I don't think I found Luigi's Purple Coins THAT challenging, I guess it's not so bad once you got a path down. But I do agree that Pachinko and Champion's Road are very challenging along with A Long Journey's End. Fun Fact: As I recall, I beat Champion's Road with Rosalina on my FIRST TRY, her spin jump was certainly helpful.
Rainbow Ride is unquestionably harder than Tick Tock Clock. Most of Tick Tock Clock's stars can be easily obtained if you stop the clock so that nothing is moving. And even for the ones requiring movement, just stop the clock so that everything moves slowly. Rainbow Ride is really spread out, every star is a challenge.
Yeah. I got Rainbow Ride’s 100 coin start after 1 or 2 tries, but it took a gazillion tries and a lot of deaths to get the 100 coin star for Tick Tock Clock.
Champions Road and Long Journey’s End were definitely hard for me to complete! I mean you have to complete the level in one go without taking any damage or have a single checkpoint to save you.
I remember beating the perfect run for the first time, my whole family was watching me. After countless deaths and game overs, there was one time where my whole family saw me beat it. My palms were sweating like crazy, but beating it made me feel like a god, with my family all being proud of me. My sister then asked if I saved. Thank god the game had autosave. Otherwise, I'd have panicked a lot
The important thing to know about the Pachinko level is to either press hard left, hard right, or leave the stick completely neutral all the way when you're getting launched. If you do this, you are guaranteed to land on a pin every time and from there you can hover over to where you need to go.
World 9-7 in Super Mario Bros Wii is when Wii remotes went flying into the walls and being obliterated 😆. Thank god I never played because I could never be bothered to collect all of the star coins. Also that Pachinko level in Super Mario Sunshine was an absolute pain in the arse for me, I just remember raging a lot.
If anything I thought the lily pad level of super Mario sunshine was a lot harder, of course everyone has their opinions, but keep in mind. When trying to access the lily pad level you have that super long and monotonous trip over each time you get a game over
I personally think the red coin lily pad level in Sunshine is harder. Even getting to the level is time consuming. I farmed 1-Ups so I didn’t game over there lol
Champion’s Road from Super Mario 3D World is THE hardest level to complete especially because it has the most amount of difficult obstacles to conquer without checkpoints!
Long Journey’s End and The Perfect Run is definitely challenging due to the lack of checkpoints and the fact you can’t take a single hit in the latter. Man, I wish I had most of those lives when beating the level.
*World 8-7* from New Super Mario Bros., *Tick Tock Clock* from Super Mario 64, *Champion's Road* from Super Mario 3D World and *Long Journey's End* from Super Mario Odyssey are all one of THE Most Hardest Super Mario Levels There Is.
Dang that voice crack at 6:45 is a good one! Stays in theme with us fellow gamer nerds lol. I’m in my early 30’s and every now and then will notice myself do it too haha
I absolutely love Galexy 2's perfect run. That was an incredibly fun level. That's why I wish Nintendo would make Galexy 3 with tidbits of odessey open world. And make many more perfect run type levels. But I don't care for the star bit collection, nor do I like the shake mechanic because it's really easy to shake the controller by accident. Mapped button for all the shake controls would be much better, for a more controlled experience.
With Long Journeys End, All you have to do is once you capture the Glydon when you start flying towards one of the jet streams that shoot you up in the air you have to shake your joycon at the same time to get an extra lift. And you especially need to get that on the last one so that you can medicate maneuver around wall to get to the end
I just beat SMB1 and 8-3 was by far the hardest SMB3 it’s the Airship level in World 8. Absolutely insane. There’s other levels in World 8 that can compete for this spot too.
Yes! Exactly! Came here to say this. Another one that killed me as a kid but easier now is SMB3 5-6. The auto scrolling level jumping on the backs of the Parabeetles.
I’ve never played the “impossible pack” levels, but it looks like they drew some inspiration from the saws and brutal difficulty of super meat boy! Pretty cool to see it come full circle.
Champion's Road, The Perfect Run, and 9-7 NSMBW are by far the most memorably challenging levels for me. Took me many tries to get right. People say Darker Side of the Moon was hard, but I beat it in just a few tries and hardly remember it.
You're right. The perfect run is by far the hardest one. It took me 8 years and countless attempts to eventually beat it. The last section with the hammer and the boomerang Bros is a real pain in the ass. I always died there. In comparison, Champions Road and Long Journey's End took me only a few days to beat.
I completed Long Journey's End just last week. It only took me two days & on the second day, just over an hour. I was lucky because I was one more attempt from giving up for the day. I'm very fortunate I didn't.
I thought you had to beat Champion’s Road with every character to get the true ending. So that’s what I did. It took me two weeks playing multiple hours a day. I was shocked when I completed it and got absolutely nothing at the end. It was worth it though. Those were good times.
The footage for The Perfect Run was way too good for a normal player. I knew it had to be a speed runner. Beat it yesterday, and man was it a challenge
if i remember, there are FOUR possible "settings" for "tick tock clock": slow, fast, stopped, and RANDOM. getting the red coins is almost impossible for any setting but "stopped", but that makes many others completely impossible, because you need to ride on the moving parts to reach them. "random" is THE WORST.
I agree with the list, but the only thing I disagree with is putting Tick Tock Clock over Rainbow Ride. 1. The stars are really dispearsed in Rainbow Ride. 2. Some of the challenges either got you moving either at perfect plaforming or at a snail's pace. There is no in-between and most importantly, 3. If you was to fall off into the bottomless pit, you fall all the way *OUTSIDE* of Princess Peach's castle, and youd have to traverse all the way inside all up the the entrance to Rainbow Ride and try again, where as if you fall into the bottomless pit in Tick Tock Clock, youd simply fall outside the clock where you sinply cant try again immediately. That alone is make Rainbow Ride *MUCH* more difficult.
The Grandmaster galaxy the perfect run is the last obstacle left for me to overcome to complete Galaxy 2 at 100%. I'm going to do it in mid-March because I have free time and I'm not going to stop until I obtain this last Power Star.
@@BigGuyZee In this case, I think a warm-up is required. On March 11, I'm going to play the level of Grandmaster galaxy normally as Mario, then as Luigi. This will help me determine the character I'm going to use to complete the Perfect Run. If I lost less lives as Mario, then this will be the character I'm going to use in order to complete this level. If I didn't lose a lot of lives as Luigi, then it's going to be him.
'Tubular' and 'Hit That Switch!' from Super Mario World 1 & 2 respectively. They are somewhat similar in that they require you to move through an obstacle course without wasting a single second, with no shortcuts to get around them, not even Blue Flying Yoshi. Of course we also now have 82715 Mario Maker levels that make all of these look like a Sunday stroll.
Haven’t played many of the extra levels in traditional Mario games but I’ve played Sunshine and oh boy, the levels without the fludd are insane. I have no idea how kids were meant to beat the game without any guides for the majority of the game.
I think the old Super Mario from 1990 from the most hard EVER I still remember when i was 4 years old i had my first Super Mario for a console called SUPER POLYSTATION 2 Was really awesome
The placement of Champion's Road makes it clear that you didn't play it. Pachinko is hard, but the lilly pad level is MUCH worse. I must agree, though, with Grandmaster Galaxy being the hardest. I didn't even beat the daredevil one, I just quit. I will try again if Nintendo releases Galaxy 2 for the Switch (as they should have done already).
World 8 Fortress Super Mario Bros 3 and World 8-7 New Super Mario Bros and Tick Tock Clock Super Mario 64 and Champion's Road Super Mario 3D World and Long Journey's End Super Mario Odyssey and Luigi's Purple Coins Super Mario Galaxy and Pachinko Super Mario Sunshine and Impossible Pack New Super Mario Bros 2 and World C-3 Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels and Grandmaster Galaxy The Perfect Run Super Mario Galaxy 2 believe is the most on my switch
Fun thing is: Tick Tock Clock's name in German is "Tick Tack Trauma", in which case "Trauma" referrs to a psychological trauma.... and I think its quite fitting x.x
Okay, not a bad top ten today. I half expected to see a Mario World which would have gotten me angry since it's arguably the easiest (but the best) Mario game. Glad to see it's not on here, haha.
@@mario_adv2nture well I’m not a gamer although i like video games a lot, a free I had play station one I forgot about video games for many years until recently that my father asked me if I wanted a Xbox one that my little sister played with like three times, and I said yes just because u wanted to play Crash Bandicoot remastered version.
I think that the lilypad level in sunshine should have been included. I have been trying for over a year and still can’t beat it. I also think that luigi purple coins or 8-7 on the ds wasn’t that hard when compared to the final levels in odyssey, galaxy 2 and 3d world. I spent so much time beating those, especially the perfect run and long journeys end. Also, I think that the crown level from 3d land also deserves to be on this list.
The harder these Mario levels are, the more fun and exciting they get. Sure, they can be very exasperating every time we fail to complete them. Buy that's what makes them not-so boring.
I was a teenager when I beat the pachinko machine in Mario Sunshine so I don't know about no cheese I did it with skill I'm telling you everything I had trouble with so I'm not lying I do not lie about stuff
I beat 4 out 10 if the hardest levels, last one was Mario Odyssey this past friday on Mario day and it took me like 3 hours but it felt so good to beat the game and 900 power moons. Oh, and also on Mario 3D world i spent 741 lives only on champions road, the rest of the game I use like 5 lives at most
Honestly I didn’t think the perfect run was that hard, I can’t even go back to mario the lost lvls ((aka mario bros 2)) I’m surprised none of the star routs in snes mario world wasn’t on here
If I have to be honest, Champion’s Road on 3D World is so hard I haven’t even beat it yet, both in Wii U and its Switch port. But Pachunko is not only hard but also the most annoying level in Super Mario games.
I don't wanna look at champion road it took me forever and alot of rage just to complete it even just completing it with princess peach Luigi toad and Rosalina it's a nightmare

Yup, I managed to complete galaxy 2’s perfect run

Yeah it took me hours to beat long journeys end without damage
Long Journey's End felt a lot more easier than Champions road.
Champions Road was hard enough with Peach, I can’t imagine how hard it is to play with the other characters. 😐
That’s the perfect run
You’re just bad lol
(Bear with me, im joking)

The perfect run is the only time I’ve stood up and jumped up and down with glee from beating a level in a video game.
The Pachinko machine will obviously be harder if you have the rocket nozzle. Still, it’s a pain in the neck to deal with, even with the hover nozzle.
My thoughts exactly. Like it’s a hard level normally, but using the rocket nozzle????
I love Tick Tock Clock; challenging but fun. The music also helps the level.
That music is flawless
The important thing to know about the Pachinko level is to either press hard left, hard right, or leave the stick completely neutral all the way when you're getting launched. If you do this, you are guaranteed to land on a pin every time and from there you can hover over to where you need to go.

Long Journey’s End and The Perfect Run is definitely challenging due to the lack of checkpoints and the fact you can’t take a single hit in the latter. Man, I wish I had most of those lives when beating the level.

I think you could just make a Super Mario Sunshine long play video with the same title and it’d still be valid
This stage is harder to me 2:40
For long journeys end, I used my Amibo Mario figure as a superstar and easy mode on Super Mario Oddessy.
*sees what level they open up with* I can hear Arin Hanson's screams all over again.
I think the old Super Mario from 1990 from the most hard EVER

The Sandbird mission from Super Mario Sunshine was massive pain. Forget the Pachinko game this was the worst!
Mario VS Sonic! Crash VS Spyro!
mario wins then crash wins
Champions world was very hard for me it took me a year to get through that with non-stop practicing in Mario 3D world
I hate the Darkest Side of the Moon. I’ve come so close to finishing it so many times, but never have. It drives me nuts!
