Austin's work ethic really is paying off. So dedicated and passionate. Wish I would have seen him in The Iceman Cometh... Wow would have loved to have seen that...

I heard this interview for the first time right after seeing Elvis (which by the way has made me an obsessive fan at a rather elderly age). I’m so impressed with Austin’s attitude and responses in this interview ( I particularly loved the response “the day I met Howard Fine” as well as so many of the interviews he’s done since the movie. Not only that, but now listening again, I’m not surprised at how well he did on SNL. I’m sure by now, his future is sinking in to him. You have a fan for as long as I’m still around kiddo. I wish my husband was still here … he would have loved you, too. Keep on reaching for the stars. Thanks Mr. Fine, for this eye opening interview.

I wish Austin gave himself more credit, he truly is massively talented, he is vibrant and magnetic, and so wise. It broke my heart to see him so nervous here, but at same time it made me realize he has gained confidence, he seems much more at ease now, may God bless him always in every moment, in every step in his life.

my god, I am feeling so protective of him. Losing his mother at a younger age and my extreme fear of my mother dying as she's in her mid 80's, I wish him nothing but happiness and success. I'm also a loner, but I don't have his looks, so it's strange to think that even good looking people can be lonely, as it's usually the opposite?

He was so eleqeunt and articulate in his acceptance speeches for the Golden Globes and the BAFTA aeards, it shows you the progress he has made in the last few yearrs by just committing to be a better actor to enable him to get bigger and better roles. I respect him so much.

This interview should be listened to 100 plus times as there’s a lot to unpack and take aways. Was left wanting someone to ask “If you could go back in time and give your younger self only one piece of advice of what’s to come, what would that be?”

Austin is such a wonderful story teller, he keeps the attention and he is so funny too. I loved his fim Elvis and since have watched his previous movies, The Intruders, loved him in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and several others when he was younger and the series such as Switched at Birth ❤ I love his acting and his enthusiasm here. Austin is a beautiful soul, he is artistic in his acting but is also such a caring person, and an extraordinarily Beautiful man 💖 whom I absolutely adore 🥰 I have not watched the Carrie Diaries or The Shannara Chronicles yet but plan on seeing them. 😍 Thank you for this interview and my opportunity to voice my thoughts ✨💖✨ It is 10:08 p.m. here in CA

Yeah, I agree. He’s got a slight twang to his voice that’s not characteristic of the stereotypical southern Californian accent, which I find interesting. He spoke like that when he was younger, too.

Hindsight is 20/20: he regrets saying no to a part where he prays for his wife to be healed from cancer… now he will get his chance playing Danny Ryan in City on Fire and City of Dreams, whose wife Terri gets cancer. Your second chance is coming Austin!

    • @randombrokeperson

He said he most likely damaged his voice singing as Elvis. He does tend to get a little bit of vocal fry now and I believe he smokes cigarettes and/or vapes, so I think that’s part of the problem
