I think I would just grow a sweet potato in that, they are easy to grow, hold it half way in the water with three tooth picks then wait for the roots to reach half of the container, after that just bury the whole thing. Boom, sweet potatoes.
Okay, I HATE this tank but I do think it could work as an alternative for Petco and PetSmart for betta fish. If it were to have a silk plant in it and no rocks. It would be a way to do daily water changes and then maybe one to two times a week they could do a full water change. It would also be a little more swimming room and it would be nice for them to have a silk plant to rest on!

When I got mine the batteries were dead on the light 😢😢😢. I tested them with a meter and everything. This is a very cool tank though and I would love to see one in a larger size.

Well Esme, tropical fish such as Livebearers, Cichlids, and certain predatory fish require heaters, and then you need an air pump to create oxygen, a filter (obviously) live plants (If you're an intermediate or expert keeper) which would then need you to get specific gravel or root tabs, its way more than 12 dollars, even for a 10 gallon, I got mine for 25.99 and it was on sale! It can be very expensive in the aquarium hobby, but it's very rewarding

Tracy England I don’t know much about frogs but I can tell this tank is no where near big enough or suitable for a frog to live in, since frogs are amphibians they would also need some land to go onto occasionally and this provides none. Maybe a few tadpoles but they would have to be moved eventually. A tank this size shouldn’t be used for any living creature, despite what it is advertised as, it could be used for growing underwater plants but nothing more as it’s cruel.

I'm hoping your tank is 20 gallons or larger, goldfish need a strong filter due to the ammonia they release into the water, goldfish cannot be kept with any cichlids or tropical fish, because of that reason, goldfish will get big no matter what, and you'll have to do water changes twice a week unless you have a strong filter. You might wanna get a pair of Molly or platy or some sort of easier tropical fish, tropical fish require a heater and a 10-20 gallon, you could get cichlids but then you'd have to choose South American or African cichlids, both need 30-75 gallons. I hope this helps you decide what you want.

You wanna know why the tank works, just google Equilibrium Pressure and Water Flow. Basically the water fills whatever gaps are available to fill in the tank, and if the water height is higher than the exit point, or in your case the white spigot, gravity pulls down on the water until it would require additional pressure to squeeze the water out of the tank.
Yes n they can live up to ten years . I seen them live up to 6 years in a bowl. But if u want to see a betta full happy life. U need at least 2.5 gallon
