The Lunario and Foro Didi performances of this album were pro-shot and won't be blocked. There is something special about these girls when they are live. Both of these performances were highly energetic and dramatic as Dany slowly became the character in the story. Ale and Pau were highly animated, and you could see and hear the passion in their voices as well. As a side note, when Dany sang Crimson Queen at Foro Didi her guitar mic died so she just carried on acapella.
The 2019 and 2020 Whisky A GoGo shows are also pretty epic and pro shot for their RUclips channel...
Jumping on the live version band wagon. Lunario is my favorite. Dany takes on the persona of the main character while she sings and its more evident live. Plus you feel the energy better and QOTMS videos won't get blocked. so win win. Thanks for doing this. The more I listen to this album the more I'm convinced it should be in the top 5 concept albums of all time. just brilliant. Oh, they also have vlogs that explain each song that are fun to watch after you've heard the album. We enjoy watching those also, if you want to react to them. One other idea is to listen to the studio version, then watch the live version.
Totally agree with you @johnhawkins_twa. For me, it is the best live performance of the album. In the subsequent live performance of some songs (and cave de-tour), the girls have made some improvements, but we don't have a complete performance of the album in these conditions.
Indeed, the QOTMS album is brilliant and, in my opinion, more artistically creative than several later works that have better polish now that the girls have further improved their abilities.
The warning army will appear I am sure - but you can watch the live performances of this without being blocked. I highly recommend watching those over just listening to the album. They did the full album several times, the 2, that people tend to recommend are Lunario and Foro Didi.
So glad you are choosing to react to this album. It is quite the masterpiece. As you progress through the story, bear in mind they were 17, 15, & 12 when they wrote and recorded this concept album. I note this as not some attempt to "handicap" the assessment of their work, but to emphasize how very advanced they were as writers and musicians at that tender age. So many very adult themes and mature articulation of relatable feelings.
Feel free to stay with the studio album, but many of us will recommend that you consider reacting to their live performance of the entire album at Lunario CDMX. That show is the debut of the album. They performed it in order, with songs from their previous album in between chapters and following the final song on the album. There is a different level of energy and emotion they are able to convey live. By the time of that performance they were still only 18, 16, and 13. I think you will be impressed.
I agree 100%. Error is an excellent and well-produced album, but QOTMS is a masterpiece, IMO.

There are Pro shot live versions of this album where you can really see the performances of these gals shine during this concept album. One and perhaps the most legendary as it was where they debuted the album in it's entirety in 2018, is Lunario CDMX (Ciudad de Mexcio - Mexico City). In this concert the altitude of Mexico City is above 7k ft. and they really had to power through the performance as the air is really thin there. The other is Foro Didi in their hometown of Monterrey, MX later in 2019. It isn't as atmospheric visually as Lunario, but it has great performances as well. I don't think you'll be disappointed with either.
Even the videos from the Whiskey are worthwhile.

As I said before and will say again and again. The most amazing thing about QOTMS album is they wrote it when they were very young. Daniela "Dany" was 17 yrs old, Paulina "Pau" was 15 yrs old, and Alejandra "Ale" was 12 yrs old.
Love that you are deep into The Warning rabbit hole. If you were impressed by a studio version, you have done yourselves an injustice by not seeing live performances. As suggested at Lunario, Foro Didi are great performances.
You can hear passion and feeling in Dany's vocals as she sings, watch it aswell. Dany will immerse herself into the character and sing each song accordingly. IMO, an award winning performance.

Yup. Live is the way to go. The are so immersed in the emotion and characters of this album that you are dragged along with them.
Live at Lunario is the best way to hear this album the visuals are great. You won't get blocked.
This song is rare in that Dany composed the music and lyrics. There are a few, but most of their songs are joint compositions initiated by Pau. Each of them has composed complete songs on their own but around the time they were writing the songs for this album they arrived at a routine and system that they compose as a group.

This is actually their second album guys. Made when they were 17, 15, and 12. XXI Century Blood is actually their first. Made when they were 16, 14 and 11. And and EP called Escape The Mind even before that. 🤘
A masterpiece. Their 2nd LP is a roller coaster ride of emotion. Connect with the story and prepare to feel the torment, anguish, confusion, resolution and ultimately The End. Watch the live version. They are best live, and Dany transforms. It is an experience and the studio version can’t do justice.
At their Foro Didi show someone had forgotten to turn off the Bluetoth transmitter and the battery was out. That caused there only to be silence come out from her guitar, but like the pro she adjusted to the situation and continued the performance. And yes, you can here those Ukulele/Banjo/Whatever coming in at the end.

Also, the following song on this album is named *UGH* and it starts right after this song. Even if most people recommend their Lunario version, this version runs circles around the Lunario version. Here, you will see what Pau's background vocals also look like, and not just hear them. Often it's just one word in each sentence.
You will also notice the flame in Dany's eyes and the wonderful ( then rare ) smile on Ale's face, and that Pau has that crowd totally under her control, becomes very obvious as soon as she raises her hands above her head. What can they do, but obey?

Guys everyday I'm excited to see your The Warning reaction videos. If you want live versions, you can't go wrong with the Lunario CDMX concert. They do every song in order with some older songs sprinkled in. IT'S ALL GOLD!!!

I highly suggest reacting to the Lunario concert for this album. Dany literally becomes the character throughout the performance. Also be sure to watch the screen behind them for the tremendous graphics the help tell the story.
In Foro Didi show, Dany lost the guitar sound and has to make the interpretation a capella, and then her voice and interpretation is even better. This song was written by her
This is their second album QOTMS. The first is "XXI Century Blood" in 2017 and made an EP first "Escape the Mind" in 2016
Such a great song. It’s the most acoustic song in their catalog ( aside from the ones they perform acoustically after doing the electric rocking version first.). Never mind, I’m even confusing myself. Pau plays some shaker type percussion instead of drums on this and Ale’s bass is subtle. It’s haunting. I have a copy of the lyrics handwritten by Dany, framed of course. ❤❤❤

I wasn't in the studio, but based on the sound of my mandolin i can more or less unofficially confirm that is a mandolin.
another vote for Lunario concert. Follow the album order but watch those as their performance adds immensely to the songs. BTW, keep in mind Dany was 18, Pau was 16 and Ale was 13 when they wrote the album.
This album is amazing. As others have said, this was their 2nd full album, plus an EP before this one. Pay close attention to the lyrics to each song and the emotion the music adds. This story is all about the emotions of the main character. You are gonna love this ride!

Crimson Queen introduces the girl’s (the Queen’s) obsession. She loves someone who doesn’t even know she exists. Her feelings are intense, confusing, and conflicting, and are overpowering her. She would do anything for him to love her. Innocent enough, so far. That will change.

The performance at Lunario CDMX is amazing. This is their second album, XXI Century Blood is the first full album. The first two were independent releases. They equally amazing whether it's a rocker or a ballad and their songs are also intelligent, not just standard rock n roll themed, but well thought out and socially conscience (without being political).

Every video they made prior to 2021 when "Choke" was released will never be blocked,as they weren't signed to a major label. As people have already mentioned - the live arena is where The Warning are at their best,and best to watch. Enjoy your ramble down this amazing journey of The Warning - been following them since 2014,and don't think I'll be stopping any time soon. Also you really need to check the drummer Pau covering Radioheads "Creep" (watch right until the video ends),and then maybe listen The Warnings "Black Holes" (again live) with Pau on vocals - a song written when she was 13 about addiction (something The Warning makes you become)

I love that both of you are reacting to the audio version first.
Most of the time, reactors are distracted by the video's imagery, and most of the time has nothing to do with the song. Listening to the audio recording of the songs makes you focus on the music and lyrics.
Phenomenal is an understatement! One of them is phenomenal, the 3 of them are truly unbelievable.
XXI Century Blood is their first LP. They released an experimental EP called Escape the Mind that has some good numbers on it, but they were kids, kids. But, man they were talented kids.

Dany’s emotion in the Live at Lunario CDMX version like you watched Dust to Dust is definitely better to get the whole story vibe. I would do all the Live at Lunario CDMX versions on this album. Although my favorite ballads from The Warning are the ones that Pau sings: Black Holes, Show me the Light, Revenant, 23, etc. 😜
Some people choose one or a few favorite songs from the album, but in my opinion the QOTMS album should be considered as a whole, since each song fulfills a mission within the work. In fact, it can be said that each song has a rather simple structure, although the music and lyrics are always attractive, but the work as a whole is much more than the sum of its parts.
You are going to amazed with the Q.O.T.M.S album. I would suggest you watch the live performance of this album. You won't be disappointed. 🤘😎⚠️
She really plays it on an acoustic guitar. No banjo or ukulele is involved as far as I know. And just for your notice: Their first album 'XXI Century Blood' came out in 2017. This is their second studio album and indeed a concept album. It tells the story of a lover who becomes obsessed and a psychomaniac. You can hear her emotions evolve through the album.
Watch them live! this album is a dark, incredible masterpiece and should be enjoyed over and over again
You may or may not know there is a whole 'nother album before this one even, called 21st Century Blood. It also is quite good!
The live versions from Lunario would be the best option imo. The songs were posted seperately as well as the entire concert. And, it's an excellent performance. BTW, I drove from St. Louis to Denver (12 hours) to see them live. So worth it.

It might be more enjoyable for a first-time go-around, experiencing these songs live from their debut performance of the full album at Lunario CDMX, in October of 2018. It was also the album official release date. The way that Dany takes on the character through her performance, along with the video screen images in the background, really adds so much to the music. Amazing performances from all the ladies equally!

Great reaction! For those of us who cut our The Warning teeth on Evolve, Choke, Money, Animosity, etc. QOTMS, actually their second album after Escape the Mind, was as big a goosebump-inducing shock as when we finally got around to Revenant and Breathe on ERROR. Going back another year to the XXI Century Blood OMV left me speechless. So good.

There are pros and cons in the live versus recording performance argument. However, this is The Warning we're talking about so, either (or both) is always amazing. I'm glad to see you take on this album as a whole since it's quite the journey into obsession, psychosis, murder, suicide - you know, all the typical horrific teenage angst. Always reminds me why I'm so very glad I went through all of that back in the 60's rather than having to face it in this day and age when there are so many more stresses for kids to face.

When in doubt always go for the live shows, The Warning have awesome live pro shot concert videos on their channel. And that is from their SECOND album, they have an EP (Escape the Mind, released 2016) and their FIRST album XXI (21st) Century Blood released in 2017. Mayday is an EP that was released in 2021 and contained 6 songs that would later be released again on their third album Error in 2022.

If you have the time and want to treat yourself, I suggest playing the song from the studio album followed by the live performance from either Lunario or Foro Didi. It's a really great experience hearing the studio version then seeing the live performance! Great reaction you two!

1st time i heard this song dany sang it live at the troubadour in Hollywood, i knew this was the best band ive heard in decades.
Live at Lunario CDMX. This is a concept album about the Crimson Queen (that's all I'm saying). Dany gets into character like you will never see again. Foro is good but for that reason do Lunario.
Hey Guys! As amazing as this song and album are, you really should do the live performances of their album release concert, from Lunario CDMX. To really get the emotions of it, you need to see them perform it. Nothing compares. They were independent, so you don't have to worry about any of it being blocked. I've seen dozen's of reactors do the live performances and never blocked. Well worth it. Dany inhabits the main character and becomes "The Queen"!
BTW, this is their Second Album, They have an EP maned "Escape The Mind" (2015), then Their first full album "XXI Century Blood" (2017) , then this album (2018), Now "Error" (2022).. First half of "Error" is the EP "Mayday" (2021). If you haven't guessed, they have NO bad songs. I have run out superlatives for them long ago. Future Legends!

This band is not like other bands .These ladies don’t use their looks for likes it’s all about the music .Each song has a message that is so profound.The lyric writing is beyond their years .I just stumbled across this band several months ago and saw them live and I’m hooked ..I get to be a fan of this incredible talented trio for years to come ..
