars used the powers of a tardigrade to survive, and some day, a future JoJo will see a shooting star fall to the earth - only to then sprout wings, to dramatic music.
Something that I thought would be cool is that perhaps a jojo becomes an astronaut, and them along with the rest of the main protagonist crew fly out into space on a mission but something happens, get sent flying across the cosmos what have you. They land on a planet, perhaps origin planet of stands or also had a similar stand meteor land and it is inhabited by some alien humanoid looking race, perhaps similar to the guy from part 4. Turns out the Kars rock has landed here but he hasn't awoke yet. This would still make the "Kars never returned to earth" hold true but would allow for his return to the series. The biggest thing preventing this is we are no longer a part of that timeline. Would be cool though.

If he did recieve a hermit purple like stand, it would have likely been hundreds of times more powerful than the stand old Joseph had and it's abilities would have been more potent.
So, my headcannon is that it would probably be a stand that allows Kars to directly see into the future (Doppio style) as well as find the location of anything he desires. On top of that, I imagine it would be a fully manifested stand, with it's body formed out of dozens of vines of hermit purple.
It may also gain additional broken af abilities, since it is the stand of the ultimate lifeform (for example, one that makes sense to me is compying and replicating the ability of any stand he touches / punches with it, since he can already replicate any lifeform).

I would love to see a 3rd jojo part without stands. Dont get me wrong. i love the concept of stands and prefer them a lot over hamon. But it would still be interesting to see a another part that focuses on hamon and possibly the uses you could get out of it. If there are some more that were not shown in part 1 and 2.

Just gonna think of some stands that can beat Kars, at least in theory (that are not mentioned in the video):
Hierophant Green - could control Kars' body, whether he has full control over his abilities is the question, but assuming he does I'm sure he could make Kars self-destruct in some fashion
Anubis (kind of) - All that needs to happen is for Kars to pick up the sword, at which point Anubis is now the ultimate life form. Doesn't really fix the problem because you now have a superhuman with a sword, but technically Kars is beaten.
Sethan - Assuming the de-aging can't somehow be reversed by Kars' control over his own body, all Alessi needs to do is avoid him until he reverts to nothingness. What Alessi's chances of avoiding the ultimate being and then a pillar man for enough time for however many thousands of years he needs to de-age I won't speculate on.
Osiris & Atum - They need to convince Kars to play with them, and then beat the gorillion IQ being in a game. Not likely but not impossible, especially if they choose a luck-based game. If they win, Kars' soul will be theirs and his body will be a husk
Heaven's Door - HD's abilities are severely vague, so this is speculation at best, but he could rewrite Kars to be a good guy. Just use HD on him and write "I want to help humanity to the best of my abilities" and bam, Kars is no longer a problem.
Killer Queen - As good as Kars' ability to regenerate is, as far as we know Killer Queen will completely atomize you. I don't think even the ultimate life form is coming back from that one.
Cheap Trick - You get someone to look at Kars' back, his life force gets sucked out by Cheap Trick, you got one tiny shrivelled up dead ultimate being in your hands
Whitesnake - I don't exactly know the limits of the power, but he can use disks to give orders to living things. He could maybe force Kars to end his own life with one.
Survivor - Haha just kidding, it would be fucking terrifying though
Bohemian Rhapsody - All you have to do is write a character that completely counters Kars. Honestly, probably the most foolproof stand against him, assuming he doesn't catch on and immediately create Put Back.
Sugar Mountain - Toughest part is obviously to have him take the trial. Though if he fails the second trial, he would become part of the tree and eventually become a guardian, presumably forced to act out that role for the rest of eternity.
Blue Hawaii - Depending on how the mind control works, same as Hierophant Green and Whitesnake, could make Kars self-destruct.
I left out a bunch of 'body modification' stands like Scary Monsters and RATT because I just assume Kars' control over his physiology might be able to overcome these transformations.
Kars could probably beat tusk act 4 and S&W go beyond though; he's galaxy-brained enough to just figure out how to use the spin himself once he knows its a thing, and he can just turn himself into a horse to make his own infinite rotation to counteract it.

You can't use perfect rotation on the level of Gyro and Johnny during the Love Train fight without a stand, nor able to gain a stand if you practice to do (if you are talking about Ball Breaker then it is Gyro steel ball's stand since after Gyro gone through the devil pawns and gained an eye of the Saint his steel ball also changed and emit a strange energy, also Araki does said that Ball Breaker is Gyro steel ball stand)
