    This is the difference why CU is the best place to be right now. Coach knows exactly what he is doing for these young men. The grass isn't almost greener on the other side, but all the best to those who couldn't wait out the process and see the value in persevering.

      There's multiple ways to get to the NFL. It was cool to hear guys talk about their own experiences but it's not like that across the board. Every team is different. I know some guys who'll say their time in the NFL was some of the darkest days of their life. Even Prime dealt with depression and nearly attempted suicide. The focus needs to be on mental health. Stop telling these kids that they're whole existence needs to revolve around football. You can also have a life away from the field.

      @@lawrencedaniels555 Nothing is perfect. They've made a choice. You can't ask for rain and not thee mud. As I'd life. At least the y know what they want. Everyone won't make it. The only way to find out is to try. The Colorado staff makes this clear. Nothing is promised. There's nothing wrong with being goal oriented.

      @@markbrown6224 Only issue is most of their guys dont have NFL talent. Travis Hunter is the only lock to go 1st round. Shedeur has the talent but they have to win games. At least make a bowl for him to be considered a top QB. The Big 12 will be tougher than the Pac12. Pac12 only had 4 or 5 competitive teams. In the Big 12 they had 7 teams with winning records. The league plays defense unlike the Pac12

    • @alkebulanwarrior1963
      @alkebulanwarrior1963 9 месяцев назад +1

      There is a difference. Other than UCLA no other school has as many NFL former players and coaches on staff to give the players the blueprint and info daily. The other school can provide the info to their players by bringing in former players to provide information but that is not the same as someone who is coaching you who have achieved that level. I am retired Army, and I was a Drill Sergeant, and I had a commander ask me why the soldiers and Sergeants of equal rank were always more attentive when I spoke and seeking you out to ask questions. I said Sir look at my right shoulder there is a combat patch there. This was before 9/11 so that also meant you were in an elite unit to earn that patch. So, the informatiom coming from someone who has been through the fire hits differently and not just from a place of theory. You are the proof of concept. AATW

      It's tough because the Desire is to "win now" and if you got kids who are a yr or 2 from being draft ready, you have to focus on them before they're gone; because your contract requires you to "win now;" especially for a "black" head coach. Teaching time used to be a luxury because you had 3 to 4 yrs with a kid. But now; you gotta win and you don't have a lot of time. So hats off to Prime for balancing his program - but he's fortunate; his son is the no. 1 qb, his best player is like a son, his other son has true nfl potential; so he can convince them to stay longer - but let the winning start happening; them new kids gonna get more looks and invites to leave. The kids who know they won't make it better take full advantage of what is being offered; for life outside of football.
