Yes, brushing is part of a basic hair maintenance routine, and proper technique is crucial. Most guys don’t realize, however, the true purpose of brushing. Good thing for you we’ve put together this convenient video on why and how to brush your hair for men.
Something I'll remember for the rest of my life "Stay Strong Keep It Long"
+Good Guy Gains Yes man those #manegains!
best results to brush men's long hair that i researched!
Holy shit, I live in Poland and I bought the exact same brush two weeks ago!
A hint for anyone who wants it: brush twice per day. Brushing well before bed will assist in removing allergens, pollen and dust collected during the day, and for those with allergies and asthma, it will be helpful. Hair is porous and will trap these materials. They will cover the pillow and the face will be buried in all of that.
I just grew my hair out since quarantine, and I never knew how to really properly brush my hair 😂, dude this really helped and I love how it feels
Bro i feel u!
Is it just me or is his goat T all Fuqed up ( slightly to the right? lol

Hsgsgz Dhdhdh the truth hurts. I don’t know what’s more fucked up; his goatee or your username.

I really enjoy when you guys post videos and blogs because it boosts my motivation in letting my hair grow. Thank you guys!
+Byron Barillas Keep lettin ride man, stay strong!
This channel has really helped my hair health, I had no idea what I was doing.
I get a lot of compliments on my long hair while I'm at work daily thanks to listening to your tips and advice. You guys should make and sell enamel pins of your logo. I could buy one and point people in your direction when they ask.
when wet hair is conditioned and rinsed , I find it easier to divide my hair in the back carefully, pull sides to front and with a wide tooth comb , from bottom up comb until a snag appears , comb it out gently then continue . Grasp both sides in the back of neck comb bottom ,then from crown down over both shoulders . 3" + and flowing as a " Long Haired ROCK - N ROLL DAWG " !!!
i have to cut my 4 year old hair because i gave promise to some people including me and it is now very damaged. the problem is i saw your channel just a day ago plus i wanna try some hobbit hairstyles...
so to the other longhairs dont do what i did: i always brushed my hair while wet, always broken damaged it, did some shitty stuff with my sisters tools (broken the tools also), didnt wash enough or with right shampos... in the first years i divided it two sides and now my head has an empty line in the middle even though i am doing ponytail for the last 2 year...
definitly take good care of your hair and try different styles all the time!
i will start growing after i cut the bad hair ;) hope this helps.
xwaltranx konudan saptım ama haha İKV deki karakterini profil fotoğrafı yapmışsın :) ne yıllardı ama
The parting will be from tugging it too much. Try caffeine shampoo for that area and massage well. Could also be from stress or natural balding. Also don't tie your hair up too tight.
"This just feels fantastic" lol made me chuckle.
Thanks for posting! stay strong keep it long! ✊
Great to come across your videos! Am growing my hair back out after 12 years of it being mostly short. Past my shoulders right now, but with some layering.Have you considered switching to, or just including, a boar bristle brush in your routine? It will do a much finer job at pulling the oils down. Also, wood peg brush for the detangling? No need for plastic brushes and you'll be even happier with the results.
How's your long hair now bro ?? ☺️
I really appreciate this man I love the difference in my hair now less tangles feels great thank you 🙏
I've had long hair for a couple of years now, I'm still waiting for another long hair to show me the secret hand shake long hair dudes get up to when nobody is looking.

I think it's safe to say that at least one of the two people who disliked this video... was bald. 😂
+Roland Dawson HAHAHA!!
+The Longhairs hahaaa! anyway, great vid dude. 😂👍🏻

In one of your older videos (How to Blow Dry Your Hair), you said to carefully brush your wet hair before blow drying it. In this video you said to NEVER brush wet hair. Which one is correct now?
asgart16 Like healthy eating advice, haircare advice changes depending on the mood or buzz of the week.
Hair is not alive (apart from the root), so it doesn't care if it's wet or dry when brushed. As long as you're gentle when brushing it at any time, it doesn't matter. Maybe there's something to spreading of natural oils, but the hair is just keratin, so it's not a big deal. The most important thing for hair health is at the source: how much is it nourished when growing? You can't change the hair's content after the fact, but you can lodge oils and conditioners in the gaps of the keratin.
Your scalp is supplied by blood vessels, so is already supplied with nutrients without needing stimulation. If it were deficient in nutrients without the rest of the body being deficient, then it would also be deficient in blood in general, including oxygen carrying blood cells, and so would become numb as a result. This would be a medical issue needing more than a massage.
I don't use the comb for detangling. I tried, but my hair is thick, coarse and wavey. I use a brush for both functions. The only thing I use a comb for is styling my hair.
Another Tip you can comb your hair while wet it has to be A Wide Tooth Comb.A brush is for people with Straight hair almost always.A wide tooth comb is for wavy to curly hair to promote the way your waves or curls are naturally.
Growing my hair, in my situation is the most annoying and pain in the ass thing i ever tried to do. I work as maintenance in a private school where there's an olympic sized pool and the ventilation system is shit. So as soon as i'm in the building i'm starting to sweat a lot. Not washing my hair makes my scalp very itchy and i developp some ''irritation and pimples. So i have to wash my hair almost everyday to det rid of the sweat. I hope i'll be able to move to another place soon.
You should buy a TEK brush. I have super long hair too and this brush is the best on the market. Cheers
I use a paddle brush as well but I like the one that has boar hair bristles added in its a more expensive brush because it has a wooden base not plastic but it really works well on my hair wet or dry
Thanks for everything, guys! Your videos are very helpful, funny and motivating... It's good to know that there are some longhaired brothers out there. Keep doing what you like, and regards from Argentina!
All wear long hair! thx and much love!
thank you, this is very helpful
Thanks man. My hair feels better now than it ever has before.
+Todd Colston Nice man. Happy we could help.
I think team. Head quarters. Should have a page we're you can buy the combs and brushs
What about using one of those long combs that half is fine and half wide , also use a boar bristle brush, its what i have at hand.
Thanks man love your videos please add more as it gives me the power and knowledge to continue my journey to long hair
Don't brush angry. Love it!

@@tangoalpha1905 What??

Awesome! Thanks for the video!
Damn that’s a well balanced comb
Dude I have wavy hair, too weak and frizzy when I brush it becomes worse what should I do ? I like this channel so much!
Don t brush that type of hair , some types aren t ment to be brushed like curly hair or strong wavy hair because you destroy the curls /waves
great video! this channel has to grow cuz there's so much less content for guys with long hair..or guys with longer hair, those that are growing out their hair. what about extremely thick wavy hair? maybe too think to be combed not to mentioned brushed?
+razor 1 Thanks! We still need to get a specialist on the wavy/curly hair.
The Longhairs sounds amazing. :')
You guys should make combs
Hey man..
Thanks for your videos, you give us advice for our hair..
But please can you speak about curly hair and wavey..
+Mohammed Ibrahim Well, he doesn't have curly or wavy hair.
Need a curly hair demo please! I never brush my hair due to it always pulling hair out from it being too curly..
hey dudes great channel started growing my hair and I condition it everyday and wash once per week. I have normal hair... not greasy or dry ... just right . shall I continue to condition everyday ? Cheers Longhair!
Yes do so! It keeps your hair moisturized and healthy, also is one of the methods of prevention for split ends
Do you use oil or something before using a comb? Cuz my hair is very dry and frizzy.
GOOD TIPS BRO ...THANK YOU
KEEP GROWING ...
That paddle brush has some balls man :D Great vid!!
+lesserknowndeadman81 ;)
Thanks for the tips bro
I brush my hair when it’s wet but I do it very gently and after doing it my hair feels soft
Hey man I just started watching your channel and it rocks! How about making a video on what to do to your hair before going to bed?
Wise Fool they did
Jack Russo Yep I saw it when it came out. Posted that comment a year ago buddy haha
Wise Fool sorry for trying to help 🖕

Excellent video brother

Awesome video!
El Rubio, great instruction. By looking at your goatee, it looks like you can pull off a sick full beard. I say to give it a go. Let it Ride.
+Sir Jan - Keeper of the Vigil Nah I don't get much coverage on the sides of my face.
So do scalp massages in general assist in hair health? Like with just hands or massager claw thing.
Brilliant tutorial. Sending huge love this Friday from The Cape, South Africa ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👑👑❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Your hair is awesome :)
I am growing my hair for the first time. at 6 month now. Should I trim now or wait for a full year?
Depends on what kind of shape u r hair is in
As a greasy teenager, I skip a bath for ONE day and it becomes a greasy, nasty, and tangled mess.
welcome to the war...
Fantastic video ! I have blonde very straight hair myself, going for Long Hairs. Id like to get an advise: I had 1mm buzzcut hair and from there didnt touch it for now 6 months. Should I just grow it everywhere or should I cut the back so I dont get mullet ?
I read about this but there seems to be 50:50 suggestions to cut or not cut. Id like to know your opinion. Thank you very much! :)
If you had a buzzcut it will grow all equally.
Awesome videos guys!
+thedebo777 Thanks man!
Thank you. Was very useful
If you're only supposed to wash long hair every two or three days but still like to take showers every day, is it ok to get it wet and just not wash it?
I think it's ok to do that, when you get your hair wet, it's drys and then its fine. It probably takes a little grease out as well.
Thanks for the tips :)
You bet!
I have an issue with pulling my hair back.. after a while my scalp starts to hurt, a lot, and when I lean forwards a bit with the hair pointing forwards the pain gets fcking real, I can't explain it, I have trouble making a ponytail because of this, any advise or tips perhaps?
Vankie mabey u tied it to tight
great video, guys! 👌🏼
+lettersfrompan Thanks homie!
great segment would you be able to do one on 2b 2c wavy curly hair on combing and care, tangles n frizz is the worst frustrating to handle thanks enjoyed the video my hair is about elbow length it's hard to manage :/
+Free Will That's easy to answer. You'll need to try a bantu style braid after you get out the shower or before bed. Silk night cap goes over the section hair that is coiled in twists. Hair that is coiled together reduces frizz, naturally. Finger combing and using your fingers to coil hair is a better strategy. You can find various ways of increase the volume of naturally curly hair. Maintaining moisture in curly hair is vitally important for the health of it, because brushing isn't as viable of an option for distributing sebum.
I have long hair slowly creeping to my ass and it's thick and i mean super thick to the point it takes a good effort every morning to brush especially the back due to the way i sleep it knots up super easy. Brushing is a bit of a nightmare but i wouldn't give it up for the world well unless i start going bald haha.
Great video btw and some good tips :)
Great video! Where can I get those hair ties? Thank you :)
+Luis Hernandez They will be coming in hott on December 11th at thelonghairs.us/shop/
Never knew that was the reason for brushing lol
What is that song!

Nice vid but what are these really cool songs you are playing someone please tell me
Your hair is perfection so straight, so healthy I have found my role model please never cut your hair xx x xx
+Valen Tino Oh I wont. Actually I might donate it one day but that's not going to happen anytime soon.
Yo waddup Theoden King? 🤣🤣
hey, I know you say don't brush when wet, but my dilemma is that when I brush when fully dry my hair frizzes. Currently I am in the late awkward phase (profile pic not updated), and I haven't yet found a way around this...any advice?
Also, i always seem to accidentally catch a knot when shampooing/conditioning, any comments on this would be helpful.
Thanks for all the awesome posts!
+Andrew Villa Yo man! So if you prefer to brush when it's wet just make sure you use a brush designed for wet brushing, here is a solid one goo.gl/zdWZFG
As for the knots questions. That makes me think you are pooing incorrectly. You want to use the shampoo on the scalp and really focus on massaging it into the top of the head, the rest will run off into the rest of your hair. Do a nice rinse and then apply the conditioner from the top of your neck down, let it sit for 2-3 minutes. Once you rinse that out your hair should be feeling real smooth with little to no knots. You can then rub your hands through a couple times to make sure your knotiess.
The Longhairs also, a extra widetooth comb before rinsing out the conditioner should deal with most remaining knots in tangle-prone hair (like mine).
Been growing my hair for like 4 years now. Only getting 2 slight blowouts on sides and back. I gotta say i lose a ton of hair where ever i am. My family hates it. Don't know why i lose so much..
I'm growing out my hair, its about 1 inch away from my shoulder and this really annoying thing happens, it all falls straight then at the bottom on curls straight up, I don't know how to prevent it..please help
+Ryando Channel OK..so how do I get it straight?
+Anmol Kumar Why do you want it straight? Curls and waves look better.
Get a keratin treatment or iron your hair lol
Thanks, flat ironing didn't help, but anyways my hair is at like my nipples now lol, so now I can style it different ways. Thanks anyways guys :)
+Anmol Kumar you're telling me that it took you 4 months to get from higher than shoulder to nipple length?
Damm this is real good I am just starting to grow out my hair for the first time and most of the guys in my family are bald so this really helps
Most of the guys are bald? Ask each member of the baldy crew individually if they used any hair products in their youth, and also try and find out which brands of shampoo they used... see if you can identify any correlation between toxic products and hair loss. That's my hypothesis, balding is causing by environmental toxicity from the food/products we use etc. Going from having hair, to not having hair, is not a genetic mutation in a Positive direction. I was thinking about this recently, don't you think it's insane that no one really cares why guys hair falls out. People think it's a joke and just accept it, like it's not indicative of Sever Toxicity, when that's clearly what it is; It's The Baldy Disease.
what if my hair gets al frizzy if I don't brush it while it's wet?
I don't even comb my hair. 😆 Def going to have to change my routine.
Off topic of this video, but which products would you recommend for styling hair? I work in an office and I have to keep my hair fairly tamed during the day. I don't like the fact of always putting paste or buddy due to alcohol content. Any brand names to recommend would be awesome, thanks.
+Matthew Blanchette I usually just put a bit of argan oil and brush it and tie it back just before going to work. It will stay pretty flat most of the day. I'll usually have it in a simple badass men's tail or like a double high ball. The boss thinks its still pretty professional. So... yeah. Hope this helps!
I use a detangler as an alternate for a comb since I don't own one. Then I brush my hair with an actual brush. Is this ok?
+Arnold Farrell Yea man that's all good as long as your not ripping anything out.
Youre rocking it !
As I'm watching this I'm brushing it wet 😑 ugh I'm so stupid! I know this is for men but I'm here so I'm gonna take in as much information as I can I also didn't wash my hair I just wet it and brushed...it's been 2weeks no wash
can you guys do a curly hair video?
Let me ask is your hair uniform? Meaning doesn't it grow evenly, or is it curly or straight in some parts?
Congratulations on this channel! Found out today and have been viewing everything!
I have been growing my hair for more than a year now (right in the awkward stage) and one of the many things that piss me off is that i get dandruff if I don't wash it daily. The worst part is I know I'm not supposed to wash it daily!
But dandruff is disgusting... like, 3 days without washing already gives me dandruff for a f'ing month. It's not oily rather the opposite actually - just a bunch of dry tiny annoying white spots over my shoulders.
Is there any way I can solve this problem while simultaneously growing my hair the right way?
thanks a lot and keep it up
+To da Mouth G Dandruff as I understand it happens due to a disturbance on the scalp. Specifically, your scalp and skin naturally prefer an acidic environment. You will need to heal your scalp probably from the poor shampoos you are using causing a more alkaline environment on your scalp. Sebum is naturally acidic and it may take time for your scalp to return to homeostasis.
+To da Mouth G Go to a salon, see what they recommend.
How to have the hair damp all day like you?
Or does it grow dry or oily in some parts
why not brush it when it is wet?
This was cool, right on mane
Just sent this to my fiance'. Finally found a channel he can learn from. No more asking me. Now he can relate to another guy! pheeew.
What do you do about static? Lots of static especially in winter.
+UnwashedPearl my hair is having that static look even during summer, so I'd love to find a "cure" for that lol
+HasenDarkness Hair cream, hair pomade, hair clay, etc.
This is a good ass video forget the haterz
Starts at 5:00
Wooden brushes and combs distribute natural oils better than plastic.
So it's natural to lose a bit of hair when brushing? Because even If I run my fingers through my hair, I am guarenteed to pull out 1 hair strand, now I know that doesn't sound much but I don't like it, it seems pointless to grow my hair long if that shit happens.
Also, I thought combing would be after brushing since the comb bristles are closer to each other than the brush.
+Vinny V Yea man you will constantly be losing and gaining hair all throughout the time you have long hair. The comb first is to break up the knots, so when you brush you can get deep in there without any hangups.
