Her entire motivation for getting the tank teams to work together is so she can eat cake in peace. And the school's fight song is a French marching song about onion rings (loosely) and keeping them away from Austrians.

It was hinted that all of these girl received some military-like training during their school year. Basically a harsher P.E sections. Which make them more flexible than us.
