I think it's so odd that a RAF pilot inspired watch would use a German flieger style dial (B type dial with an A type 12 o'clock marker..) and a Japanese movement. Still seriously considering buying one. Very attractive despite the oddities and I love a large pilot watch with decent specs for the price.
I own a Leica M3. Leicas were used by the RAF in the photo reconnaissance aircraft during WWII, in spite of the fact that they were manufactured in Wetzlar, Germany, before the war.
I think the original Hurricane watch is so much better, a truly unique design and echoes WW2 RAF elements in the design. This version looks like a clunky copy of the beautiful Laco Flieger-style watches which do a way better job on this style. It looks more like it should be called the Messerschmidt than the Hurricane. Looking at the original WW2 RAF watches there is a unique "RAF feeling'" design aesthetic to be found in those.
He said why ... it's more authentic to the pilot's watches of the era. Nobody has noticed my 1973 Submariner 5513 on my wrist in over 30 years. But, people often notice, and ask about my early model AVI-8 Lancaster Bomber.
@@oddarne87 Im a 7.5 wrists which is not tiny but im telling ya I would buy 3 of these for myself and my boys at 43mm and thats not a small dial either 😁😁
the watch looks gorgeous but it's just way too big.. even in this video, on your wrist, it looks comically huge. And I bet the huge bulging crown will leave the top of your hand with a dent..
Please make one with a smaller dia as well. I have a 15.5 cm small wrist. But i Like this watch very much. hope you consider making a smaller version.

I just bought the new P-51 watch. It’s beautiful and stylish. I may buy another AV8 watch if I find one that suits my interest.
What is the case of the Northolt made of? Pvd coated stainless?
What's the eta on availablility? subscribed.

Finally something for us with bigger wrists. There´s enough 42-43mm around anyways…

2:26 it looks too big even on his wrists, agreed that it could be 42 or 43mm, atleast for people like me with smaller wrists.
