As a German who has been watching f1 for 10+ years to me it will not matter if Hulkemberg goes to AUDI but for the general population in Germany it would probably turn into the situation that happened when Mercedes came out with an all German lineup for 2010.
I'd hope that anyone would give Audi kudos for giving the Hulk a seat with podium potential, but as a German, yeah, having him there is a very good look.
Maybe Sainz was patient and wanted to see whether Audi will be new Mercedes or new Toyota before officially signing anything. But this move will definitely put pressure on him. But, on other hand, Sainz is currently the only high caliber driver that Audi can sign in near future, so maybe his approach is correct. As for Zhou, I think that this was the reason why he got so emotional in China, he knew that he will never race there again. It's sad, but it is right move.
As a german long term f1 fan, yes it is some great news. Having one of the biggest motorsport brands on the f1 grid, with one of the Most simple and funny guy to ever race in f1, it is a great new chapter. Hopefully he gets his first podium.
As a German I'm really glad that Nico stays in Formula 1 for the foreseeable future, the German manufacturer thing is also a really nice bonus on top. Plus I really think Nico is a really good driver with a great personality!
As a German, my answer to your question is: yes. I was already hyped when hearing about Audi joining F1. Now that Hulk is going to be one of their drivers - EVEN MORE HYPED 🚂🚂🚂
I think Audi is getting a steal with someone like Hulkenberg. He is such a strong technician and from what I have read is an amazing feedback machine on track, that is what this team needs right now. To get all of that, and someone who is still hungry for success in the sport at the price they are getting him, is just a no brainer to me. Good call Audi! And great video as usual Law!
As a German, yes, it makes me personally more excited for an Audi entry. Mercedes never really felt all that German since Lewis joined anymore, especially since 2016 when Rosberg left. I like that they went for a German driver who also deserves to be there on merit and will be a great asset for the team. With Hülkenbergs performances in the Haas it just feels like a match made in heaven. I was a bit concerned about Audi in the last couple of years, it never really felt like they were 100% in on F1, but now it very much feels that way and I also hope the combination of Audi and Hülkenberg will do something to bring German motorsport forward again, because since Vettel left it feels like we have been regressing, with not a lot of drivers in sight.
I'm German and watching this video, and I do have to admit, I wasn't terribly interested in Hülkenberg. Replacing Mick will do that. However, I will say, him driving for a German team does tickle me in just the right way to light my interest in following Nico's season.
I am german, I do want Audi to succeed, and I do like the Hulk. But honestly, i want the to be good because it's better for F1 to have more competitive teams.

The reality is AUDI has about a three season road to be a title contender. Any new team will. Carlos can wait, and probably should. Anyone founding an AUDI entry is more likely to have their image tarnished than talents ignited there.
Hulk at Audi has me optimistic honestly. I want them to do well and get Nico a great car. I wish this pairing nothing but the best! And it would be cool to have Carlos next to Hulk.
As a German person watching this (I feel quite honoured being addressed directly by you hahah) it does make one proud to see some nice german representation! So Hulkenberg (although he is not that much of a popular athlete over here) partnering up with Audi is a nice thing to see :) but it is not intensely celebrated comparing it to Hamilton moving to Ferrari for example
The expectations of Audi during their early days are on the border of insanity. I honestly think this is a bad move for Hulkenberg. We saw with Honda and Red Bull etc how long it actually took to develope a complete front running car.
Nico is highly underrated, him and Audi will do very well together, and best chance for Audi and Nico is 2027, because 2026 the Gremlins will be out in full force for all teams but one or two
I know it would happen but it would be peak silly season if bearman suddenly signs with sauber. I guess in this scenario audi would pay the contract fees and stuff.
@moorhouse9949 Sorry, I really don't get the comparison. Ollie sounds English and his flag is the UK flag.. so I am pretty sure Bearman is a born and raised Englishman? Why do you suggest he is German?
As a german who watched F1 back in the Schumacher days I dont really care if Nico is driving for Audi or not. But I do enjoy seeing a german driver on the grid. And if his motivation is to drive for a german manufacturer I will enjoy watching him there as well.
Yes, Hulk going to Audi with the new branding and livery will make me more interested in that racing team than I am now. Hopefully, they can figure out pitsop servicing by then.
I'm a hulk fan and I'm not looking forward to this change. As poor as Haas has been, the green team is much worse in pretty much every way, but especially the livery and sponsors. Hopefully that will change quickly.
The only cool thing I'd see coming out of a Esteban & Nico partnership is a weekend with Spiderman & Hulk inspired helmets,Thats literally the only thing I could think of. The Audi Avengers 😅
Nico improved himself while outside the F1, pushing Kev out of his comfort zone. Would be great if Audi could finally give the man a car closer to podium scores, he deserves at least one.
Good! I'll say it again; I think Nico is a vastly underrated driver because he landed in F1 when the rules handicapped large drivers, and yet in spite of that he always put in a good showing. Here's hoping Audi don't let him down, sadly I expect them to. Carlos? It will be travesty if he doesn't have a competitive drive next year, but with much regret I expect he won't have a drive at all.
As a Mexican, I'm so Happy for the Hulk, and I hope we can see him in the future at the podiums , he's a Top Driver, he just needs the right tools like my Boy Checo , well...all of the 19 drivers are Top Dogs, that's why they're there (Stroll doesn't count )

My question with all of this is simple:
HOW DOES POURCHAIRE NOT HAVE A SEAT?!
Nico is one of experienced driver on the grid, he could give a great data and feedback to "new" setup team. Who next to Nico? Mick?
Nico is highly underrated, him and Audi will do very well together, and best chance for Audi and Nico is 2027, because 2026 the Gremlins will be out in full force for all teams but one or two
I know it would happen but it would be peak silly season if bearman suddenly signs with sauber. I guess in this scenario audi would pay the contract fees and stuff.
I hope Audi performs well in F1, would love to see him on the podium and get a win or two before the end of his career. He's a solid driver.
Question, what does this move for Kmag? Surely he’s out after this year?
Id like to see a bottas and bearman pairing at haas
@moorhouse9949 Sorry, I really don't get the comparison.
Ollie sounds English and his flag is the UK flag.. so I am pretty sure Bearman is a born and raised Englishman? Why do you suggest he is German?
Im super excited about it, I want Nico to get a podium, he is one of the best drivers ever to not get one so far
14:55 Small correction, Austria 2022 (where Leclerc won) was after Silverstone 2022!
Ohhhhh fair enough!
As a german who watched F1 back in the Schumacher days I dont really care if Nico is driving for Audi or not. But I do enjoy seeing a german driver on the grid. And if his motivation is to drive for a german manufacturer I will enjoy watching him there as well.
I love the reading segments starting with "eh hem" and the classical music. Please never take this away 😂
I really hope Nico gets a podium before he retiers
This is why we need another team on the grid.
Nico improved himself while outside the F1, pushing Kev out of his comfort zone. Would be great if Audi could finally give the man a car closer to podium scores, he deserves at least one.
When Nico Hulkenburg and Porsche won the 24hr of Lemans, I was cheering so loud that Germany heard Canada
Does the Law in your name stand for your dads name Lawrence? The hair genes are very strong this generation between you and Lance.
