Nils put in a powerful set for the Arthur Lee benefit and, sadly, Arthur never got to hear the words Nils spoke of him after the show - but I am sure he felt them.
Read Love drummer Michael Stuart’s book “Pegasus Carousel”, which goes into great detail on the subject. Basically Arthur Lee was content with his song writing royalties, and torpedoed any gigs not handy to LA. The most notable example was his cancellation of Love’s appearance at the Miami Pop Festival. A shame, really.
