I loved his work in Dogfight even more, and My Own Private Idaho was amazing acting, but as we know, He was excellent in everything he did! I also loved Running On Empty. He is still talked about and greatly loved! He was definitely one of a Kind! Would've been a one of those actors we pay tribute to, & as an older man, decades later! I know. As I understand, van Sant wanted to take that picture before River cut his hair for "My own private Idaho". His hair here is noticeably shorter than his hair in "Love you to death". Did he just cut it down even more shortly after this interview to film "Dogfight" and then let it grow again to cut it just before filimin "My own private Idaho"? Everything in 1991?!
