I enjoyed the cheese spread products from the Polyface "Artisanal" section on the website. What a great addition to the shopping experience. Thanks Joel! Cottage Industry products are a great addition to any menu, and lending your brand is great for community. Quality and Value yields Reputation. That said, Variety is the Spice of Life. Keep it coming!
In the state of Florida The producer has to be the one selling it. They will shut you down and fine you. Whether you are a produce groer or cottage farm vendor. Check your local laws. Your local extension office will have that information.
@mojavebohemian814 Florida isn't as bad as other states. Georgia is worse. All congested states have some kind of laws. Here in Florida we have gotten them to ease up on some things. But people need to be aware that there are laws,, regulations and restrictions so they don't get into trouble.
Florida doesn't have grocery stores? I don't know what you were trying to say, but if "the producer has to be the one selling it", then there can't be grocery stores selling things they don't produce (which, in a grocery store, is nearly everything).
@peterellis4262 retail establishments have the right business license. We are talking about the cottage food industry. Big difference.. I retired from a big supermarket. And I have been a grower and cottage food vendor. I have done this in Florida. I considered moving. After looking at other states some states have worse cottage food industry rules and laws and some states have less. My point is for people to check their state rules and regulations and laws. This was way they avoid legal trouble.
We are in a unique position on our farm. The same person who helps run the pigs is the graphic/web designer. (That's me)

Time to get laws changed, friend. Do not let the govt own you.
