I met Arthur a few years prior, recently after his release from prison. I was a car rental porter, Van Nuys CA, - he was the kindest, most gentle soul; offered his inspiration to my own artistic endeavors- acting…. ‘Never stop pursuing the Art’….. we’re his last words to me! RIP Arthur Lee…..
So perfectly of its time and yet so timeless. When I first heard this 30 years ago and steeped myself in its wide-eyed gentle beauty, it opened a little space for me to venture out of my shell and into the outside world . Music can do that.
Oh wow how l wish was in the UK in 2003 to hear Arthur Lee & Love sing those songs from the classic 1967 Forever Changes album. His voice at 58 yrs still sounds so beautiful as it does on one of my favourite albums of all time.
So glad I got to see Arthur Lee in 2004 on the Forever Changes tour in London before his death two years later. One of my favourite artists. One of my favourite albums x
Love Forever Changes and De Capo up there with the greatest albums of all time ! Shame they didnt tour Europe at their peak as they would have been apprciated more ! Artur Lee was a songwriting genius !RIP special man !
Unfortunately, I never saw them live, but I did see him at a Donovan show in Hollywood talking to one of the waitresses. I think the year was 1966. I’m a big fan.
@@diegobadilla5951 Agree with Diego, "You set the Scene" out- does "alone again or" definitely for me, 5.14 to 5.24 + 5.55 says it.. + "..do you like the part you're plaaa ying..??" 3 songs in 1and a perfect ending to the album
A very original and unusual song from perhaps LA’s most important and underrated 1960’s psychedelic bands. If you’re a fan of pop history, you have to know Love.
Wow Baby Lemonade! You guys got all the songs down perfecto. I watch the dvd w u and Arthur which was around 2,003 I believe, alot. You guys are great. What did you play?...bass?
@@lastnamefirst4035 I bought a bootleg DVD of it!!! So many great concerts out there, but not "official" releases. Tragedy that HAWKWIND in their prime in early 70s were never filmed.

I have always wanted to meet Ann More for the first time as well as again.
I just discovered LOVE tonight 😍 MASTERPIECE 😢😅😊
This whole set is amazing! Arthur had a sketchy career, but, it's awesome how he got it all together in an amazing way at the end...a treasure!

So beautiful. Such a unique sound, and poetry.

He has a beautiful voice hard to duplicate
One of the great artists of all time. Went out back on top. Nothing beats alone again or. See you again someday Arthur
Never said he did. He sang lead, but there is also an acoustic version of Bryan Alone. I saw them reunite for this song at the Fillmore East
You set the scene beats alone again or
Every Love fan knows Bryan wrote Alone Again Or, and it beats You Set the Scene. Go see how many artists covered it

I love Aruthur's songs. What a shame he was out of circulation for around 5 years. I dig his music and him
Prison might have saved his life. He lived some tough times
I wish I was there
Wonderful song
Magnifico !!!
from ‘Forever Changes’ - the great unknown masterpiece album of the 60s by Love.

I found Love only a few years ago. Pity, didn’t know Love.
